I remember you showing me this tree at your place when I visited and being absolutely enamored with it. You have lots of nice trees, but this one is very special. Like the new pot, btw.
This tree is really cool. I’ve always liked how much you’ve been able to age the tree, for how small and or young it actually is. The way the branches are wired, kind of reminds me of a weeping willow though. Idk how I feel about that. Either way, it’s still a cool little juniper and gives that old juniper in the mountains feeling. Great video as always, Eric.
What is with all these red handled scissors?!? I see them being used on multiple channels...What makes them unique/special Eric? I thnk this pots color ties it to the tree better than the previous pot...Looks great!
I'm pretty sure they're Japanese-made ARS SS380 Long Reach Bonsai Scissors. I got some via Amazon for about $17. Work great for trimming small branches. ARS makes good stuff.
Lol. Re: scissors - I actually don't know where they come from. I think Joshua Roth may have made them a while ago but I'm not sure now. Jay (who I have videos with here on the channel) is a funny guy sometimes. He would buy the scissors years ago, use them until they got dull, then stick them in a coffee can in the corner of his shop. A year or so ago he was complaining that he couldn't find them any more...so I took the coffee can full and sharpened about 20 pairs. I gave him back 15 or so and kept the rest for myself to use around the shop. What I've found since is that they are a really good "beater" scissor, particularly for repotting. I use them when I don't want to dull my good scissors. I just did a little searching and they are in fact Joshua Roth #130, but there appear to be other versions out there also: amzn.to/3BJVnWL
@@Bonsaify Thanks for replying Eric...So many don't bother...I was just wonder since I see them in so many videos...I zipped over the A/P and put some in my 'want list'...I'm also looking into starting my Bonsai tool collection...So many decisions, High Carbon or Stainless, 8" or 11" and which brand/maker to start researching...As you know, the dollars amount and quality are vast...This may be why I don't get responses as I am pretty wordy...Thanks again, Love your channel and content...
I love this tree. It’s such a great example of creating age and dramatic natural effect. Thank you Eric
Beautiful tree and engaging video. Definitely looks like a juniper one would see in the mountains.
Great video Eric nice little tree
This is the best bonsai channel on TH-cam, prove me wrong with your recommendations
Absolutely. Crazy that others may have waaaay more subscribers, yet not have anywhere near the quality of content.
@@Cory_J they also don't know what they're talking about.
100% the best little bonsai small business/TH-cam channel. Would love to meet and hang out one day!

Beautiful aged looking tree.
👍👌🙂
I love the first images of the tree in this video, the final tree in the video looks like a tree after a nuclear attack.

I am sorry but in my opinion it looked better before the transformation..
