The store sounds like it’s running the worse type of prerelease
First time at a pre release event lol. Bit of an interesting experience. I do get it but it just feels a bit bad for new players 😅
I agree. Prerelease is not like that. They sound crooked lol
I go to that store, the overall event page from the official one piece card game site tell you to check with the local store on how they run it. It was posted a week and a half prior to who were able to buy boxes on their public Facebook site. They allowed 50+ ppl to participate it’s not realistic to expect them to have the right to buy boxes with the shortage around. They do the system to prevent random scalpers from just buying and leaving without actually participating, it wasn’t encouraged by the store to get a play set of the new cards. They said play with what you pull added to your own deck (it isn’t the best model because you have friend groups that will help each other out naturally) go to any other store in the area, you can’t buy a box anywhere unless you made it to the official one piece store and some stores make you pay $30 for a prerelease promo pack and do pack per win for the tournament instead of giving you the kit (those definitely need to be reported). Safe practice is to contact any new store you’re not familiar with to find out, they’ll probably change up their model in future due to the salty mobs who didn’t research/check and expected a box for showing up for the first time
That is not a prerelease event at all. They are shady I would not go there again. Sorry you had a bad experience.
I've never seen a shop run a prerelease like this. The official Bandai rules for pre-release events are a sealed format with 6 packs the way you expected it to be. It is not uncommon for stores to do pre-orders or reserve box purchases for regulars (all our shops also got their allocations cut pretty hard), but you would never allow people to use those cards in the sealed event. Sometimes the store regulars will vote on optional rules, like using rainbow Luffy, to make it more even but that's it. These are the kinds of shops that we just wouldn't support in our locals, though we are privileged to have 6 different shops to pick from.
Dang 6 shops! Quite nice lol and yeah the bb openings are fine but to use them in an event where the bulk of the players can't even make a proper deck from 6 packs, was definitely a bit rough
I've had some do constructed entirely. Others only had 1 kit and ran constructed but raffled of the packs. It's up to the TO, but with how hard it is to get product, the people who built 06 tier 1 decks would clearly have the advantage
The official rules are Sealed OR Constructed
This should most definitely be reported to bandai. They were sent this product to conduct prereleases with and not to sell unless they happen to have extra. Even getting your packs is great but the prerelease is designed to experience op06 for yourself. Stores receive a second shipment a week later with additional boxes for release. This is taking advantage of players and this happens to a lot of stores but bandai should be notified and then they can make it so stores only receive product on the actual release date. On an additional note, op06 is not actually released yet so even being a constructed op06 tournament any op06 cards used in constructed would be deemed illegal to play with the exception of a sealed prerelease
AHh that makes a lot of sense. and yeah I think just seeing others open op -06 gave me the idea that everyone is getting a box to play constructed or some form of sealed lol when we found out thats not the case we just kinda dipped after getting the kits. I do understand where they are coming from but for such a widely popular event, I wish I could have been able to participate in a sealed 6 pack event. It looks super fun lol MY OPENED KID STARTER DECK WAS FOR NOTHING XD
That sounds so bad honestly. I also went to my first prerelease in my local store in Germany. They are the best.
We did a standard sealed event where you were just allowed to play cards you pull in your 6 packs. They didn't even sell the booster boxes before the event ended so nobody could slip in some hits from there into the event.
Also they didn't presell all boxes, they reserved 1 booster box per prerelease participant which you could buy after the event. Everybody gets 1 display and nobody can buy more than that. Thats so cool so every real player has the chance to get their hands on a box.
Also if they remove the foil from the box in the store we got it for 120€ per box. And if you wanna keep it sealed they charge 180€ so nobody just resells the boxes. Was so cool!
Honestly some stores annoy me with this. Me and my friend signed up for the super pre-release event for ST-1,2,3 and 4 at a store. Signed up on the official website everything secured a placement. Got to the store at the time on the website. When we got their they told us that it had already started and asked if we signed up on the website in which they stated they did instore sign ups way before the sign ups started and let all their customers get the spots instead and made up their own starting time. Super annoyed took time off work to go and they just basically told us to go home. A $2000 card we could have won, our chance taken from us because we followed the rules we were told to. I hate stores that do their own thing.
