    This worked! Had a sharp pain under left shoulder. Breathing into the ice pack, rolling on a ball, and the foam roller knocked it down by about 80%. Very grateful for this!

    Using the foam roller sideways instead of up and down the back has been hugely benefit for me. Ah. I would reccomend this for anyone suffer tight muscle pain issues in the scapula area. So foam roll long ways instead, roll your body left and right using arms and legs. Hope this helps anyone out there suffering.

      Eve30 if you have LuxFit Foam Roller or any foam roller put it on your back on the floor roller your back on it where you feel the pain and focus on that position, do that for 2min or more
      after Neil down legs and your hands, and push your shoulder blade in and out like you want to do push up, do that for 2min as well do it over and over for some days I believe you feel better. I wish I can show how to do better. I hope this will help if you do it in a right way

      Your not alone my man, I am 23 and the pain started a few years ago. The chiropractor told me the left side of my body was SLIGHTLY lower than my right, which is where the pain is happening. When I correct my posture it feels better, my recommendation would be to see the Chiro and start doing exercises to try to fix it. It really affects my quality of life, I feel it even without working.

    I have this pain as we speak.. it all started on a flight to Colorado. I fell asleep laying face down on the eating tray with my arms crossed. I woke up 3 hours later to get off the plane, and my left arm was completely numb, and didn’t go back to normal until we boarded the flight home a week later... since then I’ve had this sharp, cold, sting pain that pushes through by my heart. I thought it was a heart issue and went to the hospital in hopes it wasn’t anything serious. I wasn’t diagnosed with anything, yet still experience this cold, sharp pain.

    I’ve had issues with my L scapula /shoulder for 3 years. Had many diagnosis, elevated first rib, impingement etc.. I still continued on my own to figure it out and correct, sometimes being a little too aggressive etc.. My scalenes have always been a major source of pain with my neck. Recently though I have felt like something was under my scapula. Everyone thought a tight subscap. My ribcage began to feel extremely torqued/twisted. This was after doing some lower body work, just hip hinging and glute stuff. I know my glutes / spine are weak. Well this made everything way worse in my ribcage. I know there is muscular weakness somewhere, I’m not stretching or strengthening the correct thing/s. Now my right scapula is aching, never before has this happened. I just recently had some xrays. Now it shows some scoliosis in thoracic and anterolesis in c7 on t1. Whatever is going on something too weak and something too string, seriously not symmetrical. Do you have any suggestions since no one here has a clue. It’s getting worse. My dominant side is the thicker shortened side. The xray shows my spine being pulled to the left. So which side would I strengthen more? Sorry, but at my wits end. I know it’s fixable if I strengthen correct muscles. Any suggestions? I do use a lacrosse ball to release muscles. Will your exercises help. Will hanging help? Thank you

  • @1drlnd
    @1drlnd 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I’ve had this issue for several years and have been to chiropractors and had some physical therapy. Chiropractors have been the most helpful with this issue because they offer the most immediate and dramatic relief, and have a much better understanding of my issue. Physical therapy hasn’t been helpful at all. All of the physical therapists I’ve seen don’t seem to have any kind of understanding of my pain and seem to be giving me arbitrary treatment.
    I really love this video. I think it offers a lot of good insight and advice. I have discovered many of these exercises and treatments on my own experimenting with stretching, my foam roller, and the way I ice it. They provide some relief, but not significant. This video has shown me some ways I might be able to fine tune these exercises and treatments, so I’m excited to give it a try and see how it works out.
    Thank you.

      Could have to do with the chest and above the diaphragm, and happens in pneumonia incidents, and is called side pleurisy, and sharp pains that feel as if your were grabbed suddenly by knifepoints, when you breath, expanding and contracting surfaces that need to be lubricated. The chest cavity that contains the lungs, those parts that expand and contract move against two layers of pleura surfaces that move against each other an inner and outer, visceral and pareital, so may not even be an ortho problem.
      Same as the knees and shoulders, feet, hands, hips where synovial fluid allows for movement.

    • @Elijahs0World
      @Elijahs0World 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds like pleurisy. I have Lupus and I get pleurisy a lot. It hurts everytime you breathe so you take in shallow breaths. It also makes you fatiqued and causes sharp chest pain, shoulder blade pain, and lung pain.

      @@monabts3143 yes it did. I also found out though that some of the anxiety was from an acid reflux. I just did not realize it because it was not coming up in my throat.
      I used the lacrosse ball and stretching methods and it definitely helped my shoulder over the last 2 weeks.
      You can get a pack of two lacrosse balls on Amazon for less than $10
      I will say that I had better success with the lacrosse ball penned between my back and the wall, As opposed to using the floor. It was not as intense and much easier to trigger the right spot/knot.

    Dealing with this off and on for about 6 months, physical therapy helps, but pain is always chasing me. Trying to find a comfortable way to sleep, skiing and driving seem to make the pain worse. Your suggestions eased the pain, trying to work on postural improvement and strengthening my back. Was wondering if acupuncture would be beneficial.

    This morning the pain made me cry. Couldn’t breather because it made it worse. I did the stretches/exercises but didn’t feel much relief. After about an hour of unbearable pain it went down slightly, enough where I wasn’t screaming and groaning anymore. I’ve heard and read that many times this pain is from acid reflux. Is that true and if so does any stretch/exercise help take the pain down/away?
