I love this arrangement and these guys. One thing that bothers me with the lead singer of Vocal Spectrum is that his voice doesn't seem to carry very well, the melody isn't clearly audible. I mostly hear bass and 3 other guys, with a tenor sticking out occasionally, but I'd like to be able to pick out the melody line all the way across.
@@toptrump1499 ha! Just teasing! Tim is a fantastic tenor. And Chris Hallam is one of my all-time favorite basses. I just noticed that Eric sounded really good on tenor here
hey now, you don't just accuse guys from Vocal Spectrum and Second Edition of singing flat, especially when i just took it to a keyboard and they definitely were in Bb. The tag: tenor - posts a Bb lead - Db-D Bari - E-F Bass - Gb, Bb
That add-on, the last 'Goodbye Heart' at the end of the tag, absolutely rocks! Gonna teach my quartet that bit, it's takes the song from amazing to F*CKING BRILLIANT.
i know, I do have a score for this, but they are singing it very flat... it's practically in A major. Regardless, do you think the Tag is right that I posted?
play a B flat on your keyboard while they sing that last chord... it isn't in A major I'll accept that, and it did start in B flat, but it's definitely a tad on the flat side! However listening again, I did get the Bass wrong (relative to the key) so thank you for that
I dont actually agree that, I think they intended to sing it half a key higher to make it Bb major. The intervals of the tag its basically right. Just every note they sounded its a semitone higher. So the lead gets to High D!
Really surprised at the decision to go for all their roster changes--they have such a nice sound with this group. Are there any videos out there with their new lineup?
It is written in Bb major. They actually start singing it in Bb, which was my initial mistake. But by the time it gets too the tag, they have lost pitch (i.e. it is flat). It is somewhere between Bb and A, (too flat for Bb but too sharp for A). They aren't singing a semitone higher though like you said..? It starts in Bb and gets gradually flatter.

My God...
Done VERY well!! I loved it, especially the bass!!!!
Eric makes an awesome Tenor
What about Tim?
@@toptrump1499 he’s terrible, clearly
@@NikoPorter thoughts on Chris Hallem as a bass?

@@NikoPorter yeah dw I got it, Tim reminds me of a massive teddy bear for some reason. What would your dream quarter make up be?

The tag:
tenor - posts a Bb
lead - Db-D
Bari - E-F
Bass - Gb, Bb
wrong. none of these guys have ever touched a women other than their mother.
Overtone.

Anyone know which other quartets this bass has sung in? I like him. :)
He's actually Doug Harrington's son but I'm not sure what his name is.
Yep, Tim Waurick the tenor, and Eric Dalbey the lead.
Third guy looks like Woody from Toy Story
Cant help but hearing Old Macdonald Deformed Farm
The words really sound as if they were written in 1899. (Of course they weren't.)
Who cares if they went flat?! The main thing is they stayed in tune with each other!!!
1:12 ティムさん忘れてたやろw
Regardless of key, in your transcription of the tag (if we're in A), the first bass note is an F natural, not an F sharp =) The rest is right

Why is it half of vocal spectrum? Where are the other guys?

Im pretty sure the two on the left are from vocal spectrum, right?
Correct 👌
Harmonies so locked in on the tag. Incredible!
I think the lead needs to be a bit louder... but it was good otherwise
Generally speaking, Boomer songs don't give me goose bumps. . .
I think the bass is overpowering the lead a little, but that's hard to avoid with a microphone setup.
Thank you tenor going up at the end
But it was a little scratchy
But definitely my favourite arrangement
I didn’t know Jim Carrey could sing
I think this is right for the tag... (if it is written in A major)
tenor - stays on A
lead - C to C#
Baritone - D# to E
Bass - F# to A
@pebbles54ful Are you asking if he is gorgeous?
@forceknt31 not only nailed the ending, added an amazing chord!!!
This rocks, but trudbol has a wonderful virtual collaboration of the same song with a completely different feel. . . and I prefer it.
ABOSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! And this comes from a woman barbershopper.
as a member of the barbershop internationals sociatites rock valley chapter in janesville wis good job this rocks
They're somewhere between Bb and A? Who the hell cares
Is that the baritone from Acoustix?
@pebbles54ful description
it's not written in Amajor, but Bb
Gewoon leuk om te horen, zo deel je op fb en zo op Google
Is this kind of music doo-wop.

That ending sent chills down my spine. Great work!
