How can you not if you fiend for it in this piece of heaven for earth. Dear Lord let me not be blasphemous. This is what I hope God's voice sounds like.
I so love this band and this version of "Calfskin Smack" really kicks it! How wonderful it would be to see these beautiful people put aside their differences and perform this music in all it's sizzle, burn ands glow? I always feel so uplifted - thank you Cocteau Twins!
This song is beyond words....i cannot describe what i feel right now...WOW, simply breath taking, and the images are a perfect match!! Thanx Shumy for another CT Gem!!
I love this shimmery live version! It's very nice to be able to watch your vid this evening, Davey, after the hang-ups earlier today from a certain record label that shall go unnamed. Very neat images and scenes you've pulled together here, including clips of Liz Taylor. I also love the colored dyes injected into the clear liquid and swirling about - kind of like the song itself!
This actually sounds richer and warmer than the studio version. Sounds more like their 80s stuff with all that reverb. All thats missing is those lovely harmonised backing vocals.
This version is really much better than the flat sterile studio recording on "Milk & Kisses". After 25 years, still one of the best songs in the CT universe, forever and ever! Great!
whaaaat?! all these decades and I've never heard this version? i much prefer the other version though, much prefer the vocals. don't get me wrong, this version is wicked too.
Yeah the studio version iz mo'...summery - lighter, more ethereal...this mix haz more depth, love Robbo'z guitar-sound and Simon'z rubbery bass...don't alwayz like the sound of Liz Frasier's vocalz - yep, I said it - but overall, interesting to hear a more spontaneous delivery from her.
I love this version, thanks for posting Shum. Anybody else than me who hears the missing Ooh-la-la-la-la-la-la-la's in their heads? :-)
Yep! This is an awesome version though. How did they do it? Perfection, time and time again.....
Of course. I hear them in my head, which is about to fall off.....

Oh my Dear Shummy! A masterpiece! My favorite of all favorites!! All hail to the Goddess Elizabeth!!!
I prefer this version - without the layering of vocals and with the "wall of sound"
Grithron2 it's cool hearing her sing all the parts at once

I believe this version is from the BBC sessions double CD (for those who remember such things). Amazing song!
This version is really much better than the flat sterile studio recording on "Milk & Kisses".

@bukra65 Indeed--I'm sad to say I discovered them far too late; I wish I could see them perform.

NO Idea what the lyrics are... & please don't tell me I DON'T want to know. The magic is in the sound & Not knowing.
