I was a soldier, I had shrapnel wounds on the back of my arms and wire cuts on my hands as a souvenir from the razor wires I knitted at the border. I have a knife scar on my shoulder and all the memories of conflicts. These did not make me more masculine but I got problems with sleeping and a little bit ptsd sometimes. War is not good, you do not care about dêaťh after a while but you think about your family
masculine is not the thrill to bomb,kill with a billion dollar jet but it's the will, sacrifice,pain and hardwork that you are ready to put to protect your nation and the ability to care, it's not the urge to beat and dominate someone in the ring but the idea of self improvement and training which gives you the ability to do that..... masculinity is the willpower, mental and physical stamina to keep going.........just a stoic thought

As a man in his 30s, who has experienced some of the scenes in this video, I would just like to point out (to my peers, and those younger than me) that the message in the Japanese anime, Vinland Saga teaches a profound definition of masculinity. I do not believe that violence as a retaliation is ever the correct answer, but I certainly believe that it is better to be a trained warrior in a garden, then a gardener in a war.