That sounds like your fault though
That´s not how it works they were only trying to get more money out of it 🤬
Yeah idk If it's standard but definitely an interesting first pre release experience on my end 😅
Not standard to all the ones I’ve been to
Bandai Requires the event to
Follow there guidelines. Stores that don’t should be reported. Bandai gives product and states, event should be held with 1 winner card per 8 people.
6 packs are given to each player and that’s all they can use. Bandai gives product specifically so it can be used in events, a lot of store pocket the winner cards
damn!!! 1 winner card per 8 people? WHAT. here is Australia 2 winner per 64 ppl event. clearly the store pocket the winner cards lol
damn!!! 1 winner card per 8 people? WHAT. here is Australia 2 winner per 64 ppl event. clearly the store pocket the winner cards lol
I've asked a store about how One-Piece PreRelease events is run at their store and the manager told me that you just bring a leader and then build a deck based on the 6 packs they give you which is similar to how Digimon's prerelease was. I didn't know stores could change the way they run events. Doesn't seem very fair 🤔
Yeah I'm a bit new to pre-release events so it was just a lot of confusion on my end tbf 😅
@@DKsCardPirates I think the next time I go to the LGS I play at, I’m gonna ask if stores are allowed to run their One Piece prerelease events like this out of curiosity. Not a player, just a very casual and curious One Piece collector. 😂
@jiangCollects You can’t
Aye broskie! it was good seeing you at the event! Sorry for startling you! haha Yeah, after they made that announcement, our group dipped. Felt bad doing that to the shop but it was pay to win considering ppl could use their boxes to add to their contructed decks and make basically an 06 deck out the gate. Mega Scuffed. But glad you're local! Hope you come out to more locals and get some games in!
Haha awesome to meet you my dude. Yeah when I heard that, I just kinda left as well. A bit unfortunate, lots of nice people, just you can't compete with 6 packs when they have a full op 06 deck basically. Also...I only had leader cards hahaha
Our store told us something similar. We were supposed to get 88 boxes, we only got 44. So only people who regularly play in the store could initially buy boxes because not only do we need product to play for but theres no telling when the other half of the supply will show up. That being said we still ran the event as a normal sealed event. Id say report the store to bandai for misconduct
It's all short everywhere
@@matatumbac obviously but I'm just saying specifically at our store the order was shipped in two parts so we didn't have it all at once for the pre release
@@vehicledestroyer In my store they cut the orders in half for all the preorders
Every store have their own pre-release rules. Sealed or Constructed. It supposed to be mentioned prior to the beginning of the event not on the day!
However, too many bullshit advantages to the local players for this time of event.
- You should be able to buy 1 display at pre-release. Usually it goes like that so you get a chance to buy it early.
- Either it’s a constructed deck based on OP-05 or it’s a sealed OP-06.
- Bringing old leader is also not mandatory, some ship provide the Luffy rainbow leader in case you don’t pull a OP-06 leader on the day.
Hope you find a better LGS for OP-07 pre-release
That’s crazy cuz I went to this stores pre-release and didn’t even stay😭 saw how they were running it and saw it wasn’t fairly ran
Stores that get very small allocation have no choice but to run constructed pre-release. I have some stores where I play who do constructed pre-release.
Yuueeeeeeeeeeeeeee PHENGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! 😚
And yeah man. It's a pretty big store though man lol and good people for sure. But yeah I just think I'd be at a disadvantage playing against people with full bb decks of op 06 compared to my random 6 packs. Someone else mentioned the store could just split the tourney between newbies and vets to make it even Steven's. I think they had quite a few winner zoros to give out as well.
At least you were able to get packs. My store had the pre-release capped at 64 people, in which I was able to sign up for through the app before it filled up.
Unfortunately the store put a FB post the previous night saying they only had enough product for 32 people and if you were registered through the app you would need to be at the event an hour earlier to maybe get a spot. I'm not on FB too much so when I got there found all of this out.
