I decided to make this video because I haven't seen many videos about bringing Shinjiro to the Margaret fight, and it was honestly a pretty fun challenge to do. Why? Well, Shinjiro is around in the party at a time where no characters have their upgraded Personas, thus making it extra hard on the party members. Because of this, I decided my other two members should be Aigis and Koromaru. Aigis because she's used more as a buff bot (ha) than anything, and Koromaru because he's the only character at this time with tier 3 magic. Despite this, I still came out on top and had a bunch of fun with it. (And no, I'm not doing this on hard or very hard because I'm not good at this game.)
MC: Khakkhara, Armor of Light, Shoes of Light, Sigma Drive
Persona, Messiah. Repel Dark, Mind Charge, Absorb Pierce, Enduring Soul, Magic Skill Up, Rakunda, Morning Star, Salvation. Max stats. Also random Skadi for Tetrakarn.

It always amused me that the first time you get Shinji his skills are garbage but if you stuck around with him and got him to unintended levels on ng+ his final skill set is a beast
It's true though! Though early game he at least has utility in a good statline and having no weaknesses.
I hate how he's essentially useless in what is basically his last boss fight (The sleeping table), why? Why would they do that????
@@kellyjohana516 maybe to try to subtly nudge you towards giving the exp from that fight to someone else
It'd be nice if Persona 3 Reload when it comes out has a way to save Shinjiro by maxing his social link or completing some optional quest before a certain in-game date (a non DLC solution) but I won't get my hopes up by holding my breath; just fantasizing about what could be but probably never will.
@UnionSinger2005 I mean technically you can save him in the Female route for P3P
The seen effects are very little however, but he does survive, and can be part of your ending
Margaret is so hard, but honestly way more fun than Liz or Theo. Shinjiro is such a badass, it's a shame you have to lose access to him.
It's only because Liz and Theo required you to only use the MC that I didn't bother doing it, not to mention needing to go through all ten of those floors when you eventually messed up.
If You Max Out Shinji's Social Link You Give Him Back His Pocket Watch When He Is About To Die The Pocket Watch Saves Him And He Gets Into A Coma Instead

If you thinks she's hard here, try beating her in the FES version of the game. You had to fight her solo and she still gets her 2 attack turns. And if you showed up with anything higher than a resist affinity on any persona, she nuked the hell out of you for an instant loss.

I almost forgot you were playing on normal mode and questioned why you didn't use armageddon in the halfway mark LMAO
I also felt like it was sort of cheating to just cheese the second half with Armageddon. Shinjiro is the star of this fight, not the FEMC. (Even though she did pretty much carry the fight.)

havent played the femc route yet, but.. how did you manage to change shinji's equips? i can hack him into my party, but i dont know how to customize his stuff.
You just have to go into the equipment menu. It might be different if you had to hack him into your party, because I just did this 100% legit.

And Shinji is like: "yeah I did you beat her ass man lolololol"
although she still has swift strike does aigis still have good skills maxed out
My thought process when using Aigis for this was that I didn't stock up on a bunch of stat boosting items, and thus needed some sort of stat boost bot. It's not like many other characters would've been helpful anyways, with not having access to tier three spells or added stats.
Oh hey, I know this video is kinda old but I have a question, If you max Shinji's Social Link, he doesn't die and come back, right? If that is the case, When Shinji comes back exactly? I really want Shinji on my final party because he's got God's Hand AND Power Charge, just like Ryuji and Chie.
He doesn't come back at all. While he may stay alive, he won't join the party again.

The MC's level is carried over, the other party members do not.

@@zackmelon9180 In NG+, a bonus dungeon is unlocked at the beginning of the game that sports some high level enemies. I primarily used those to grind.

I thought she insta kills you if you have a persona with drain/repel on it.
I think it's if you have one that has more than one drain/repel/nul skill on it.
Only Liz and Theo have that rule. Margaret's insta kill only triggers if you have the Omnipotent Orb equipped or use Armageddon.

I have my party at 70-75. Mc at 89. Where would y’all suggest training? I believe the heavens door monsters are like level 93 so probably still too strong for my party
I think that you could still manage to grind there, so long as your MC is good enough.

@@jacobrix113 I mean if you really wanted to grind quickly just go into the difficulty options and turn on more exp and retries in battles so that if you do get one shot you don’t lose any progress from grinding.
How did you get messiah with morning star?
I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I think I fused down Lucifer until I eventually got down to a Slime and Legion with Morning Star, and then fused to Orpheas, and then made Messiah. I don't remember the exact line though.

I did. And while I love Shinjiro to death, I wish maxing his social link didn't change the story in that way. I wish there was just a way to get to level 10 without getting his watch.
