  • This video is about the TNW ASR, which stands for Aero Survival Rifle. TNW is the manufacture. This is a multi caliber take down rifle, if the additional caliber kits are purchased. It uses Glock mags. And this is my review on what I found to be with the rifle. Hope this info is helpful. Nice video 👍 In my neck of the (canadian) woods, sub2k gen2 $8-900, TNW $1000-1100, JR $1000-1250, Thureon $1500-$1700. I ended up getting the TNW after a week of reading and watching tube reviews. I saw a cx4 for $1100 but I passed on the offer. I heard the storm is one of the most reliable pcc but I just can't get over the look. According to the dealer, I got the new TNW asr productions (void of previous issues) hopefully.

      +amasoak47 Good luck with it. Yes the CX4 is as ugly as the Highpoint. Good choice.

      amasoak47 hey brother another Canuck from Ontario here. I just emailed jon@northsylva.com who is the TNW rep for Canada and is in the GTA area. I saw a few accessories that I wanted to add so I'm having him price me out on a custom TNW. Check out the TNW website to see all the toys you can add on or upgrade with. Yeah of the five PCC's you mentioned the Beretta with a fake supressor looked hella better but still it looks like a kid that only a mother could love. It was a toss up between the TNW and the JR and I was leaning towards the JR since it takes M&P mags which I have plenty of since I shoot an M&P pistol but they charge $150 more for it than the glock one which cheesed me off. I'll see if I can attach the accessories.

    Thanks for your honesty. Great review. I'm looking more into these and the website for TNW has some awesome accessories like a smooth match trigger, hand guards, vertical grip, etc.. So I plan to customize mine a little.

    Good vid I have the same thing but the pistol version 9mm . ONE THE BEST GUN INVESTMENT.. this gun takes almost any Glock mag.. with a extra barrel and Bolt you can switch out calibers within a few minutes!!

    Just got the ASP version with short barrel. It’s stocked at 9mm but can convert to .40 and.357 sig. haven’t fired it yet. Going to go to the gun range later on. I got a dark green one with buffer on back. Gotta get some accessories.

    There is no recurve, or take down here? The top, wood and black bow is a Martin Warthog Magnum I bought in 1989, and the bottom one is a Bear Strike I bought in 2010. Hope this answers your question.

    which scope is that you put on there? just picked one of these up but don't like the scope it came with 2 much...

    • @johnhall4638
      @johnhall4638 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the scope it comes with sucks. paper plate groups at 25 yds. I took it off and put a True Glow red dot on it. now it's quarter size groups at 25 yds. Great gun, lousy scope. Tru Glow did the job on this and my high point. Holds zero, No Problem. Sold the scope for 25 dollars.

    Have you tried powder coating your cast bullets? I powder coat all my bullets. Its less expensive and quick, not sticky and just much cleaner. Do a you tube search for powder coating there are lots of videos about it. I would suggest using the East Wood lt Ford Blue powder. I found out about it in a Elvis Ammo You Tube video.
    Nice Video.

      +Barn Dweller I have. I didn't like it. I shoot 100 rds paper every week, and 300 once a month in steel competition. I had no problem with the 100, but shooting 300 powder coated I got a lot of streaks in the barrel that were as hard or harder to clean out then leading. Never had this with the LLA. Which I've used for years with no problems. Now I use an RCBS Sizer Lubricatior and have no problem that way either. And still use my tumble lube bullets. For me i like the lube myself. Thanks for the input though, and I have watched several of Elvis's videos, and hundreds of Fortune Cookie 45s. Thank You.

    • @flier556
      @flier556  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Couple times a year. It's fine long as you keep it tight to your shoulder. Strong buffer spring. It needs to be tight to the shoulder to cycle reliability.

    hello I was just wondering where you got your mags that works well with your asr? as well your adapter for your strap?

    • @johnhall4638
      @johnhall4638 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Midway, glock 19 mags are the correct ones. Don't use 17 mags bc the follower is different and it interferes wit the bolt on the last round.

    • @johnhall4638

      The sling attachment is a blackhawk attachment with a small keyring so I can connect my ms3 to it because the rifle dosent offer a sling attachment in front from the factory.

    what type of glock mags dose it use

    • @flier556
      @flier556  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Zorro fox Any of the 9mm mags work fine because that's what my ASR is chambered in. I currently use Glock 19 and 17 Mags in it. It came with a 15 round 19 mag. If you live in a free state you could even use the 33 round Glock mag.

    749.00 I like the concept but have seen other people having ejection proplems nope not going to spend that kind of money on any thing that chokes on what ever kind of food I feed it

  • @michaellee8506

    So... complaining about a scope not holding great group size at 25 yards...?
    Is it a PELLET GUN scope? Because if itvisn't, the parallax is almost certainly set for 100 yards. No one (who understands scopes) expects that kind of scope to shoot well at 25 yards. Shoot the scope at 75 yards and over, and I predict you will do much better.

    some are reporting ejection problems. what was the $200 gun you got? thanks

    • @flier556
      @flier556  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jack Gold Yes, your absolutely right. I have been having the ejection issues myself and am currently working on a fix for that. The $200 gun was a single-shot Chiappa 22 rifle that breaks in half similar to a double barrel but it's just a One-Shot 22 and it's pretty cool cuz it has a quad rail and it's just a very simple gun. Show symbol that's what makes it so cool. I have a video on it if you want to check that out.
