Your "We" describes dumb people unable to think for themselves critically. Im happy not to belong to your group of nonsense-video-viewers that waste time and space by doing obsolete commentary on obsolete videos.
Next time just comment something like: "I really wonder how so many people fall for charlatans like the person that made the video!"
You would probably get substantial less likes for speaking that truth, lol.

Speaking from Brazil. I was very ugly, VERY UGLY, people said I looked like a rat. Not only that, but I had sinus attacks, had to blow my nose all the time and always looked like I had the flu, until I started mewing. Today, 3 years later, I don't even look the same, I get sincere compliments all the time, and since I started mewing, I've never had any more problems with my nose. I haven't become a supermodel, but now I don't look like a rat like people used to say. That's just with the mewing, because I'm going to start exercising my jaw now.
So you can see that this isn't just a question of aesthetics, I was already preparing to have surgery for a deviated septum, as I couldn't breathe properly, and today that's no longer necessary, as after the mewing I've never had any more problems breathing
Edit: I am 20 years old. For some reason I can't reply to anyone in the comments, the comment just disappears. To mewing, say "king" and keep your tongue where it was when pronouncing the K.

As someone who got double jaw surgery and lives with deep regret of it everyday due to the health problems it caused me, I cried readings y’all’s comments seeing this worked. The pain I went through for years not only to prepare for that surgery but also afterwards… and to know I could have just done it from home? And I would have recognized myself, instead of feeling like I’m looking at a stranger in the mirror… all I can say is to those of you finding this video early on, you are extremely blessed. Over the past 8 years I’ve seen my breathing improve, allergy problems reduce by 90%, I no longer snore, my face and jaw changed completely, and although I did end up getting braces (with premolar extractions unfortunately) I’m certain the time I spent developing proper posture improved the trajectory of my orthodontic work by preventing recession of my mid face. Seeing the popularity of Mewing grow in recent years brings me joy as Dr.Mew and his Father’s work has truly changed my life and is finally being recognized by the masses, despite all of the ostracization you both have experienced among your peers. Thank you Dr.Mike and Dr. John Mew

I'm 25 years old. I came across Dr. Mike's mewing video in 2018 and it clicked with me. I started mewing shortly after and have been so ever since. although in 2021 I was particularly consistent with mewing and chewing gum daily for 4-6 hours. My facial structure changed dramatically even though I always got compliments for how straight my teeth were even though I never had any sort of orthodontics done. recently met with a high school friend that I had not seen for almost 5 years and he accused me of having a Texas jawline surgery done; of course I took it as a compliment, most likely the best compliment I've ever had. All in all, Dr. Mike is onto something very true and we all should benefit from it. Never stop mewing.

Never seen you been SOOO straight foward on orthodontics, i'm 20 years and a dental technician, i studied orthodontics my self in school and always found this types of treatments less problem solving then what they appear to be, i would say it helps in the aspect of stopping people from bad occlusion, but orthodontics comes down with problems like tooth loss in some bad cases because of the stress applied on the roots, it comes down with costs sometimes absurdly high, and with efforts that aren't worth the deed once you know about MEWING, a NATURAL technique that wasn't extremely known but existed since thousands of years ago, something we evolved with, and it doesnt cost nothing, doesnt applies stress to your roots because the maxillas bones are the ones moving. Mewing is just better and i'm glad to you and your family mike for your work of truth and honesty and showing which his the healthy and right way.

@@numberonedad hello, Im a dentist :) and face paralisis is caused by the facial nerve, which goes inside the buccinator muscle, which nothing has to do with mewing. Most of people that has bruxism could mew without knowing, and there is no correlation between bruxism and problems on the facial nerve, neither between mewing and paralisis.
It could be probable that he has another illness, maybe something on the nerve itself or maybe some kind of tumor affecting the neurons in the path to move the muscles of the face. But putring your tongue on palate? It wont make you anything to your face nerve, its impossible (unless your dad has some kind of really weird anatomy malformation).

But a sound like crack or sand against sand? Isnt a good sign, go and get a diagnosis! Yes, it might have something to do with bruxism, and it wont be solved just by yourself, you might need a device made my a dentist to avoid that pressure. There are some positions of the muscles that those devices can guarantee where those muscles cant and wont be making a big amount of pressure.
Spanish is my native language, btw, so dont expect a lack of mistakes in my grammar.
First, try sleeping without any pillow in case you are, so you dont press your jaw between your neck and head. Dont sleep putting any pressure over your joint or jaw, dont sleep over any side of your face and never face down. If its hard, try with a pillow behind the knees, if you feel any weirdness in the posture on them. Hopefully you dont need that, but that will make harded also for you to sleep in any of both sides, because it will be harder with the knees like that. So, its a real pleasure to get to hear about it from you!!! Due to my chronic asthma, I have been a mouth breather for most of my life. And as a result, every "before" picture and example you have, is me! In the short amount time of putting mewing into practice, I can already see the reshaping of my jaw line. I am approximately 30lbs overweight, yet my face is starting to look slimmer and more defined. I have less sag under my chin, and my nose actually seems to be reshaping (that's crazy!!!). I purchased mouthtape to help me keep my mouth closed at night while I sleep- (It works). Mewing is a REAL thing that yields REAL benefits and results! I thought it was too late for me. I didn't think it would work for me, but it does and it is!!! Thank you Dr. Mew! Im incredibly excited to be on this journey.

