- Hi! My name is Crane. Welcome to my suburban cottage home garden in New Jersey Zone 7A. I mainly grow cut flowers, greens, and herbs and make garden bouquets to sell at my roadside stand. I create sanctuary for wildlife, birds, insects, etc. I grow all kinds of vegetables and, sometimes, cook. I grow ornamental landscape plants and trees as well. Lovely as always. I agree on going with instinct. I don’t use insecticides in the garden. If a plant gets aphids I found that if I wait long enough the ladybugs come in a eat them.
Give plants the best conditions for growing you can and they will take care of themselves.
I also plant as many native plants on our property as we can even in the landscape. Every year we see more insects and butterflies and now also frogs and snakes, birds, mammals.
I love seeing the deer in our backyard woods, the birds, owls, fox, hawks, squirrels, raccoons, opossum etc.
Thank you very much for your comment. Very good pie on effort. I also stop insecticide for years too. I am breast natural methods, and I noticed that I got less pest in my garden. Also thank you for planting native plants. Little thing that we can do for our environment. 😊🥰❤️

Hi Crane, thanks for this video, it seems it is talking to me….I have lots of anxiety about how to make my garden perfect: controlling things that I don’t have the power of. I almost quit gardening…watching and listening to u , it helps me realize that I forgot the joy of gardening, I need to let go and coexist with nature. U are my inspirations. Enjoyed the charming tour of your gardens and areas around your home, Crane. I’m glad you’ve found a way to garden which is anxiety-free for you. It is much more rewarding when we enjoy gardening the way we can each personally manage it and stop worrying about having the “perfect” garden. I know the wildlife in my gardens prefer my newer relaxed approach to gardening.

You have such a beautiful garden, and it is especially gorgeous this in autumn with your amazing gingko tree. I adore deciduous trees, especially gingko, however our I can't plant too many big trees as we only have 1/4 acre. I too love watching Daniel's TH-cam videos. Thanks to her I learnt about your wonderful channel.

Thank you for the beautiful and peaceful garden tour. We are in southern Wisconsin and are in zone 5a with a country property. You are fortunate to live in a warmer zone and being able to grow shrubs and trees that we can't grow. The color that you still have in November is amazing! Enjoy your beautiful fall!

Thank you very much. There are so many ways to plant native plants desk light all the other plants. Almost every native plants and trees i have and the golden rat they are already here, so I just let them grow naturally. I sow seed off some annual natives. The shrub I just bought it from local nursery. 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
I planted 2 sweet autumn clematis vines.yours is beautiful. We are having deep freezes now and there’s nothing that has withstood the frosts .so excited for spring! Winter is my quiet time when I start next years blooms . Happy holidays to you and yours! 🐝☀️
