Thank you Mark - I've just started my Project, and as a result of seeing your video I feel committed and in a ambitious, aggressive optimistic frame of mind. Great lesson - thank you once more. Steve Turner
Thanks, Mark. I started learning guitar in my mid-50s. I joined an amateur ensemble after 2 years of beginning learning. It was a real shock to my system but I got through it, imperfectly. It has been an enormous boost. Currently, four years later, I am putting together a set of 6 -8 pieces for open mic sessions, fo when pandemic subsides. Meanwhile, I'll be filming myself as I go to review my progress.
Thank you, Mark for some good advices! I empethasie with getting preoccupied about technique....getting out of your comfort zone at times may be disconcerting but has proved eventually to lead to new discoveries you'ld never have found by yourself in your practise room.
A big leap forward? I'm not sure what I have had that would meet your definition of that. I did have a nice step inward recently though, when I more fully realized that the music is largely for me, a form of self therapy. If you think about it, others are much more likely to enjoy your music if you enjoy it yourself anyway :) Part of the push for this btw, was something I heard Amy Grant say about her move/epiphany in this direction :) Tim O
Good advice. I went through something similar myself recently. I did a lot of the same things you mention, so good to hear it separately. It would be helpful if you could point form the steps and results in the description or a comment. Thanks.
You're absolutely right. But often there are common factors between the things that work. And it's often useful to hear what's made an impact for others.

Thank you Mark. I have become unstuck thanks to your "Practice Multiplier" course. 😊
Glad to hear that, Alfred!

Thanks, Bob. Not sure I've got the time right now. Will hopefully get onto it later.
Great advice!!!
Thanks for watching, Kristorn. Do you have a challenging goal in mind for yourself?
It is a personal and an individual problem when you don’t progress during practice. It is different for each musician.
