Can you do a cut valley with out valley pan like you can with architecturals or do u need the valley pan?

you need a metal valley. its the best option dont try to not use it. if you do a shingle valley it will crack over time. metal lasts forever

@@chaser4251 after researching for myself I found that specs say you can cut the valley just like architecturals, metal is preference, I don’t like metal because it leaves a void under it that you will never be able to get to should anything fail
