We are a travel couple, looking for a non-mainstream life of living aboard a boat and cruising in the Caribbean/Bahamas in Winter, and the Great Lakes in Summer. Working when we can to fill the cruising kitty. We have sold everything we own, and we now own a cruising yacht. We have chosen to do this voyaging in a powerboat/motor vessel, instead of the popular sailing route.
Our mission is to help inspire people to live their dreams earlier in life, instead of waiting until retirement. So often retirement dreams are dashed by health issues or other unforeseen later life circumstances. If you have a dream, then dream, plan, and do it now. We hope to make you smile, and spark the yearning in your heart for fulfilling your dreams.

Amazing work guys!! The wall looks so great!! 😍🙌
Thanks TotalBoat. It did work out very well.
i guess it's kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream new movies online ?
Nice of you to respond TotalBoat. That shows a genuine level of service. Well Done TB.
Up to now 2 years later Ive never seen such a hard working beautiful couple.Amazing job and never been so impressed. Job well done,Cheers!!!
Wow, thank you! 😊
Jamestown is a GREAT company!
You're gaining alot of knowledge by doing it and researching. Going to make life much easier as time goes by.
The interior is looking good.
Great video!...just a tip safety goggles work better for eye health than safety glasses....
for those areas you could use a Delta Sander by Proxxon Tools., its a smaller oscillating tool to acess dificult spots. better than using nasty chemicals imo.
Cool job. Like the brushes.
Y’all are quickly becoming my favorite trawler channel. Really enjoying all the DIY How-To’s
Thanks Mark! That is really nice to say.
Same here. I've been gobbling the vids up the past few evenings. Very watchable couple.
Figure it out. By the time you're done you'll be an expert
👍
Big project! Looks great
Looks fantastic!
The outtakes were hilarious!
Men lol shell sounds like me, before I duck 🤣 the backhand
lol
You guys are awesome.
I Love these Projects!! I know you guys are in a boat setting, but these projects and products are Great for all tropical, water, Ocean, Patios, Bathrooms, Kitchens, ETC!!!! Thank you!! Great Job!!!! Love the Videos!!!!!
Thank You Jack!
Really nice job with your woods, if there's no smell, that's amazing. Lovely job my dudes, I'm impressed with your work. It's going to be nice to have the peace of mind that things are nice and up to date. This is everything I wanted to see. This is how we pay for our pleasure, cause nothing is for free. Whether it's your knuckles or your bank account, we all pay. Lovely job.
Thanks Barry!
They make sanders with dust collection systems. You are doing a great job !
This episode was not as much fun! But is was still great. Nice work. I've laid down miles of marine varnish and paint over the years, and I've been using only TotalBoat for the past 4-5 years. The product is as good or better than the bigger name brands, but the pricing is SO much better. Keep it up!
Perry- mohawk produces several powder stains that you can blend with clear finishes using a brush to match existing finish when you can or can't remove dark water damaged stains
That is good to know. Thanks Perry!
Looks great guys! Now its time to get to the Keys. GOD bless, JC
Great team effort! I am amazed by how much you guys are able to tackle on your own and the quality of the results! Like when you addressed the old wood rails on the fly bridge and now this. From wood work to mechanical engineering you guys are very self sufficient, perseverant and ingenious in spite of the steep learning curves. I think a long range trawler and new adventures taking you far beyond the horizon should be in your future :)
Thanks so much! We agree a long range pilothouse trawler would be great for future plans. Let's see what happens. 👍
Excellent job on your wall, satin finish…..we had similar problem on a pair of doors, but didn’t know about Total Boat products….thanks for the tip
I am binge watching your videos today
That is awesome! Hope you are enjoying them. We are glad you are watching. Cheers friend!
Great job you two!! Messy work..but the pay off is well worth it! Hope you guys have a chance to cruise soon!
Thought after sanding, was going to see you tear it out.
Can't believe how beautiful it turned out!
Live the bloopers too.
Haaa
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job guys, I can see the product worked great from your video, We will definitely keep Total Boat in mind when we are doing our teak. tks
Thanks Guys! Hope you are well and anxious to get back to the boat. 😉
I hope y'all get back out there to that place y'all love!! Y'all are such a great couple and happy on Island Time!!🏝
Thank you. We hope to be back in the Islands after hurricane season. Can't wait!
Nice work, the project results look great! Thanks for the discount code, I'm going to try their products.
Cyndi does not seem too excited about "Mail Time". Cheers you two! Bret and Talyn.
lol, no personal care products in this one. 😃
@@SearchingforCShels maybe the next one Cyndi will have something?
Excellent information, great product, Total Boat, have used it before.
Thanks Larry!
You guys are working hard this season!
We are trying to. Still lots to do.
Poor Cindy with the outtakes!
lol 😆
Outtakes are hilarious
😜
Great work. We know all about work restoration. We are doing a refit on my Late Dads 1971 Egg Harbor. He purchased her new in 1972. One of the last wood Eggs made. Could have used the discount code 2 weeks ago before we spent 900.00 on paint supplies. Lol. Good luck with your projects.
Thanks. Sorry we didn't have the code for you sooner. Hope your projects are going well.
Thanks for the coupon. Ordered more supplies today and got our discount.
look at the finger belt sander at harbor freight. game changer bro. saw it on boatworkstoday -'5.3 Amp 1/2 in. Bandfile Belt Sander' -or the eastwood ver; Eastwood Electric Mini Belt Sander '
Awesome! Thanks for that. That is a great tool. 👍
@@SearchingforCShels They also have an oscillating tool, that I like (Variable speed), but for a sander its just ok, because the hook and loop attachments only last a short time.
