Guys, when you got off ferry you were literally half hour from me. I see you headed north but not sure if you stopped at Asda in Girvan or the one in Ayr. Lovely to hear Flower of Scotland. Great to see you both relaxing. Enjoy the Highlands and islands. If you end up in the Cairngorms may I recommend an epic wild swimming place. It's on the Quoich, with several places to swim in deep pools and by waterfalls. The first swimming spot is only about 10 mins walk from the river bridge, walk over it and follow the river upstream. You can park for a small charge at 57.001777, -3.455367. We paid to stay overnight (the only van there) but there are also a few free park ups on the road in. The parking spot's 10 miles from Braemar at the Linn of Quoich. We swam there this week - it was amazing, like being in a rain forest. #youneverregretaswim

I've said it before and will say it again, A-Level Maths and Physics is hard core stuff, you'd never know from the videos to be brutally honest, but Keely is actually super smart to do this stuff!!

Then quickly realised I had no idea what I was doing and it has been rusting away ever since haha. It is a mammoth job to fix that van, far beyond my skills or finances, I was young a naive what can I say haha. I can't bare to part with it as I would love to fix her, but Philly says I need to let her go and someone else can do it lol.

Never got to drive it myself as it was gifted to me mid-project. 💔 The market here is strong as there are few left, how is the air-cooled scene there? Finding a motivated VW enthusiast might put some coins in your pockets for another passion project of your choosing. Your decision, of course! ❤️❤️

BEST COFFEE EVER - Hey Guys, forgot to mention, when we rented an isolated cottage on Harris the tap water ran a bit brown (this was seemingly normal) it was due to the high peat content in the ground but once over the yuk factor this water made the best tasting coffee ever. It's also the water that makes the Western Isles whiskeys the best in the world. One more thing being from Ireland you'll know about peat so no ground fires just in case it ever got dry enough - in Scotland! 😂😂😂😂

Went to South Uist last August for golf at Askernish, you're right,, not much on that island but beaches were nice. Ate at two hotels and the Co-Op was well stocked. Keely's goodbye to her parents had me fighting back tears. Did I see a VW van in the driveway? I had a 1979 VW Van and drove across the states way back when,,, love the VW's. And you guys too.

Then quickly realised I had no idea what I was doing and it has been rusting away ever since haha. It is a mammoth job to fix that van, far beyond my skills or finances, I was young a naive what can I say haha. I can't bare to part with it as I would love to fix her, but Philly says I need to let her go and someone else can do it lol.

BEST COFFEE EVER - Hey Guys, forgot to mention, when we rented an isolated cottage on Harris the tap water ran a bit brown (this was seemingly normal) it was due to the high peat content in the ground but once over the yuk factor this water made the best tasting coffee ever. It's also the water that makes the Western Isles whiskeys the best in the world. One more thing being from Ireland you'll know about peat so no ground fires just in case it ever got dry enough - in Scotland! 😂😂😂😂

You guys earned a chance to sit! And we loved the video as when you two talk we all laugh! No one is as funny and real as you two. "Never go full bag" and "I'm a nerd" had me rolling. Went to South Uist last August for golf at Askernish, you're right,, not much on that island but beaches were nice. Ate at two hotels and the Co-Op was well stocked. Keely's goodbye to her parents had me fighting back tears. Did I see a VW van in the driveway? I had a 1979 VW Van and drove across the states way back when,,, love the VW's. And you guys too.

@@phillyandkeely heading North, inland Lightning Ridge, Carnarvon Gorge then onto Airlie Beach on the QLD coast then down the East Coast via Yeppoon, Agnes Waters/ 1770, Sunshine Coast before heading back to Armidale NSW. We manage a motel so always listening to everyone’s travels so can’t wait to hit the road ourselves to warmer weather. Predicting snow ⛄️ here tomorrow.
