Funniest thing is I can get a used Pajero for only 5lakhs. Pajero offers a super select 4x4 system where I can make selections between 2WD, AWD and 4x4. While thar just offers a part time 4x4 system. A 1st gen Thar still has an after market value of 10 lakhs. Add difflocks for 2 lakhs to a pajero and a chip tune for 25k, it would perform like a tank. Also the pajero has a better wheel articulation. The pajero is just mechanically much better.
That is an Old Pajero and old Pajero gets the raw power and torque. But in Off-roading only Force Gurkha can give competition to Pajero because it also has the raw off-road things that Pajero offers.

The Pajero is indeed a good reliable SUV (after all Japanese SUVs are known for it) but you know what, the Pajero has only 118 bhp and 275 nm of torque ,even a second generation scorpio makes higher output ,i.e 120bhp and 290nm torque! Plus gearing of the Pajero is shorter than the second gen Scorpio ! Lastly the Pajero has only 28:1 crawl ratio compared to Scorpio's 42:1 crawl ratio ! If a Scorpio has better specs ,then obviously the thar is much more better in offroad capability ! Also this Pajero is an outdated 1995 model which was still sold in India until 2012! People like you are just too stupid!
