Disney recently did the same thing with their new "Playdate with Winnie-the-Pooh" series. They even aged down all the characters and watered down the writing for a younger audience. Which is SUPER redundant for a series like Winnie-the-Pooh, a franchise that is already for a young audience.
OMFG, that show. I watched every episode of it and the "vlog", just to see how bad it was. It. Was. BAD. The characters look uncanny, the writing is so milquetoast and dumbed-down, Piglet's face is borderline punchable - not to mention they made Rabbit a girl. Plus, they're somehow able to fit a song into a mere two minutes.

To me the most upsetting part is the new version changes the harmonies from the original to be more simple and it doesn’t fit the bossa nova feel as well as the original. Also the heavy use of autotune really takes away a lot of the charm.

I hate it when Networks just take something we love from the 90s or 2000s and they are "modernizing" them with crappy animation, messy choreography and brainless plots because they couldn't think of something original now. How many brain tumor reboots have we've getting. Rugrats, Teen Titans, Ben 10, Spongebob, FoP, Winx Club, Barney, Rugrats and now this.
I know I shouldn't hate on these reboots so much. Not all reboots are bad like TMNT, She Ra, Ducktales and Scooby Doo. Those are said to be better versions from the basis they spawn from.

That new design of Tyrone has to be the UGLIEST cartoon character I've ever seen. The disease of this corporate greed is producing shows by sacrificing the creative human producers behind them, and thus, we get characters that don't feel believable or even alive. I hope I'm wrong but I have a suspicion that they've done away with having voice actors entirely and the acting and story-writing will be 100% done with AI in this new show.
