I graduated from this school in 2000 and it looks damn near the same in many of those areas as it did back then...especially those stalls smh This is beyond ridiculous and I feel bad for the students
The county kept putting it off... Now they have no choice but to deal with the renovations and now the news, children, parents, etc. Good for these kids, taking the initiative on fixing things!
I went to Dunwoody HS! I played on the girl’s basketball team and whenever we played against Druid Hills at their gym I always felt gross out by the conditions of the locker rooms. Mind y’all, that was over 10 years ago. Dekalb county needs to do better. Dunwoody HS (which is also in dekalb county) was able to get a whole new building built but Druid Hills and other schools, where their are higher numbers of minority students, don’t ever get the funding they need to get renovations done. This is a health hazard and should be taken seriously
but the thing is they had some of those issues in the year 2000. So what rock was you hiding under, that made you not see a few of these things going on? What's with the teachers there??
This is a very bad condition for childern to atten this school with mold wate coming from the grounds this is very terrible environment for the students every student that attends North Drull Hills life is in danger mold is very serious plus wate matter on the campus yard the school should be close due to all the conditon this school has.Noy to open until all the conditions are done i am a tax payer in Dekalb and this is no excuse for a educational school looks this way
I guess I'm the only person who is not surprised by this. Most states are in massive debt. Illinois for example is in debt $300 billion just for unfunded pensions. Calif. is around $1 trillion in debt. You guys can be outraged as much as you want but if your city or state doesn't have the money for renovations there's not a lot you can hope for. Everybody knows the USA is in debt around $900,000 per taxpayer but it's really the debt on state and city balance sheets you should be worried about.
If the conditions are this bad at this school and it is not on the list for repairs, then how damm bad are things at the schools that did make the list?
The board was sitting in a very well appointed elevated. Dias They should meet in the high school. Gymnasium. They should be required to use the rest rooms of the high school People should be very very careful whom they elect to school boards.

This is sad. It used to be one of the most beautiful schools in Dekalb.

Thats crazy, because most homes in that area are 600k to 3 million.... And that the main reason people move to that area, is for better schools...

we need to invest in our children or the future of our kids and grandkids and so on looks very grim
I am sure the school has updated sports facilities. School board members get more excited about sports- not school safety.
