I think you summed that up just right Darren. It's that clean sound from the Vanquish that makes it such a great beach machine. The targets are more defined and you don't have all that sparkiness going on to muddy the waters. With the Simplex it is often difficult to tell a genuine target from the chatter.
Multi freq is king on beaches 👍🏼👍🏼 i recon simplex would of performed a little better if the vanquish was turned off as can here the interference between the 2 but vanquish was loud and clear
There quite away apart and there's static as the coils lifted near the cam. But as you and the tester for the main dealer have stated the issue this machine suffers with emi, may not make it a viable option for events if it impares its use. When it comes to wet sand or beach these 2 machines are in different leagues. Thx for your coment and good luck if your out.
It'd the original version. The simplex is a world away now from that original release software now, but its still not technically as good as the vanquish in wet salt sand conditions.

Thank you Darren, a good honest review from a good honest detectorist . Just what we need. Keep up the good work.
No contest whatsoever Darren, who could argue with that.
Simplex overall is a better detector, better build, completely waterproof and with the right settings and ground balance is deeper
The mistake on the Vanquish was they never made it waterproof

Hi Darren is the dose the 340 go as deep as the 440, cheers
There's no real difference between the 340 or 440 with regards to frequency or depth