You would think a large game store would know how much product they had way ahead of time. Me and a number of people at my locals were pretty disappointed.
we had a problem with some places not getting enough boxes and stuff. i think there is simply more players than what bandai and the stores xpected :D
Yeah very true
I went to my first pre release event today and at my store it was 6 boosters per player and you had to build a 40 card deck. Just bring your own leader and 10 dons. I think your store was some other event.
Yeah it was a constructed bb event for their consistent players. Whcih I get it, just a bit tough for new players.
I feel you. I had the same bad experience today. I had my application successful on bandai tcg+ , went there on due time , just to hear that it was full , and apparently it was on first in first serve, which was not mentioned, plus my application was successful, was it not... the lgs (der anderen spieladen in berlin Germany) blamed bandai for the app... regardless i feel the store should have respected the application as shown through bandai...Also behind another kid with his mother, he was told the same.... clearly not an exemplary organization of such event... at the end did not even get the kit... also the boy left very sad.
Yeah that's not okay at all. If you got approved on the bandai app, thats absolute nonsense that they didn't let you participate let alone get a pre release kit. Sorry to hear my dude.
I feel ya, the same thing happened to me. The list said 64 participants. I was the 7th one to successfully apply. Got there 15 minutes before it started and they cut it off at 36 folks. They didn't list it as a first come first serve as well. Really sucks.
Every event I've gone to you pay the store separate from the app to actually save your place, never only use the bandai app always check with the store.
That store should have had a separate pod for new players. It's that simple. Let the regulars play with each other.
Yeah that makes so much sense lol
Yeah that sounds rough, sorry that was your first experience with a pre release.
Stores can choose to do sealed or constructed but constructed should only be the previous format and not the format of the new set. They should advertise somehow that the event will be constructed. Sealed pre release are the most fun!
That Hody for sealed is broken haha
Bro how’s that’s even fair ☠️ I mean I get that loyal customers have priority which is great, but it ruins new players experience
Yeah that's the only part that kinda ruined it, just for new players it wasn't a good event.
Biggg time 😅
Fuck that store smh.
Very nice people to be fair, just a bit exclusive and not fun for newbies in the local scene
name the store....and film the guys building the op06 decks
terrible behavior
i agree with this, i feel like since no says anything stores and people can get away with scummy shit which just encourages them to do even more scummy shit
Lord rush collectibles spread the word!
@@bearonionlol Nah it wasnt lord rush, lord rush had their one and only pre release this morning. DK is talking about the event he went to last night
Not lord rush collectibles lol they had a sealed pre release event. They were unfortunately fill and I couldn't join em. Would have definitely done so though
Sealed pre-release is conducted only and only with cards from the 6 Packs and pre-release Promotion packs. The store and the players can choose if they want to play with a any leader from old sets or one they pulled from the packs or the new rainbow Luffy. Honestly, Rainbow Luffy has been good for me, I've won the sealed event in OP05 and OP06, so yeah, everything else is not inside the rules of Bandai and you should definetly report this.
I’m in the same boat, went to my first pre release last night. Opened a new starter deck for the Kid leader, played my first game that night. But it went how it should have been ran. Everyone cracks 6 packs and makes a 40 card deck.
Nice! Hope you had a good time :)
@@DKsCardPirates it was fun, didn’t get a pre release stamped card pack. Not sure why. Best pull was the SP Ms. All Sunday from set 4
Don’t let this stop you from enjoying your local scene. Just use it to your advantage don’t let them take advantage of you over hype.
yeah for sure man, definitely still plan on attending pre-releaseses in the future.
I was told repeatedly first come first serve on boxes and told to pre purchase boxes. Showed up other people had OP6 decks and head opened boxes no one out of the 30 people that were there and got to open any boxes that they we're hoping to pick up.
We did five rounds of six pack constructed deck of 40rainbow Luffy, but the first round a couple people were told you could use the leaders you pulled, so everybody played yamoto from then forward rainbow Yamato
I would NEVER support an LGS like that... that's awful bro. Sorry that was your first experience. There ARE in fact goof LGS's out there, although unfortunately it seems like they're way more uncommon than they should be...
