    Definitely deserve to be given credit for your ideas. If you want to simplify the process you can use a silicon baking sheet as your backing and run a bead of glue around the outside of your mold with a glue gun to seal it . I would try the low temperature glue to avoid any damage to the mold you choose . This also works great with cookie cutters for seasonal molds. 😊

      Interestingly, I had made several sizes of druzy inlays out of crushed glass pieces, a long time before Julie did hers.
      I’m not a TH-cam artist, so of course I didn’t post it, but I’m just saying, people can come up with similar ideas completely separately.
      I made some very small ones for using in jewellery, and various sizes up to a large coaster size. Just sayin’…..
      I had been using resin for a long time before Julie started.

    You’re so talented I wouldn’t trust myself to be able to do it myself. I’m just getting into resin thanks to watching reptiles and resin and while watching her videos you’ve popped up. I’m in love. You’re so inspiring both of you ❤ I absolutely love the tray you made with the butterflies flowers and dragonflies. I’d love to do something like that but chameleon powered for us in Canada is $40 a bit costly for me to start off as I’ve had to buy a bunch of stuff to start off. Maybe in the future I will buy the mold from you with the mica powder and try one myself. ❤

    I agree with you that if people are going to copy your designs, they should credit you for making the original item. I completely fell in love with your new fish mould with those fabulous fins that I immediately purchased one today. You make such awesome quality moulds, and I already have one of your moulds already, so the gorgeous fish mould will be my second one from you. I live in Northern Ireland, so I can't afford to buy a lot at once because of the postage costs, but the colours of gold, bronze, and purples just won me over there and then. You definitely deserve praise for the wonderful moulds and beautiful resin designs you make. I will probably copy the colours you used because you have amazing taste in putting colours together. 🤗❤Edit..I never realised how you made druzy inlays it's truly awesome. 😮

  • @mattersofthehartbynat8815
    @mattersofthehartbynat8815 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have made inlays, following your (now two year old) exact method… (and being from Brisbane myself… it was right down to the same pot plant base from Bunnings!)… but I have only used them for myself so far (they didn’t turn out good enough to sell anything that I made using them! 🤣 🤣 ); and I am not yet a TH-camr, so I certainly haven’t posted a tutorial on it!!
    However, any resin piece I sell, even to people at my local markets, comes with information about the piece, including the names of any, and all, TH-cam artists that gave me inspiration.
    I am great at copying something, a technique, a method, whatever… but I do struggle to think the way you and others do… and would simply not be able to sleep at night if I claimed to come up with all these ideas on my own!
    Oh, and I finally managed to get some of your coaster moulds… and I can’t wait to try them out!
    Thank you Julie, for being a teacher, an artist and an inspiration to soooooo many! ♥️♥️🇦🇺

    Have quick question Miss Julie. First thankyou so much. I tried your first method with the glass pieces and it didn't work out so well. I got very frustrated. Anyhow this looks like a way better method for me. I've been looking for those round housings you have used and can't find them. What if a mold of a coaster or tray that has sides was used? In the way of pouring the full mold with resin. Once cured turn coaster right side up and put a thin layer of glass and resin then poured silicone on top to make the druzy. Do you think that would work?

    Hi Julie! I love your art and the videos, you explain everything so well. I wanted to offer another thought regarding giving credit where credit is due. I agree with you 100%, but try not to get upset or over-assume… I don’t make TH-cam videos but there have been several times I’ve seen your videos and shout to my husband “hey look! She’s doing exactly what I did!!!” It’s possible for different minds to come up with the same ideas of how to do things also (but granted, there are still those who steal ideas…)
