- Taken from the West Pier in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan this is the Philip R Clarke from Great Lakes Fleet, arriving as our final ship of the 2023-2024 Shipping Season
I know captain Hein so he and First Mate Ken Houseal came out to say hello and then gave me a Master Salute which was very cool. Ken yells out joking afterward "That was almost as bad as the Munson!" referring to fleetmate John G Munson
Wonderful video. Thanks!
Great video and reporting! Always amazing backdrops for those amazing ships.
You are loved by them :)
What a beautiful (cold) morning! Bummer about the poor frozen whistle though. Love that they waved and called you by name. ❤
You take a safe, respectful break. Thank you for all the great entertainment.
“Sounds almost as bad as the Munson!” That guy has to be totally great to be around, you can just tell 😂
Thanks for all the great videos. Bummed the season is over. I really look forward to see your work.
I'm glad to catch rhis. Can't wait to spend some time this winter with you.
My first shipping season done and it all started with the tune of The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald going through my head at work one night and knowing it seemed like a Gordon Lightfoot song.
Thanks for braving the cold. Best wishes to the crew for a wonderful time with family.
Awesome video and super cool you got a salute!
Very very cool!
That horn sounded like a lot of us,...a cold, sinus infection!!! Poor thing!😊
I clear the horn on my semi with a Captain’s salute on snowy mornings
Just found your page. Question: What are you using to record the videos? They are quite good & your narrative is so very comfortable and informative! Thank you👍🏻
Hey, what’s the big fishing pole hanging off the bow?
During winter lay up, do they winterize the entire ship or do they have power to the ship to keep it warm?