But MOST pre-releases aren't like that! I mean, SOME places like to run constructed events, which personally is fine IMO. BUT, they're not supposed to be some sort of weird MIXED type of event where SOME people get to use sealed cards AND constructed and others can only use the 6 packs... like that just seems SO F***ed up... I've been to a few at a few different stores and it's never been like that...
Same thing happened to me during last set. The 1st store did constructed, lol didn't bring a deck as well. And the 2nd store was sealed but brought my deck cause I didn't wanna go ale any chances. And for this set all the shops around me are locked in with rainbow Luffy leader if the have sealed.
i went to one last night as well. first time there. I was able to find them in the app and applied. It was more liker first come first serve for getting in to the event which was fine. they were also constructed which i knew about as well so i had my deck ready. They give out packs per win. I am very new and lost all my games so they at least gave me one pack lmao I did like the store because people were very cool. I am going to try one more today and see how it is. I hope i can get 6 packs at least and then I will be at mitsuwa trying to get boxes on friday.
Hey that's awesome man! Hope you still had a good time though and yeah I'm camping mitsuwa on Friday too hahaha
My pre release was sealed. Got 6 packs ran 3 rounds and then got 3 more packs at the end. Got 2 alt arts and a few SR. Still need a lot of cards but it was cool to see the cards early. We brought a leader or could use one of the new leaders if you opened it. If you got Yamato you were on top of the event.
This also happened to me last set when I sent to my first "pre-release" not all stores run them the same sadly. but I have been able to get into proper events this set and they have been AMAZING!!
Yeah, that's not how pre-release events are supposed to be run. It's pretty sus. Thankfully my LCS ran the event properly, and made us all use rainbow Luffy leaders to make it equal. Sad thing is though, between the 3 events I went to, in my 18 packs all that I pulled were 2 normal art SRs :(
They can choose to do the constucted version if they want but if they have the stock to run the sealed i dont know why you wouldnt run sealed, thats really dumb.
thats not how it should go man. They trynna keep the boxes for themselves including the winner card, prolly buncha friends running the shop. Im sorry for that happening to you lol... I will go tomorrow to my first sealed event. Thanks for the heads up. I was only gon get my leader. Now imma get 2 decks just in case. xD
Hahaha always better to be prepared brother 😂😂 don't be like me 😂
This sounds horrible. It's a clear favoritism towards their returning customers, which in turn, is a giant middle finger to new players.
yeah its good for the regulars, kinda dookie for newer players lol
@@DKsCardPirates I kid you not, your video came up at my pre release event yesterday, and we all agreed we would voice our frustrations to that store owner and never give it our business. What they did goes against everything you need to do to build a community. We all thought you were being too nice 😅
Sorry that's not how it's supposed to work. Next time try a different store.
Haha yeah I just gotta sign up as quick as possible next time 😅
Yeah... no lgs hosting pre release events manage it in this way everyone gets only the 6 packs to use anything else purchased is separate from the event itself hopefully they get enough feedback to change how they do future events my pre release was depressing 0/6 watched manga zoro get pulled in the 6 packs right after mine from a box 😅
YOU ARE THE MAN I LOVE YOUR CONTENT AND "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN"
It sucks how hard it is to get One Piece.
Haha appreciate you brother and yeah it's a tough scene
Bruh I heard ur name get called at lord rush collectibles for their pre release 😂
@@dinerenblanccnah that was this morning diff shop
Wha?! Hahah I wish I could have been there. I'm sure it was a good event
I was out of I went out of town for a pre-release event just to find out they didn't get their shipment in and then it's going to happen now a week from now which I'll be in Virginia so I'm going to miss it
Pre release are normally the most fun.dont give up try a diffrent store they should all be sealed
oh for sure!
I went to one last weekend where they sold all of their product the day before the event to one of the guys that is in good with that shop. They just held a regular tournament for the winner card. Was garbage and I won’t be going back there.
At the pre-release event i went to, everyone with a pre purchased ticket had a box set aside for purchase, however the store would not allow purchases of the box until round 2 of the event. Its much more organised and i can't get behind a store doing a constructed pre-release event? I hope your next event is done in the more traditional way.
