TLDR if you are having issues in retail WoW seeing the Big Alerts (thick orange cast bars for impt interrupts after updating Plater on 5 Dec), here's the definitive 2 step fix.
1/ Make sure you RE-IMPORT the latest Plater profile from my website.
2/ Re-import ONLY the Big Alert Script, after Step 1 above | Essentially, go to "Scripting" tab, click on the tiny icon "Import Script" which is located to the left of a "?" icon you will see to the left of the panel | Open the Big Alert script string here - www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/7hnf1axb61n7wi0shf251/Quazii-BIG-Alert-Script-for-Plater-S3.txt?rlkey=o83owifg3f1xdyjnqb6hscfcf&dl=0 | Copy and Paste into plater to import

One thing I found personally helpful is to just disable as much extra information at first as u can when u first set this up, and make sure you're familiar with how the new plates look first and then add in the helpful information like colours
Great guide (as always). One suggestion, given the number of fights that require healers to target and heal NPCs (Fyrakk, Larodar, Chromie, M+ afflicted) it would be awesome to have a bit more guidance on friendly NPC setup for healers. Maybe a short video to the side? ;-)

whoa whoa stop! At @1:02:00 is a GAME CHANGER!! When changing NPC colors, I always struggle to write the name down and then remind myself later to go into Plater, find the mob, and change the color. I +NEVER KNEW+ you could just open Plater, and now a drop-down menu appears for the mobs?!! That's HUGE!!! I can't wait to try this, as some of the mobs in S3 M+ are not in Plater. My Plater is current, but there are still 2-4 mobs that are important, but their names aren't in Plater, I can't change the color-- but I bet this will work!!! HUGE tip!!! Thank you!!!!

Excellent video! I have a question: Can the color of the personal casting bar be changed?
Thanks so much, this helped a ton. The only question I have is, is there a way to "force" certain debuffs to be displayed first in order from left to right regardless of time remaining? For instance, with assassination rogue, is there a way to always show garrote and rupture first, instead of having all the icons jump around when kingsbane or deathmark or shiv or other important debuffs reach a lower timer than them? Considering you refresh garrote and rupture between 4-6 seconds, any debuffs that you let fall off or get lower than 4 seconds just bump them around.

My question is with player all the names look the same except my personal name it still has the stock blizzard style and not the player style. Is there a way to change it to match the others with plater?

Hey great video gz I wanted to ask if there’s a way to track 1 of your spells CD let’s say hammer of justice just above or next to the enemy’s health bar which is above his head Just like it tracks your rebuffs on them, thx a lot
love your videos! not sure if you'll see this or maybe someone else can explain. is there a way to have all the custom colors mobs (casters/frontals) be the default red or the "not engaged" color when not engaged and then turn to their custom colors when engaged? now all casters are always fuchsia if engaged or not. I changed transparency for out of range targets which helps but a uniform color setting for all not engaged targets would be great. I know this is a very niche request but it would help my dps ranged (hunter!) friends with avoiding ninja pulls.
I stopped playing WOW a while back (too easy, too grindy etc) but I enjoy watching your videos :)

Love your work man been using your plater for awhile now! One thing tho recently some of the casts that use to be orange or marked must kick have stopped working in some dungeons. Did something change is there an update?
yes plater update recently caused that - theres a simple fix, just reimport the profile again. all set.

Yo Quazii! Is there a way to change the size/visibility of nameplates based on exact mob or mob type? For one of my farms, there are non-elites and I am trying to have them not show up, or be much smaller than the elite mobs.
I have a question about when you're in tight areas or you have your camera facing towards the ground from above. i find the nameplates start overlapping more and it can become hard to see the mobs sometimes. I have tried spacing them out more and adjusting some stuff in advancedinterfaceoption but nothing really changes. i might of missed it in this video but is there any plater settings to help with that?

I would just like to know can we change a color of a nameplate of the mob that has certain dot on it? For example as a warlock i need to apply doom brand on different targets... when there are many mobs it's hard to see which mob has it and which doesn't... it would be helpful to change the color of a plate that is affected by a spell and to return to its base color when doom brand expires... is it possible?

Does plater has a way to spread the stacked name plate horizontally a little bit to make it spread that way instead of only vertically?
At 2:55 talking about the nameplates, it's how i have it aswell, but isn't it possible to adjust the position of the markers(skull in this scenario) inside of dungeons? 🤔

Does Plater have a large Impact on FPS/Performance? I have a modest system with only a handful of addons but I know WoW in itself isnt optimized very well in terms of distributing resources. I have since moved from KUI > TP > Plater and would like to keep the addon as lightweight as possible if it can drop frames in large M+ pulls.

Hey man, does your 'classic' plater profile works on WotLK Classic?
i watched entire video, tuned up a lot of things, but i have problem with buffs tab. no mater where i put it, top or bottom. for some reason, on enemies, the buff sits exactly on top of health bar (set for top) but on friendly, it sits like an inch above. same preset/offset. i need it to be static for both, not change off set based on friendly/enemy target. how the hell do i do that?

hi, I love the class color function of friendly nameplates but all my guild mate nameplates are green. is that a plater nameplate function? can I turn it off to show the class color?

Hey quazii love your work! I might have missed it in the video, but if I wanted to put a flashing border around my dots that have 4 seconds remaining, how would I do that? There are other plater profiles that do this, but I want to keep using yours!

How are you able to click on the interface options in general tab. Mine wont let me and it says CVar saved within plater profile and restored when loading the profile. What does this mean?

I want to SEE the health bars of PEOPLE IN MY GROUP but ONLY WHEN THEY ARE MISSING HEALTH. As a healer, this helps me know where to drop aoe heals. Plater does NOT seem to do this. It has options that would make you THINK it does this, but they DO NOT WORK. Friendly health bars are either always on no matter the health status, which is a fluster cluck, or they are always OFF which is useless.
hey, i'm playing classic, and i cant figure out how to show enemies shields with a timer, like mana shield, priest shield, pala bubble etc... i've been trying really hard, but i cant figure out how to show them with the timer.

How come when I try to use this profile in pvp even with buff tracking set to manual all i see is a crap ton of overlapping buffs and debuffs all over the top of the nameplates for enemy players?

How can it show just my de-buffs on enemy nameplate . Keep seeing same class dots on my target but just want to see my own.
A bunch of my plater setting are greyed out and I cant click on them even if i make a new profile. All of my interface options stacking nameplates and sliders have a lock on them how do i fix this?
