    Gothops thanks for your comment ! You can as along as you feel a little tension or strain in the Achilles while
    You are doing it. Most studies recommend it with straight leg but it is worth a try as your body might respond better this way :)

    Hi. I have insertional achilles tendinopathy. Can I also do non insertional exercises? Thank you

    Is it safe to run while in a rehab program such as this or better to wait to heal before resuming running/walking? I notice the pain is somewhat worse (not unbearable) after a run but that might just be an inflammatory response which you are trying to stimulate anyway with the eccentric strengthening exercises.

    Any videos on peroneal tendonitis? And any thoughts on insoles, shoes or orthotics?

    Thanks for the video! For non insertional Achilles tendinopathy, can you also do that exercise with the knee bent?

      Totally! The more you stress the Achilles the more resistant it will be to any future activity of any demand!

    quick question- can the FHL muscle be strengthened following the same approach as the FDL exercise by wrapping the band under the big toe only? I have FHL tendonitis so wondering if that would help. Thanks.

    Am I still have a chance of 100% recovery of my Achilles Tendonitis? I'm scared that it will heal.

    Thank you mine is down at the heel bone so I'll be doing the first demo. Is there massaging method to stimulate oxygen and healing right along with the exercises in the video?

      Hi David. Try using your fingers to rub over the area or rub VERY gentle with a blunt or curved corner - like that of pen - at just a minor pain level. That might help to produce a small inflammatory response to promote some healing. You should see a health care provider before doing this on your own of course :)

    if you have insertional achiilis problems should i perform the exercises shown at the start of the video + the eccentric heel drop together everyday for 12 weeks?

      Hi Micheal. You should always consult a doctor or your health practitioner before doing any exercise. That aside, if you have a problem that is similar to the insertional achilles tendinopathy I described than I am sure your chiropractor, physio or MD would recommend something similar. Without reviewing your case it is impossible to say what you should or should not do.

    How would you know if you tore your Achilles?

    • @DrAlexRitza
      @DrAlexRitza  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sonia. If you are even concerned about tearing your achilles tendon you should see a medical professional. If it was completely torn you would not be able to point your toes. If it was partially torn this movement would be very painful and weak. I hope you get some care soon

    is it ok to feel acute pain while stretching the calf when having an insertion tendinitis?

      Generally not Luis. Back off the intensity of the stretch or consult a professional as it sounds like it could need professional help.
