Great question, I have purchased in various ways. Once from ebay, once I bought a brand new bike and ripped the engine out of it and several from a company that buys new bikes and strips them into parts and sells them. I have been able to buy several brand new engines this way.
@NixonMotorsports can you help me with the name of that company? I have a 07 engine on my car, and I want to upgrade. Also in the meantime, I wanted to try and put the 2020-2023 throttle bodies on my 07 engine, 43mm vs 47mm, but not sure about the spacing, I want the electronic throttle. Thanks for your help
@@martindegetau1457 sure happy too, I use www.usamotoparts.com. Not sure what they have around. I have also purchase 1-2 engines used from ebay like many others. As long as the engine is low mileage it is fine as you need to have the engine rebuilt before use anyhow. Good luck, I hope this helps
Great question, I’ve done both new and used engines. The one reason I’ve gone the new engine path was because engines over time have advantages big or small incorporated in them over the years for either reliability or performance. That’s why I go with new engines to get the latest technology. Regardless new or used you would need to have the engine builder do their thing and have it on the dyno before you install. Great question, cheers
@@NixonMotorsports sounds like you have alot of money lying around... I rebuild gen 4 engines from eBay for 1.5-2k and spend $500 on parts, then I street tune them and usually make around 240-260hp with NA motors and 400hp I'm going turbo. It's a shame that motorsports has become the rich folks spot were it's all just millionaire guys in there 50s and it's a contest of who has more $$$ and not about the car... Smh
@@mishaisspeed Sounfs like you have it all sorted out. That is good hp, the best we have seen is 223 hp. I too have used a few used engines from ebay, that works for sure. Thanks for the comments!

Very nice video and a lot of very useful information.
What oil scavage pump are you using?
Thanks! I use BRD dry sumps. Check them out they make a few versions.
@@NixonMotorsports thanks a lot for the information :)
Wish you all the best
@@andreicampean5187 Cool same to you. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have!
Are you using a Bosch Ignition Module or a CDI module for your ignition system?
Ah sure, I use the 4 channel Bosch module. It works well with zero issues.
Where do you buy the engines from?

That sounds like a plan!
