this album was the last album pantera put out, after this phil started or joined a band called down, says pantera was dead and such, so vinnie and dime started a new band called damage plan, a while after that phil tried to get pantera back together and said he didnt even remember the the whole time frame where he said pantera was dead. now days phil with pantera again tho without dime and vinnie as a reunion/tribute what ever he's calling it

Took my son to see them in September...they killed it. The whole show was great and included a tribute to Vinnie and Dimebag.
It should also be noted that Phil was in Down long before the band broke apart.
@@snakebite6x6x6 ya i could have worded it better, it was phil paying all his attention to down that caused the band to fall apart when he didn't return to pantera after the agreed apon time to tour with down or something a long those lines
Phil was in Down and Superjoint during Pantera, my guy. Nola was released in 1995. Superjoint formed in 1993 and their debut came out in May 2002. Pantera officially broke up in November 2003. Dimebag died a year later. Phil didn't kick the dope until the year after that, to get his back fixed. The thing that caused a break was 9/11. It canceled the European leg of this tour. Everyone agreed that was not the time to be on the road. Everyone was getting along well at that point. They agreed to take a break. Vin and Dime helped Phil to do his side projects and encouraged him. They wanted him to get well. Things went sideways when communication broke down and they started sniping at each other in the press. And, then of course, Dime died, so there goes any hope of reconciliation. They spent a lot of years being friends, and 1 year where they didn't. It just happened that the story ended on a sour note. If Dime hadn't been murdered, we might be talking about the great reunion story. People tend to focus on the end rather than the beautiful things they gave us. I saw Phil and Rex in September and I had a great time with an amphitheater full of people who felt the same. It was awesome to hear all those people singing those songs and to see Dime and Vin on the screens and Zakk and Charlie and Phil and Rex up there together, remembering them.
@@MsCruisein This...1000%. I took my son to see them in September in Bangor Maine...it was his first concert. It was especially awesome as Pantera was my first concert back in the 90's...I couldn't talk for 4 days afterwards....my voice was completely gone.
A lot of people blamed Phil for Dimebags death....but it was the act of a mentally unstable psycho. Everybody wants someone to blame when a tragedy occurs...but the often times point the finger in the wrong direction...
