In most fandoms, the ships tend to lean one way or the other with dynamics that majority will favor, but there always, at least, a handful of the switched dynamics (if it's popular enough). Granted, not all ships, some fandoms can be split on the dynamics of a popular ship that they favor most. Sorry about my tangent, I like to analyze the semantics of Ao3 fandom etiquette when the opportunity presents itself, lol.

Wow, I've never seen a fandom so united about bedroom dynamics like they are on Ao3 with Maxley. Not a single one of the popular (explicit) fanfics (from what I've observed) has the opposite dynamics. If I didn't wanna read about the opposite for them, I'd be kinda impressed, ngl- 😂

Which Maxley's somewhat is, but with it's 'growing by the minute' popularity, it's just weird that I have *yet* to really run into switched dynamics with a (somewhat) high kudo count. That, and there's usually at least _one_ fanfic with switched positions on the first page of highest kudo count.
In most fandoms, the ships tend to lean one way or the other with dynamics that majority will favor, but there always, at least, a handful of the switched dynamics (if it's popular enough). Granted, not all ships, some fandoms can be split on the dynamics of a popular ship that they favor most.
Sorry about my tangent, I like to analyze the semantics of Ao3 fandom etiquette when the opportunity presents itself, lol.
