    i just stumbled upon this video. You are so much clearer than that Al Tab guy!! He takes it so fast that you have to backup all the time. Anyways, thanks for the video.

      Thanks a lot for your comment. Everyone has their own strength and weaknesses. In terms of LS DYNA knowledge, I believe Al Tab has more experience. However, my tutorials are made for those who has zero knowledge in LS DYNA, that's why I try to explain as much as I can. :)

    Hi Ameen thank you for the tutorial, when I run the model my plate did not tear it just crept. and I used inivel for the velocity assignment instead of 'initial>>velocity' but I got 'node out of range velocity' error. What is the problem:(

    • @AmeenTopa
      @AmeenTopa  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are few things that you can check:
      - The velocity is assigned to the bullet not to the target
      - The value of velocity is not extremely high (check the units)
      - The material properties (check for typos)
      The above three are general tips. I need more information to give a more useful answer.

      I have not investigated this matter. But as far as I know, there is no effect as long as you make your mesh adequately sized.
      The way how pre post makes the sphere, is making a circle first, then rotate that circle around an axis which goes through it. I believe this is the meaning of the two vectors. The normal of the circle and the axis of rotation.

      Beam elements are made of nodes. You can merge (connect) them using Merge Duplicate Nodes. The beams will be merged at the overlapped nodes.

    Sir does height of the ball makes difference like if we take different height does the result changes

    • @AmeenTopa
      @AmeenTopa  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. The ball will travel at the given initial velocity until it hits the target. This is because we didn't define gravity in this example (it is not needed here).
      To see how to define gravity, check my tutorial on Reinforced Concrete and Wrecking Ball.

      The Master is the body that will be hit (target). The slave is the moving body. It does not necessary be rigid. It can be deformable also.
