It's an Alternate Reality Game (ARG), not a "Video-Game." It's kind of like Old Root, the Backrooms, Ben Drowned, Gilbert Garfield, Petscop, and Omega Mart; they're Interactive Stories, exercises in Worldbuilding and Puzzle-Solving that Involve anything from Obscure References, Real-World Landmarks, Hidden Messages, Clues Hidden in the Image, Unlisted Videos and so on (Basically, what Scott did to Make FNaF explode from just one Game he was originally planning to be his Last, to the Smash Hit Franchise it is now).

Meaning that, unlike most videogames that are set in stone once they've been published and sold on the market, barring maybe an update to fix bugs or online Downloadable Content to "add" to it, ARGs are very interactive with their players, much like Tabletop RPGs or Storytelling Games where one person tells a paragraph before passing it off to another teller, or even just games of Make-Believe. ARGs are more fluid and organic (well, the good ones are at any rate).
