She is one of the most interesting drummer I heard so far. And as I see she plays a lot in shopping malls. She has a band called MUSES but I don’t know if they are still acting. I hope this lady comes out of the shadow and the whole world can see and hear what a wonderful musician she is.
Wow. What a talent this young lady is. Love the percussionist playing the block whose change made her go on a very "Bonham like" run. Great stuff. It'll be fun to see how much more she continues to hone her craft.

I make a distinction between solo percussionists and drummers based on the musical function of the strokes. This soloing doesn't contain any musical elements except for the midi track that is triggered a couple of times. To be a good drummer takes a lot of experience from playing with other musicians in different genres. A good drummer never over play the drums and intuitively knows what groove will benefit the music to its genre. The background music is terrible...
Kanade has been playing with professional musicians sitting in live performances since she was 6 years old. Kanade is not only a good drummer, she is one of the best drummers playing today. By the way, she is part of r or 5 groups, 3 of her own, that span genres from jazz fusion, rock, and metal, she can do it all. I think this video comes from either a drum festival or a drum competition. By the way, Kanade won the “Hit Like a Girl” drum competition when she was 12!
@@nfpnone8248 So I listened to Kanade in various performances and I have changed my mind - she is a good band drummer. The performance that grabbed me, and that I think is showing her musicality better than earlier material is 'a new picture' live with KOIAI
She's currently a member of 2 bands, Muses, a 4 piece Jazz fusion band, and Koiai, a pop/rock/metal prog band(which is lead by a child prodigy guitarist, Lisa-X). That itself says a lot. Check them out