I was wondering if they sent you a crew to do the work, and voila there they they were with total boat shirts on. 😂😂😂
Looks great and thanks so much got the step by step tutorial! 👍👍
Thanks for watching Steve!
Wall came out beautiful, nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!
A lot of work but worth it. It looks perfect.
Thanks Tadd!
Great job looks awesome 👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
Great video ! Looking at the list of TotalBoat products you show, I didn't notice the wood stripper you used. Which product is it ? Thanks...
Looks good guys turned out real nice
Thanks!
Sheldon if you need a good barber in Stuart go see Kathy at Nick & Kathy's barber shop. She's excellent.
Thanks! Will try them next time.
I'll be curious 3 years from now how much different the colour on that wall is compared to rest of the cabin.
Water based finishes seal the wood very well compared to an oil based finish. So well that the wood cannot naturally oxidize and "honey up"
Interesting. You are the first to mention this. The color right now is very close to the older finish in color. I'll be interested as well to see in three year. So you always prefer an oil based finish on teak?
@@SearchingforCShels I always prefer an oil based finish on all my projects. If I were a factory production facility, there is a responsibility to be environmentally conscious. As a one man "designer sawdust maker" I want to achieve the best finish both short and long term, that I can. Solvent based finishes seems to allow the wood to oxidize which lends itself to the wood naturally honeying...become warmer, inviting, compelling to touch. Twice I have used water based finishes and in both cases the wood has not honeyed up...one project was in oak...oak that cannot be replaced. The other was a set of teak accessories I made for the washroom.
That being said, the products you used on that panel...especially the stripper removing the water stains, and attention to detail was impressive. Nice work!
Thank you. We appreciate your tips and expertise.
Nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
As a wizened construction guy...at the very least when you are working above your head and looking up...use googles. Read the safety data sheet for your products, especially strippers, to find out what is in it and what to counteract for eye contact.
We know, we know. A momentary lapse of reason.
@@SearchingforCShels that is much to be preferred over a prolapse! (sometimes I just cannot help it....)
lol
Great job you guys are doing....we heard that you guys got some scooters and where looking for some recommendations ????
Yes, we have 2.
Xiaomi Mi M365 Scooter - amzn.to/2To3L7H
HiBoy S2 Pro Scooter - amzn.to/2RT2zIO
IMO the Hiboy is the best buy right now. It is equivalent to the Segway Ninebot Max in every way but for $200 cheaper.
This is a great demo. I have the same project to do and it’s super helpful to see the entire process and results. Are those Bounty Marine windows and does the interior trim come off just by unscrewing?
Thanks Shawn. Yes those are Bounty Marine windows. The interior trim just comes off by unscrewing it from the outer frame.
Great video guys! It looks great! A question, if the final finish was to be satin, what was the benefit of using the gloss as the base coat?
It was recommended by TotalBoat to do the gloss first. This will give some depth to the finish. I think if we just did the satin it it may have looked a little muddy with so many coats.
whole trick way Pro it in getting mirror type finish is in really good varnish brush [ mongoose hair brush $120 bucks ] like you see on new boats and tables ,,Don;t use that cheap sponge brush ,, need add 9 coats and sand with 3000 grit paper on last use 5000 wet sand paper and add wax and that get super finish work .. pretty much all varnish is all same
Thanks for that info. Good stuff.
Lekker man lekker
Looks great but really seems like infomercial for TOTAL BOAT. Even wearing their t shirts. Did they comp you products at a discount?
They helped us out for these projects, and supplied a discount to our viewers. Great company and great products.
Hey, first comment? LOL Love your videos! I can't wait to see you get underway again! I was curious-- have you considered checking out the Florida keys or the Dry Tortugas, or are you headed back out to the Bahamas?
We will check out the Keys, but will be going to the Bahamas first after this hurricane season.
Where are the links at?
Links are In the description under the video.
Got it thanks!
It will cost you under $100
I'm not seeing dicount code
Hi Bill,
It's in the video description.
It is TBCShels
Wow, idk how I missed that, 🙄🙄🙄😂😂😂😂☺ thanks
Geezes Cindy....please think....I love your videos, explorations, product reviews and of course, your hard labor, buttttt when you're applying stripper containing corrosive and deadly chemicals above your head, guess what you should be wearing on your nose? Can't wait for the next episode!!!
We know. The stuff was so thick we just didn't think of it when applying. Stupid. Next time will have safety glasses.
@@SearchingforCShels (I originally wrote this as a "stand-alone' comment and cut and pasted it here.): Sorry, I just have to point this out: At approx 14:07, you're painting the hatch directly above your eyes without eye glasses or goggles! That kind of jolted me to pause the vid and write this note. Otherwise, you two are very, very watchable!
Sorry about this too, but I don't have anyone to talk to at this moment: My wife and I are coming quickly to a huge crossroads. We found the trawler we've been looking for, but this one is pretty good and just a few towns away. (I don't even want to say what she is.) Here's the big issue: I could retire now with a 60% pension (about 63k USD); if I wait another 20 months, I'll get it up to 70%. I just don't want to lose her (the trawler). I don't know what to do and feel like I need to act in the next 72 hours. Anyway, fantastic job, you two, and please take care of your eyes. :)
And ur hubby looks like Mr. BIG!!
😮😆 You are actually not the first one to say that...
@@SearchingforCShels 🤣
Normally I like your videos and adventures but a 25 min commercial, not so much. Just sayin
