Cycling in Perth - Day 3 - Sunset Coast

- My last day cycling in Perth, I couldn't resist the water! The Sunset Coast is stunning, and cycling is made easy with a bike path that seems to go on forever. People surfing, cafes, dogs, white sand, blue water, I could've stayed all day 😍

As an ex Perth boy who now lives in the UK, this was a cycle down memory lane thank you ✌❤
Ooooh it'll be cold over there now! thanks for watching! 😍
I went on the original Over-55s bike ride in 1984 - though I was only 37 at the time! I was invited as Team Leader of the Perth Bikeplan Team - first Perth Metropolitan Bikeplan was released in 1985.
Lots of people on that first ride (from the Causeway (eastern end of Perth CBD) to the University of Western Australia) who were quite nervous and unsure about riding a bike - after a couple of kilometres or so, much of the nervousness disappeared and I asked some how fast they though they were riding. Most estimated 10-15km/hr - my bike speedometer showed 25km/hr!
and, yes, that path predated the Perth Bikeplan, but much of what you rode on happened as a result of the 1985 Plan and its successor, the Perth Bicycle Network Plan of 1996.
Hi! 👋 Wow that's incredible 😃 I heard that Perth had strategically invested in the bike network early on.Thank you for confirming details and dates, and for your contribution in making it happen! They are years and years ahead of the other states, but a perfect example of why that forward thinking is needed now. South Australia is starting to do, which is great to see 🚴🚴♀️🚴🚴🚴♀️
You're like an old bloke magnet.. 😁 when you get back to Radelaide I'll give you a ride on my latest ebike. It's an Engwe EP2 Pro. Plenty of vids on here about them.
🤣 an old bloke magnet! Someone said I was an animal magnet the other day! I'm actually just a magnet posing as a human 🧲 😅 but shhh, don't tell anyone!
Oh no wet riding shoes 😮. Nice ride beautiful scenery. Thanks for another fantastic ride ❤
It was worth getting accidentally wet!! 😅 Perth is such a beautiful place, thanks for watching! 🥰
Your videos in WA, were so informative about trails over there. Makes me want to go over there.
You seem to attract animals to you!!😮.

@@CyclewithSerafina Pity it's so far from NZ, everywhere :)
It's one of the reasons I live in Australia! 😜🦘🐨✈️🥝✈️
Are you editing these away videos on your phone or on a laptop? WA looks great. It's the only state I've never been to in Oz. Thanks for taking us there.
Laptop, definitely not phone! Waaaay too much editing to be done 😁 big job! If you get the chance, definitely go, it's such a hidden paradise 🚴♀️💓🚴♂️ thanks for watching! Oh and flick me a message about the e-bike 😀
I love your Perth videos. Did you manage to take óne of the Veloways to the Perth Hills, it's something I really enjoy
I've saved that one for when I go back 😁🚴♀️ there's so much to do, it's great!!
Absolutely love learning about cycling on the other side of the globe. Thanks a million for sharing your ride experiences with us. Does Randle have an over 80 group? I can't find one in South Florida, USA.
Thanks for watching Bobo😍 sounds like you might need to come over to Australia and inspire an over 80's group over here! 💪😀🚴
We do have some over 80s in our club still riding strong.
When are you heading back?
I'm back!
Next time , go to Rottnest Island , cyclists paradise
