AnyTone ARES II Variable Power Test For One Of My Viewers

As requested here is a short variable power test for one of my viewers.
FM 1-45 on the transceiver is basically the same in watts.
For some reason on AM and SSB this doesn’t apply but as you see power is variable without any stepping.

Thanks for doing this. I understand now. There is an indication on the display. I didn't realise it had that. Some of the sellers were saying it was 4/10/25w stepped output.

No problem at all,TBH i was curious myself.Just had a quick look at your channel and that is some talent you have there.Around three years ago the mrs bought me a trumpet for Christmas,literally tried it a few times and put it back in the case..maybe you should pop some beginners lessons on your channel.😁

I have the Aris and a very nice kicker but now i can turn it down to 4 w and Am try it with a whistle some time Am can put to many watts and on ssb same a gain but it was bought for a 3900 as its not a big watt so just to give it a little hit mid band but can get some uk 40. But Aris does uk 40 and the magnun 257 its a big watt but do not need the kicker for that

These radios have their good and bad points,personally if you plan on using power the 3900 is spot on but if you’re using a radio off its own back the Ares 2 is spot on.

I actually like them both but i have really been enjoying the 3900 over the last couple of weeks or maybe it is just because it is something fresh.I haven’t even found the need to wideband it due to the brilliant activity on Midband and probably won’t bother.I call it my new muppet box.😂

I talk to a lad most evenings who is running the latest 3900 which is basically the same as the Ares and the audio on these new breed of radios have an incredible punch even on the stock microphone.
