Really liked this type of content where your showing these boards true balls!..I just took a chance and ordered a Black Carve direct drive and now waiting on its arrival ... wish there was more reviews other then the owners own reviews on the board.. Ur doing a great job bro keep it up,!
Hi Matthew thanks heaps for the comment yea I love making this stuff so much fun. The black Carve will have great power plus a carbon deck right ? Will be really nice at high speed !! Cheers Scott
RS Seeker G3 EDIT: I was very surprised at the results but this confirms my predictions with the RS and I’m very happy that I’m an owner of the RS. Also subscribed to your channel and looking fwd to your future content. Cheers!
As always, awesome video! Yep totally unexpected results. Since I'm waiting for my Verreal RS, I was hoping that it would do fine, but those hub motors are really impressive.
SCOTT DAVIES ESK8 & TECH REVIEWS Seeker, , RS then G3. If the Seeker does not come first then you have not used the capability and programming of the VESC6 properly 🤣
SCOTT DAVIES ESK8 & TECH REVIEWS in 2020 we now have boards that come with options not seen before like 30Q’s, 12S batteries and VESC6 that can be programmed . There is an opportunity for a manufacturer to put these 3 together on a cost effective belt drive with the flexibility in design so buyer can just add more powerful motors like a 6374’s for a few hundred and you have a 60kmph plus board for less than an Evolve
Great review! Can you do a hill climb test on that same steep hill with the backfire g2 vs g2s vs g2t to show the evolution of hub motor capabilities from the previous generation, please?
Told ya, RS rules :) But maybe when the Blackhawk arrives with smaller wheels, then we definitely see different scenario. Thanks for the video Scotty and Have a great weekend mate!
I'm in Toronto. Asked Vic to ship out to Buffalo across the border and I'll go pick it in person. You can get 170 USD off currently if shipping to the US
@@ronchakola1805 I thought the US border was closed now. I have so many things ordered from China stuck in customs or Canada Post for months. I don't know what's going on.
Hey Scott, you know what's going on with Vic/Verreal? I wrote with several people getting wrong promises of delivery times. I got send a pic of the wrong board(wrong wheel colour) last week Saturday, said the remote was faulty, new ones arrive next day, also they did changes to the deck, and the board will be shipped out immediately. now 8 days passed and nothing happen. Tbh i don't like dishonest things like that.
Wow I know he had the remote issue and was sorted. Not across any other issues that would cause a delay. Let me reach out to him and get an update. Are you a member of the Verreal owners group on FB ? I might ask him to write a post giving a clear update ?
@@scottdaviesyoutube that would be nice. no, but I will join the group now. a clear statement would be good, many people that ordered weeks ago are waiting. thanks for your efforts, if you know something new keep me/us updated please 🙏🏻
100% if I hear anything I’ll let you know. I was out in mine yesterday and let a dew people try it (experienced riders) and they were all blowed away !! It’s worth the wait but I totally get your frustration I would and have felt the same. Talk soon mate Scott
@@scottdaviesyoutube the official update from Vic is in the group, thanks again to you. Can't wait for the great board🔥 will look so good with the 110mm arctic blue torque wheels
Hi Scott. Would you be so kind as to tell me your weight while doing these tests? It's only because I'm rather heavy (230 pounds) and am looking at buying one of these boards. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
Haha! I'm super stoked the RS was at the top of the heap! Fantastic content as usual, hands down my favorite eskate TH-camr! Still waiting to order my RS, prices keep fluctuating on this board like crazy, it's driving me nuts! $80usd shipping to Canada 😔🤯
HI mate Thanks for the kind words. Yea the Verreal RS is king of the hill. This hill is quite deceiving the first half pulls all the torque out, then that last 70m really tries to stop you. The RS handled it like a champ. All I can say is jump on the RS as soon as you can i cant imagine the price will stay low for much longer this is a intro price. The shipping is a little annoying but because of the current climate its a "must have" Cheers and let me know once you've ordered Scott
Hi mate mine is the standard 10ah. Even with the little battery I still get an amazing range. Check out the range video here: th-cam.com/video/6N9-QwsJH_c/w-d-xo.html
Hmmmmm Hub and hill climb don’t usually go together. The Tynee Ultra Hub, would fit your request, the 20ml Range will be tough maybe 15 depending on your weight
@@scottdaviesyoutube wow, tynee offers great value, thanks! I like light boards, that’s why I love my G2, coming in at 14 lbs & 12 miles range with my SONY VTC6 battery pack. But I fear it overheating on continuous steep hills, with such a small battery pack & small motors. If I had to go bigger, the Zeus pro looks enticing, for consistently hilly terrain, but I’d love a zero maintenance version, with hub motors, puncture resistant tires & p42a’s. Got any ideas? Thanks, Scott!! ;)
I just called the owner, he said he can make one for you. If you order the Ultra use or code SCOTTD then send me your order number he will make yours a hub model !!
@@scottdaviesyoutube Great! Can I have it sent with Cloudwheel rovers? The ESC & Hub motors won’t burn out on consistent steep hills? It can handle going up a grassy ski lift slope in the summer, no problem? Just making sure I’m getting the right board, or I might have to consider a more powerful board. I need it for Rockland county, which has steep & continuously mountainous terrain. Thanks!
I have a Backfire G3 so my thoughts are a bit biased 😅 but anyway I think it should not be underestimated. Here is a review in which you see it's pretty good at hill climbing (8:34) : th-cam.com/video/soxQiUYGNhw/w-d-xo.html It does better than Exway X1 Pro Riot, Boosted Stealth, Meepo AWD GT, etc. in this particular test... Laugh o lots W legend thanks for the Sub
Man, very interesting to see the hubs outdo the direct drive. That's a real testament to Backfire Boards. No surprise the RS won, it's a great board.
Man you are not wrong The G3 is one of the best hub boards out there @Backfire have always used good components and it shows
As always, awesome video! Yep totally unexpected results. Since I'm waiting for my Verreal RS, I was hoping that it would do fine, but those hub motors are really impressive.
Haha thanks yea the G3 was the surprise of the day I really only included it to show how good the other two were haha
Everyone was guessing Backfire G3 last 😜
Nice video, expect more like that ! Any information on a Backfire Zealot review?
Yep coming soon leaving China in 3 days cant wait to see this one
I thought the seeker will beat the backfire, but also expected the rs will win👌🏻 nice comparison video Scott
on the Flat i think the Seeker would win but i was surprised on the hill
@@scottdaviesyoutube looking forward for more videos like that

Thanks Shane, yea I wanted to really stress them. Cheers
SCOTT DAVIES ESK8 & TECH REVIEWS what street did you test them on
Benelong RD, 350m long
I've been having lots of fun with the RS, it is so underestimated. It can whip boards that today (2024) cost around $1,200.
Nice choice of boards for comparison Scott 👍. Will be watching to see who comes out on top
No guess for 1,2,3 ?

I never doubted the RS. I knew it was going to win, if you slapped that 45T wheel pulley on you would not go under 30km/h at all haha