I was there, and the whole deal was some BS for sure. Not an even playing field, just a total upset by w/e. We live and learn. I got to meet DK and get six packs so not a total loss.
Haha you are an absolute legend brother and it was great to meet ya. And I felt the same way as you, got the 6 packs and met some good people, not a total loss 😁
Your pulls would have been amazing for sealed. Too bad the LGS doesn't do actual sealed pre-releases.
yeahhh maybe next time lol
I went to one last night, and it was just the 6 packs, plus a leader and build a 40 card deck. I was happy with my 6, got the AA perona leader and AA charater SR card
Haha congrats my dude
I hate when people say oh well we need to take care of our returning customers first ok I understand that they are returning customers and you want to take care of them but I have to drive over a hour to find an lcs that offers one piece or star wars unlimited or really any tcg outside pokemon and magic it sucks for me so when these lcs take care of locals those who dont have a local shop get screwed.
great video, but holy shit the ending song is so loud compared to the video...
Officially they are supposed to give you a Rainbow Luffy Card. So you shouldn't have to bring anything. Then you can use the 6 packs and all the colors in one deck. They just made it complicated.
You're thinking of the Sealed Battle tournament. In that one they give you the luffy and a pack with two of the Blue SH promos. You do get 6 packs in both though
Yeah I think that was a previous event but the same concept should be in place with the 6 packs to my understanding
the shop I play at is doing both... a constructed tournament right after the usual weekly tournament then a sealed event on a separate day
Yeah that makes sense. Probably just need to be more in the loop with local shops here 😅
I went to my first pre release/ first ever event was a build a deck with 6 packs luckily I got a aa reiju leader but playing was was already it was supposed to be 5 games and 2 of my opponents dropped so I only got to play 3 games but still had a lot of fun
Hey that's awesome man, congrats on the pull and glad you played a few games :)
Just a fyi since it doesnt seem like you knew when pulling that last pack, when you get a leader pack, it's always 2 rares
weird experience, they should also investigate imaginary stores "conducting store events" thus giving prizes
Yeah I've heard some stores just sell their kits online. Tbf, the store did sell their pre release kits at good prices, the tournament aspect was just a bit ruined is al
Sound epic. LoL. That happened to me for set 4
😂😂😂😂😂😂 hope you had a chance to open some 06 my dude 🙏
Damn that sounds frustrating! I heard of a lot of wonky stuff for this event, especially on the Friday events.
yeah its a nice shop and they are trying to reward their regulars but for people who want to try new cards in the local scene, it kinda sucks.
That tournament point it's BS. But they can do it the both way tournament. It's on the rules. But I think they need to say that beforehand
yeah its fine at the end of the day as mentioned in the video, it just kinda sucks for newer players who can't compete bc they only have 6 packs compared to regulars who can make a full deck from BBS.
Lol
You should absolutely report that store. Its an absolute grift where they are just trying to give stuff to their whale customers.
honestly, I just wanted to participate in my first pre-release XD but yeah kinda sucks tbh
I'm on your side DK. Sorry, thanks for taking us there.
Lol appreciate you and yeah just an interesting and odd first event for me 😅
yeah I went to my first pre-release yesterday and it was sealed. i was on the waitlisted and i got in. the store said that we can buy 1 box after the tourney and you had to stay to open.
oh that sounds fun though lol. Glad you got in :)
Bandai do say that lcs can run either version of the event but sealed is definitely the better and more preferred
Yeah I definitely get that. The bb opening for the select few players kinda just pushed me away. Also I didn't have a deck haha
That store is not good, it doesn't matter if they want to protect their most regular customers, but the pre release event is a bandai official event, not a store choose event, so is sad some stores just do what they want, if there would be a way I will try to report it to bandai
Yeah I think the bb opening and allowing them to use the bbs in the tournament was just a bit of a turnoff. But I get where they are coming from and I only had a leader card anyway lol but just need better research on my end next time before signing up
yeah thats not a normal pre release. the whole point of a pre release is to play the new cards and have similar power level between the players. sorry that you had to experience such a flawed event. hope that not the case next time
yeah that is kind of what i was hoping for to be honest with you and I hope I can find one like that next time lol
Yeah, nah
They screwed you
If you signed up for a pre-release op06 event, you get the 6-pack event, and maybe your LGS will allow rainbow luffy…but that’s the setup; Period.
