    • @tam2046
      @tam2046 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @akshatsharma1
      @akshatsharma1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I live in the US, cars aren't that expensive here. You can get a Ford Fusion around 20 lakhs here but you'll will need to pay 40 lakhs in India because of obscure laws that add 17% taxes if you buy a car that is more than 4.5 metres in the name of "registration charges" and 28% GST + 20% CESS +5% Insurance.
      Also, most Americans go to government schools also known as 'state schools' which are almost free and nearly everyone goes to these schools and the rich kids with poor grades usually go to expensive af private schools where they're parents can "settle" the stuff down and probably because they don't pass the entrance exam of government schools but they are perceived as of a bad notion like the private college going students in India.

    Great documentary, this explains how US produced great singers who had millions of YT views, great gamblers who make money by fun gambling and become millionaires while the hard working Indian students work as software engineers and CEO's for these US kids. It is good to see Indian parents struggle day and night to pay tuition fees while their US counterparts get charity funds. Both are different cultures and they are good in their own way. May God bless all the students of the world.

  • @MsOnTheOtherHand
    @MsOnTheOtherHand 4 ปีที่แล้ว +88

    For those not from the US: The US school shown is NOT typical of schools in the US. The children who attend this school come from a sub-culture in the US that is largely not successful in achieving their full social and financial potential. The reasons for this lack of success can be argued, but the facts are not argued. The most important aspect of this school is hidden beneath the dancing and singing and table standing. The most important aspect of the school is the 50+ rules. The rules teach the children from the unsuccessful sub-culture the social expectations of the predominant culture. Having internalized and practiced these rules, the children will know precisely how to navigate the broader culture in a way that will allow them a more fair competition for positions of leadership and financial reward as adults. Highest praise to the creators, educators, and to the donors who make this cultural education available.

    After spending 14 years in school, I realised that I have learned only very little. So I spend another decade educating and training myself on self-discipline through understanding and practicing few important morals and ethics. Now, that have made all the difference. It as helped me to develop an impeccable sense of responsibility. I enjoy meeting my responsibilities. None of my "teachers" helped me with identifying and developing the much needed morals and ethics in life. Schools gave importance only for ranks and grades. Not in developing us into better human beings. Indian schools are developing well taught slaves for corporates.

That's where we as a society have so many terrible unspeakable crimes happening among us. I'm an indian school student.
    I will truly say that this things are not 100%true but 60%is true. We go to school by school bus or walking.
    Usually school starts at 9:30 and ends at 4:15 pm. It will vary from place to place.
    We have (high school students)8 periods,5 before lunch and 3 after lunch (in my school).
    We have to study 8+subjects
    English, Maths, chemistry, physics, biology, history, geography, politics,economics (sociology) and hindi are compulsory subjects and native language (s)
    In my school I had many functions, presentations, seminars, counseling sessions,and programs in the national days annual day and co- caricular activities such as dancing,
    Writting, sports and all.
    We have school, district and state arts fests in which participants are provided facilities by schools. If you are able to win title prises you will be granted by scholarship and additional marks in exams.
    And we have many volunteer clubs such as scouts and guides,nss, student police, and all
    Class rooms have minimum standards and schools having definite facilities are granted working permit. Students up to 14 years are provided meals from schools.
    School bags are so heavy can weigh up to 10 kg oh🙄!
    But we have to study all these subjects and there are three board
    Exams every year from class 1to 12.
    This is other than the usual class tests.only students who score more than pass mark in the last exam are eligible to pass to the next standard.
    We have all schooling facilities with in our little village from pre kg to higher secondary and there are many higher education institutions under govt who provide free education (education from 5 to 14 years are always free).
    It is so hard to survive (for the large mediocre students, parents always except the highest grads from students)😭😭😭
    During lock down I miss my school

    I am an alumni of CMS. I passed out from a branch of this school back in 2012. And I have to say, all thats being shown in this video is the glamorized version of this school and not the reality.
    It's not a school, it's more of a corrupt educational institution that focuses solely on profit margins.
    My sister currently teaches in this school, so I know this school both from the student as well as teacher's perspective.
    I have studied under tin sheds with plywood walls you can literally punch through while my fellow classmates were passing out left and right in this school and I have seen teachers hand out question papers to their students just before exams that miraculously had the same questions with the same exact values that were going to be asked in the exams! 😀
    Meanwhile teachers are overworked, on average working around 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.
    In India government has a law that forces unaided private schools to reserve 25% of its seats for poor students under right to education and I had not seen even one such student study in this school during my whole 15 years in this school. And they still don't do that, meanwhile forcing parents to cough out more and more money in the name of events and other illegal practices.
    I know it might seem like a rant but I have alot of good memories of my school life. I am just telling the reality of this school.
    It's the same with a lot of private educational institutions in India.

      What you have shared and said is the truth and applicable to all private schools across India. Govt really has to make some changes and stricter control on private school which produce only either English or mother tongue ranting zombies fit enough for an urban slave work like testing engineers in IT etc. As an engineer from India I would rather take a school drop out and mould than find use for such B grade Chinese makes. that also answers why we can hardly make any worthwhile world class product except jewellery, pickles and papads for the world market

    i used to study In an indian school before I shifted to an American school during 6th grade. In comparison, I can conclude that the syllabus from the indian system is hella easy (just need to byheart every word) but is so much in quantity and extremely competitive, while the syllabus in the American system covers less and more laid back, but requires concept application during exams. The teachers in the American system are 100000000000000000x more laid back compared to the teachers in the indian system.
