I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m so drawn to the inlays that came from the fondant molds… they’re just so darned CUTE!!! They seem rounded and … bubbly, maybe? I don’t know, but I love them!

Oh, I love these inlays! If you ever could, I’d love to see how to use leftover/fail silicone in another mold. I can’t believe how many fails I’ve had and thrown away the silicone. Thank you! 🌹

I like it when you do these how to videos. I've made a couple of small molds. I used Let's Resin also but I bought the blue because it's easier to see. You're so right it's so easy to use and the molds are really nice. I really like the Halloween mold. 💗 Thanks Tracey

I won’t be able to sell them as the copyright wording on that brand is exceptionally tight I’m afraid. Maybe have a go at making your own, it’s fun :)

Bear in m ind it only works with certain moulds. regular s ilicone moulds it may not release from so you might ruin a mould :)
Another great informative video Tracey. Some really cool-looking inlays made with the skull and bone mould. I might have to find that mould for myself lol.
I agree about the nitrile gloves only being used once. The 1's I use change colour after a while wearing them. I'm assuming it's probably due to my hands sweating which is good so I always remember to throw them away after taking them off. They don't look nice when there's icky yellow-brown makes showing in places lol. xx

I had an idea & decided to try making my own heart inlays from a bought silicone mold that was older.
It worked perfectly with the silicone I had & it came loose without sticking.
Unfortunately I can't remember what silicone I used it was a very small set of bottles.
I didn't know the nitrile gloves would degrade after use.
Although I use the good gloves & then I put thinner foud handling gloves over those so I can quickly change the outer layer a couple of times if I get resin on them.
I always end up with resin on them because I'm naturally messy.
I also wear arm guards to protect my arms & an apron to protect my lap.
I tried going without the arm guards & ended up with a rash instead.
Now I don't risk it & wear the sweaty things.
Sounds like you got yourself well protected there. Yes I always get resin on mine, it's a messy hobby isn't it :)

I have to add that it very much depends on the brand and type of silicone you're using in those lovely fondent molds. I tried using the silicone putty on those, and MAN, it was a MESS! I had to throw out the batch and the mold! It literally ate the stamps that I used, too. That one seems very different, and more sensitive. Much like the platinum silicones, you have to be very careful what you use as a release spray, and what kind of rubber you put it against.
Yes that’s why I recommend the Lets Resin one and actual silicone spray

Wouldn't it be easier to make a 2nd master of the frog by using resin & giving it a permanent gloss coat?

no - for the inlays it's PVC and plastic moulds as I explain in the video. we're making inlays. More on this to come soon

Hello I'm an artist well oil painter and I'm looking to use silicone pigmented on canvas I know absolutely nothing about silicone but I'm interested in the shine and Sheen and slickness can I color the silicone and put it on canvas ? Please I need your reply
Yes you can. Mica pigments look particularly lovely, that's how I sometimes make pearly moulds. Just a small dot of any pigment that isn't water based should work

Are your molds original or are you using another persons original designs?
All as explained in the video and the brands and links to buy the originals for the inlays are in the video description. Inlays from readily available originals bought on Amazon. whereas my crystal edge moulds are my own original design.