I’ll be uploading mine soon and it sucked cause the pulls this set just weren’t as good as all 5 previous ones, but they screwed you and did not follow Bandai rules
They can do a constructed event right after or the next day
But to basically do a ‘bait and switch’ by calling it a ‘pre-release’ event but then doing an 06 constructed event where only people who preorder boxed months in advance can actually stand a chance? it is not a smart business model to aggressively push out new customers like you, and only heavily support the regular attendees…
Your store sounds sus to me. All Store should be beginner friendly. I've never see a store that handled a pre release event like that. It's a shame cause with your pulls you would have a really good shot to win the event
Yeah that’s not how it was supposed to go, I went to my locals for the PR event on the Bandai site they have 2 events running 1 with a 16 cap and one with a 30 cap. The 30 cap one wasn’t happening and the shop owner said Bandai just threw the event up, it wasn’t up to him. I couldn’t partake but he let me get 12 packs at least cause he felt bad. Everyone else did the PR sealed format. No hate to my local shop, it was my first event I had a good time playing against new friends I made. I’ll be going to the event next Friday at least
That's awesome that you had a good time my dude, first impressions make a big impact haha hope that lcs keeps on doing what they are doing
I would report them to bandi. That’s not how it is supposed to work
I think they were just trying to run a constructed deck. The bb opening though was a bit unfortunate
broi can relate i am a kid myself im 12 i play a bit competetivly kinda ish i go to locals went to a case tourneament went x 3 7 rounds but uh back to the pont m lgs does a whole box for pre release where u build ur deck and it doesnt even let me participate bcuz a box is 110 +tax and thats way to much for a kid and plus they only let there loyal customers and people in there group chat luckily im friends with the owner but i still felll what you said doesnt let new people to the store play :(
That’s not normal, in fact it’s not allowed. Anyone can report stores in the tcg+ app.
I think you’re kinda coping. Yes you take care of your loyal customers, but the way they are doing it is ineffective. As they cannot gain new customers, and give people like you and your brother a really shit experience. Which in turn means many others had the same experience. Who knows if people would still want to get into the game seeing that
Yeah no that LCS really dropped the bomb which is sad they definitely need to do better.
So that store made it horrible. That’s not how the pre release is supposed to work. Bandai give the info for that
lol yeah i just kinda wanted to play, maybe next time at a different lcs then
@@DKsCardPirates AND hopefully better experience. Just takes that one Lcs to do thing right , be fun and then you always go back lol
That's kinda fishy we ran two events the first seaked and second constructed
yeah I think if they did it that way, it would have been perfectly fine.
Sometimes stores have too closed groups, which is a business mistake in my opinion, making it hostile for new customers to enter.
But then again, the same group of small customers they already have buys all their stock and plays all the tournaments.
Lol I think a good balance is always tough to manage. Good for locals who support them, unfortunate for brand new players just getting into the scene
I had the exact opposite experience at my first pre release event 😅. Had a blast! Sorry that happened to you, but I’m sure next one somewhere else will be great.
haha hey man, i am happy for you brother! From what ive seen, pre-release events look super fking fun lol hope I can find one soon XD
Atlast someone who speam what really happening in a local tournaments. Newbie player cant join without burning much money before they get the position in tourney
Yeah tough for new players for sure
Sucky experience for sure. Unfortunately the Bandai sucks massive donkey nuts tot the extreme, and LCS’ have very little control, especially to leave “notes”. Better to check their social media.
Although pre release can be Constructed or Sealed, it’s really scummy imo that they sold Booster boxes prior to the tournament 🥴🥴🥴
Damn bro, that sucks so much, sorry to hear that. Poorly planned indeed.
Yeah I should have known to be fair. Probably need to follow all lcs socials before going there next time to be prepared lol
Thats obviously not how the store should run it. You should report them to bandai. Thats really scummy.
