Why do you only like to straighten once a year? Because of heat damage?

Yup! 😏 as soon as I get it wet the curls come back. I avoid washing for at least a week
How you keep your hair straight after use the tymo ring hair straighter comb after you wash your hair
I avoid water and protect my hair in very humid environments like a hot shower. I just wrap it up and cover with a shower cap!
