Now everywhere u go in Atlanta is a ghetto...literally. Went back after 20 yrs and every county from Roswell, Jonesboro, Clayton, Cobb, Gwinnett has gotten ratchet af. Cant go no where out there these days and not see some ghetto ass mofos. Tearing down every project was a horrible mistake.
An as systemic racism goes, my hood n alot of others are still vacant lots thats are just sitting. They talking about wait a year n that shit was so long ago. They lied to everyone in every apts they knocked down. Its a video on how AHA was dirty af.
I hate how they used that young lady who got moved out into another space...it wasn’t like that for most but they made her seem petty with the sink comment 🤦🏾♀️
So... they knocked down these projects, most residents get gentrified elsewhere.... and some big shot landowner gets to make way more money off of the centrally located prime real estate. These complexes could have been renovated earlier. Police should have shown more care about crime earlier. The city could have shown more concern prior to so many people being killed. But they didn't. They chose not to.
I'm the cracker on the backhoe that put in all the playgrounds back in 1998. Volunteers (pancake breakfast group) called me at the last minute cuz they didn't know what the hell they're doing. Installed the 11 play areas throughout the property in 3 days. Then, over 500 children had something to play on✌💖
