Man I remember looking for one of these before I settled on the King Bee (thanks to you). No regrets but this is a really good mic for the price too.

The issue with the p220 is that both the p120 and the p420 sound way better. For some reason the P220 has almost no low end in comparison and it sounds thin overall due to it. I think their decision to lower the sensitivity so drastically ruined the model. The p120, of course, it's flaw is it's noise level. The P420 seems to be where they finally got it right and nailed it, albeit at the cost of it's affordability. Overall really frustrating situation. I'm hoping for a good P420 sale since I do love the tone of these mics.

Simply the sound akg is nice smooth and crispy ...
P220 with no processing and no roll off and it sounds amazing the low end is absolutely amazing and the top end is well within what it should sound like!! It is better than the P100 if you think I'm wrong then use these two in a full recording mix with strong vocals female and male, the P220 blows the P100 out of the water using Pro Tools and Reaper through a Focusrite 2i2 4th gen. The problem with these reviews is there done (backwards) the reviewer should have to listen to two different mic examples' side by side (not knowing what either mic is) and then give their opinion on the better mic. I've done these types of test a lot and most the time they can't even tell me the difference that's how close most of these mics are to each other!!
Anyone actually have any music made with this mic or any mic on this channel ? When you make music the best microphone is the one that is close and plugged in. :) That being said this is a cool channel to hear the quality of all these mics.

hey bark, sup bro. I just had to listen this review a couple times, to be sure of what I heard coming from the AKG. I was correct the first time. there is hiss in the audio. whats the equivalent noise level?

Just got a used AKG Perception 100. The mount wont screw in properly.
Tried clockwise and counter, just wont hold.
What could i be doing wrong?
Sadly sometimes the threading is just simply messed up. I've encountered that a LOT. These big clamps work well

You got my wheels turning. C3000 or p100🤷🏼♂️ I notice my 3000 has some of that grain in the top. The 100 sounds great upper freq response. Can always throw some big ass bottom end on it maybe. That’s what she said
