Most of the cars in this vid have 1.1 or 1.2lt engines putting out considerable amount power given their size and weight.They are also considered very bang for buck, and in most cases will cost considerably less than a typical piston engine to say achieve 10sec 1/4s. Heaps of air/exhaust flow also lets the engine utilise larger turbo's better for strip. Circuit racing rotaries can be mounted ultra low and deep under the dash for a great centre of gravity