Yeah I get where they are coming from but for new players, just unfortunate tbh
That sounds like an awful experience, you shoukd definitely name and shame that store. I would have been absolutely furious if I got there and they pulled this junk on me. A mysterious fire may even break out lol. Keep up the amazing work man, I can't wait to see what you get from your box.
Yeah me and my bro just got the prerelease kits, which was still nice but yeah overall, I wanted to play a sealed event. Just gotta do some more research locally next time lol
Sucks to hear this was your experience. Hopefully they re-look at how they run their events, because if it keeps going the way it does, this would be how you kill one piece tcg in its infancy.
Yeah I was genuinely excited to play lol but maybe next time XD just need to be quicker with signing up on the bandai app
You got scammed, that’s not what pre-release events are supposed to be
i won 2-3 and i pulled a sanji regular Hordy jones leader and character and a geko Morea character
Haha nice my dude congrats on the pulls!
Pulled a camie alt art at my pre release🤙🏽
Which LCS do you pre order your op boaster boxes from?
There are quite a lot locally here but that was the only place that had available spots on bandai app. And it always varies honestly on who has stock, who doesnt
damn this event thing sounded so bad, having a constructed event which only allows tournament points players on release? im sorry this was your first experience with a pre release, what you mentioned before with the 6 packs and bring your own leader is what a pre release should be to me and it has been the case with every pre release since op03. i hope you can go to a better lgs with a sealed event. im in the UK so our pre release was delayed until the 22nd of march so wish you the best man, i love your content
Hey man, i appreciate you ! and yeahhh this was quite unfortunate for me and my bro but were looking for other shops that host pretty consistent events to attend to lol HOPEFULLY we can attend an 07 release and book those in super early XD best of luck in your pre release!
That shop should lose their official Bandai account
I'm 4 minutes into the video and I already know that store sucks, that is not the way to do a pre-release event. Not fair for everyone else and new people like you that want to experience the game.
yeah i would have loved to play a sealed pre-release where everyone makes decks from 6 random packs but maybe next time XD everyone who particpated in one on the discord looked like they had a great time though so thats a huge win.
They could've done that after a closed pre release... still would've had great business and made plenty money
Yeah who knows tbh. Interesting first experience
Report to Bandai….f*** that store!
I didn't even have to watch the first 5 minutes to already know how shitty that event was for you. Sorry about that! Stick to the bandai app and avoid that store you went to.
Oh boy, I'm about to go to this same shop for pre-release today. Wish me luck lol
Haha I'm sure you'll do great
Really annoying that they didn’t announce that ahead of time that they wouldn’t be using bandais official rules. The event I went to yesterday went by Bandai rules. 6 packs, any leader. Have heard TO’s doing this and it sucks
Yeah just a bit of confusion on my end and alot of people who did attend lol
Great playmat 💪🏼
Hahah thanks my friend.
Went to same store yesteday for same pre-release, it sucked, got there early and the employee told me that everybody that participates on the tournament will get the chance to get a box if there is enough stock, but then the owner/manager said something totally different when we people whitout tournament points got the turn in line
Yeah I was getting excited that people were opening boxes making decks and was thinking everyone would get a chance to participate make a deck etc. Bit dissapointed in the end but good learning experience
Plano did a sealed event
Yeah I messed out unfortunately
Wouldnt be surprised if the shop owner was selling boxes just to friends
Lol they did have a few cases but I'm thinking those are probably for their remaining tournaments for prizing
#Savage. I would have gotten my packs and left as well. Yeah, normal pre-release is not like that.
that is such a bad experience. i personally would not support stores that do that
Yeah it's to each their own but just kinda sucks for brand new newbies like me haha
Bro thats not fair👹 Benefit the few at the expense of everyone else. F that store🎉
Yeah it just kinda sucks for newer players
Your packs would have been cracked to actually play the sealed event, very unfortunate it didn’t work out for you
Yeah all good. Maybe next time 🤣
DK is my goat and i want to thank you for sending help 😅
Haha I'm glad ur out of the restroom
