After using for few months, I observe few permanent black spots in the bottom right corner of the projected image. Initially tried to clean the the lens thinking it could be just dust, but its already clean and the spots still remain.

There are multiple surfaces inside that can show particles. There's a lense, mirror, and digital lcd screen, fresnel keystone lense, not to mention the focusing lens on the front...possibly debris on one of those. If you are comfortable with opening it up it might be worth the trouble to check it out in dept.

Do you have the IR profile code of the projector to enable control from firetv remote? How did you set it up?

I also bought G1 for my son to use, want infrared code? This may require asking the seller; they certainly know.
