This car is like the devil Z in the wangan.

Its sept 2018 why has nobody else produced a twin cam head for the l28. It sure would help save on engine swaps.....we have rapid prototyping now and 3D printing. You could easily adapt a four cylinder design . It could be a very affordable head.Why doesnt Giken produce them why only 9 .I heard they built another run , but surely it can be mass produced on a limited run to have more enthusiasts glorifing this great concept. I dont like engine swaps but a HEAD swap is a beautiful thing.

the head iz a really nice piece of work ,the revs are 2 sic for words the os with a stock z crank polished would work w/ add in race valves and guides / seals.., moderate cam ,the supa dampner , webers with some rock screen, the os head is,20 to 50 k but turns a z block into a six hyabusa racer i mean rica ahuh huh...... needs 2 oil pumps and a roller cam oooh 8 k rpm red line carbon drive and half shafts and some konis and this z woulld run with a vette sayanara sucas my 260 did 145 weekly 18 tickets in 3 months on pirrelies lowered stock

the stock l24 240z engine had more torque then the stock s20 engine in the 432z.. only 10 hp less for the l24.

There's a couple spots actually. My favorite is the one where the statue is a robot and there's two giant cylinders for miscallaneous fluid.

@br1anzkilLs no its not the whole drive train, you dont need a different transmission or block or diff or anything like that its just a bored out block with a different head....

It's actually just not the head. It's the whole drivetrain. You need it to run extra cam and gears. So it's also a block. That you need for the head.

@superjump01 While petty it may be. The bumpers are not the same. The fairlady bumper has less holes in it and an USDM bumper ever had. If you wanna go on models not offered here, there is also the 240zg. That was offered in japan. Its the internet so it is serious business and all. I just didn't like that you were a smart ass. Otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered responding. The fairlady is not the same car, but, like EVERY model offered in USDM and JDM versions, they are very similar.

@superjump01 Also, notice that the fairlady does not have the rear marker lights, only the front ones. The drag guys in Japan usually build 3.0-3.2 L28's that are stroked and poked. I am pretty sure the front grills are also different for the fairlady, I am sure there are some things I am missing. They are in fact a totally different car. Any dedicated z owner knows that Mr. K built the Z focused on the American market. The z is what actually got Japanese sports cars going in America.

@superjump01 The engine was different, the bumpers were different, the tail lights were different, hell, the front turn signals were different. Yes, the lenses are the same. The housings are not. If you wanna get really into detail, the factory the mirrors were on the fenders. The L28 was taxed heavier, because it was a larger emissions. The entire purpose behind the 432 and 432r was to put a higher powered engine in there, without going over a displacement above 2.0L to avoid the extra taxes.

OS Giken is going to make a few more of these heads this year. I couldn't find a price but I heard they are all spoken for.

@theunknownknows they are light, and if tuned properly produce mad fuckin' power. plus they sound fuckin' rad. the devil himself has a 26B from the 787b in his sa22c.
