You’re actually talking about a guy in his mid-30s and slavery only ended about 154 years ago. You do the math his grandmother very well could have been a slave as a child at the very end of it.
More Joyner. I'm Sorry, Frozen or Just Like You are some of his most powerful songs. New ones from Joyner to check out are Devils Work and Broke & Stupid. Dude always has a msg in his songs
It’s true that someone that young’s grandmother wouldn’t have been a slave, but there are people alive today in America whose grandparents were alive during slavery. It just highlights the absurdity of the argument that it was a long time ago and that black people need to get over it.
Well it is about time TCB let’s get it Joyner Lucas I’m not racist Joyner Lucas devils work is amazing as well as Joyner Lucas and Eminem lucky you welcome back about damn time I’m driving from Missouri to Nashville to North Carolina and back again so you will be my entertainment LOL
You gotta do more Joyner. I'm Sorry, Ross Cappuccino, Devil's Work, Frozen, Lucky You w/ Eminem, Happy Birthday etc...He is so talented. His serious videos usually have different sides to look at it from. I really hope you do more of his music. He is absolutely an amazing storyteller.
Hi TCB, long time fan. Fun fact: Joyner Lucas's mother is white and his father is black, which is why he used racial slurs for both the black and white men. This song was released in late 2017, as he felt there was a racial divide and he wanted to address it by creating a song that would spark a conversation.
WOW--- Im sure it did.... If I was a politician I would have it shown in schools to discuss and build a solution and squash this black white thing … BUT NOOO The RACE BEEF PIMPS AND THE MEDIA DONT WANT THAT …. IF WE COME TOGEATHER AS JUST AMERICANS … THEY LOOSE POWER AND THEY CANT HAVE THAT
@@texascountryboy4285 Neither of them is Joyner, they are both friends of Joyner and that white guy took a LOT of heat for doing the video. The song was written and released when tensions were very high with N Korea because of their ballistic missile tests over the previous year so Joyner may have been fearful.
I love your videos but just to clarify him saying his grandmama was a slave could absolutely be true. In the Deep South especially in Mississippi & Alabama black people were still basically slaves via sharecropping well into the late 60s & early 70s. My dad grew up on a plantation & was born to 2 sharecroppers. Him & his parents were beaten & whipped when the harvest wasn’t what the land owner expected. Their house was burned down by the Klan for my dad attending college
I'm sorry for that I really am, and it makes me sad sometimes that people associated to me by skin color could do that. But we don't all feel like that and I want to hang out with everyone, I'm so tired of these divides so we got to sit down and talk. Figure out how to respect and love each other, listen to what each other is saying so we can make life better for everyone. Unless you bleed some different color to me, then we all brothers and sisters. No freedom until we all equal, dam right I support it.
Shadows Within unfortunately judging all white people by the sins of the their ancestors or committing racist micro aggressions they aren’t even aware of racist Is all to common amongst my people. I’m not one of those people I prefer healthy educational dialogues where both parties are open & willing to listen/learn. Coming from the lineage air come from with my fathers experience & my maternal grandfather being a Tulsa race riot survivor who both chose love & education first made me different. The biggest apology you can make on behalf of your people is to continue to be this open & be an ally for us in your community. Help spread the message that post traumatic slave syndrome is real & racism is still prevalent. But most of all just continue to be a great human❤️
If 90% of the white people you know don't know who tupac is IIT might because your from Texas. Cuz I'm from California, know plenty of white folks, and my jaw dropped when you said you'd never heard of him. Lol loved the reaction.
Big D in the house, lol! Sup from FW! Also, my Great Auntie was a slave. My dad talked to her a bunch when he was little n she was around 90. I’m not that old for reference (30s). A bunch of us have slave relatives from not that far back. I’m a bit unusual because I come from a line of “late in life” sons, but really not that far removed from the history
“His grandma wasn’t a slave that’s bullshit.” Uhhh idt some people realize that slavery wasn’t as long ago as you may think. Big chance his great grandma was a slave brother.
When he said his grandma was a slave it could be true. grandma can refer to all of your grandparents that are female. for example your great great grandmother.
Ya DETROIT needs some damn help. I been watching videos from "Chosen Won" holy shit! But where I live in Northern NH there is alot that needs to be bought and fixed up and its the safest place in America probably....a hidden gem. Imma let you know
His grandma was no slave but his ancestors were and that is what he is saying you took him to literal for all black people have had family ancestors that were slaves you can bet on THAT!!!!
Joyner Lucas is mixed, the two people you seen were actors. And I always say let me cuss around whites they fear for their lives but let them cuss and their just expressing their feelings.
Coming from a white person, I care not about cursing. I have the mouth of a sailor but impeccable manners when necessary. I certainly don't fear for my life if anyone is cursing around me.
@@meganlynn83 I feel that but it's crazy how so many do but if a person wasn't from an environment like that I could see how a person can become offended by it.
@@taroreads This is true! Environment and Upbringing are very legitimate factors. I will say that I am sorry that you feel this way and wanted you to know that not all people are like that. You have an ally in me.
@@meganlynn83 I don't feel this way I've experienced a boss I worked for two years ago told me I was too mad I didn't cuss at him but I did express how I felt and he thought it was too much just cause I was hyped about the situation. Plus I don't believe its this way with all white folks I did have white friends in the hood and they act and talk like me we knew when to be professional and when to let our hoodness out.
Those 2 guys are actors. Joyner Lucas provided the voices for both