I now have the common downward, shallow jaw, recessed upper jaw, etc. I'd love to get more projection. I find it very difficult to get a good suction on the tongue - and especially hard to use the back 1/3 like Dr. Mew said to use... I'll soon be 28 and want to do this deapite that I really like how I look but I do feel like my teeth are ever so slightly crowded, I have enough space but it seems barely, and I feel like this might improve my singing technique so I'm excited for that. Also the idea to straightened my nose and overall improve my health is very appealing. I have forward neck posture (maybe slight kyphosis but not sure) and a slight scoliosis and I feel like mewing will probably help these issues at least indirectly. I'm very excited. I was also never a sporty person but I'm convinced in the gealth benefits of exercise and want to build a routine of consistent at least mid-intensity cardio and strength exercise so I bet all the hormonal benefits of that will be benefitial to the mewing too.

I’m 39, 2 years ago I realised my chin was receding, it made no sense to me as I regularly exercise and stay in shape. After researching the subject I found this community and have been mewing ever since. Mewing 100% works even at my age, although progress has been slow, my face looks sharper and my eyes look more open. That said, it’s not an easy journey, I’ve cut the inside of my cheeks multiple times with all the “sucking” and I’ve been caught so many times pulling really strange faces in public, but it’s all been worth it. I do it like this: first, relax your face, all the overworking muscles especially. Then focus your thought on the Ajna chakra, the place between your eyebrows and feel how the posterior 1/3 of the tongue lifts up. This is the most important thing and the most difficult. Then, if you feel there's still pressure in the masseter muscles on both sides, release the tension. You feel like the sides of the tongue are also completely lifted and the tongue is flat on the roof of the mouth, resting there. To keep this position is easy and pleasant. You feel your face becomes shorter, your tissues, muscles and skin are lifted. Finally you are doing it and it feels pleasant. And it can go on forever. 👍

The section on body posture for me also shows the importance of developing a strong back core posterior chain and neck from a health perspective. You can try to focus on putting your shoulders back, but if your rear delts and traps are weak, the underlying cause hasn't been fixed.
I do lots of very intense sets of rows, I train my neck (especially the rear of the neck, while the front of the neck matters more for beauty, good posture comes from the back of the neck muscles). I do romanian deadlifts to build hamstrings erectors and glutes, and L sits to strengthen abs
All this means I don't even have to think about having good posture, it just comes naturally because the postural muscles are very strong. A strong core also helps massively with "belly breathing" because belly breathing is a natural part of the bracing process with lifting weights and necessary to protect your spine under heavy loads.

Didn't know what this was but I've been doing it for over 10 years at this point. It started just from trying to stand up straighter then it became a question of Can posture be perfect? Usually massive adjustments that affect your face are from neck adjustments, but your lower back significantly changes the way your head is seated on your neck as well. This allows more nose breathing, which requires you to raise your cheek bones(if you're ever doing cardio you'll notice an urge to perk your head up and tilt it foward) if you look in the mirror and align your ear lobes with your cheek bones, keep that orientation and adjust your back posture until that is your resting orientation. It's not easy, there's usually some chiropractic work in the way of doing so, but that's what you gotta do if you want to look better.

The stickers to put on your mouth while sleeping combined with plasters for on your nose that open your nostrils are a must! You only need to use them for 1-3 months daily then you won't need the mouth sticker anymore! The nose plasters are actually nice to have as well because if you have stuffed nose because cold or whatever you can use one and it helps a lot.
Also I saw some sporters use them while performing I guess for more oxygen intake which is a pretty cool fact. Neymar is one example that I googled just quickly.

At 11:40 Mike Mew says that 50% of jaw surgeries relapse. This is not a real statistic, though. It heavily depends on the type of treatment that you get.
    1) How big is your advancement? More advancement leads to greater chance of relapse.
    2) What plates do you use? Titanium plates have a higher chance of relapse than absorbable plates.
    3) Did you get lefort 1 with bone grafting? Using bone grafts heavily reduces the chance of relapse.
There is no way that you can generalize a singular relapse chance in these type of surgeries. There is probably a 95% of relapse if you are pedantic and also measure 0.1 mm differences after 6 months or 1 year. It really depends on the amount of relapse and like I said the type of surgery.
Most bimaxillary surgeries should be safe and relapse should be very unlikely, especially if you plan it correctly and take into account these 3 factors that I mentioned.

I started in 2016 in my late 20s. Both wisdom teeth on my left side had come through a little, but were still struggling for space. Right side were poking through, but had nowhere to go. Dentist said to pull them ALL out, I refused. Same as I refused braces as a teen for my lower front teeth crowding, which now looking back was the best choice I ever made.
I was lucky to have straight top teeth and have always been blessed with being extremely tall and what people would consider 'attractive', so I was never concerned with teeth people never saw anyway.
However, at the time I could barely fit my tongue on the somewhat narrow roof of my mouth, and could hardly get any air through my nose, again only on the left side that seemed to have grown a bit more forward. Sleeping was becoming a major problem, and I was starting to develop a snoring issue. Seemed like everything was getting worse over time, which now makes total sense as my tongue posture had become non-existent at some stage. Not good!
Now here I am 7 years later, tongue automatically lives on the roof of my mouth, even while asleep. I can breathe much more clearly through my nose. All wisdom teeth have found their homes and have fully come through. I still have some minor crowding on my lower front teeth, but again it's never bothered me, and I know with enough time it will probably go away with continued discipline. I still feel my teeth shifting into slightly different positions over the span of months and years as I continue.
I see the quick results younger people have, and there seems to be sentiment among the community that suggests it's impossible to change anything after your mid 20s, but I never let it discourage me. My dentist is still confused, despite my attempts to explain how I got here. The most I get in return is 'well, whatever you're doing is working, so keep doing it'.
With enough time and patience, anyone can get results of some kind. I thankfully didn't require much change and had a decent starting point as far as my face shape and jaw position, but I truly believe anything is possible with dedication and persistence.
Best of luck to everyone out there. This is the path.
