Hi I don’t think will be safe to put the chain over because is to lose between where you put the chain over to the hooks so when the car hit a bump can be disconnect also you don’t connect the hook up and down should be down and up so when you hit a bump will not disconnect also the lock handle should have a whole to put a lock to prevén unlock I hope you understand my point of view i text you because have many many years of experience when i Star pulling staff with the truck i did it wrong and other people teach me and everything make sense now so I just pass the info Be safe and have fun fishing
I have a similar vehicle, but there doesn't appear to be a hitch that is designed to work specifically with my year/model. Do you think I can find a universal hitche that will work?
Hi there, if the universal one says it fits on your vehicle you’re probably good. But I would bring the car to mechanic to have it installed. Universal one might require some adjustments or more knowledge to be better installed on your vehicle. You want to have it very securely installed for sure!
Criss cross chains. When you turn it won't pull them tight. The purpose of the chains isn't to hold the trailer up off the ground. They are meant to keep it attached to the vehicle. That's their only purpose. You don't want to put them over the top. They are meant to be below and criss crossed. It's not meant to keep it off the ground. Also do NOT use the climbing hooks you showed when you first hooked it up. Those are a joke and will snap in a heartbeat. Use the hooks you did at the end. True chain hooks! Under and criss cross.

Never, the towing capacity is only 1000 lbs, trailer + boat + motor, I don’t want to take the risk 😑

So my accord 2021 can pull trailer with dirt bike I been nervous to do it
I believe so, bikes are not heavy at all. Check your vehicle manual and it should tell you how much weight you can tow.
