- Venom Terra hunter Tires...BEWARE! I had 3 out of 4 tires come back out of round and not able to be balanced. Mr. Wheel and Deal refused to send me 3 new tires and instead made me drag out a warranty for weeks, even after their tech assembled my wheels and knew they weren't balanced!

It's too bad people have to go through shit like you did. Instead of the company fixing the problem to make a better tire they are still selling junk because to this day they are still receiving bad reviews for the same issues.
I too was thinking about these Venom tires but after reading so many of the same problems (from other owners) that you had, I went with BFGoodRich ALL-Terrain T/A KO2. I may have paid $560 more for the set than the Venoms. But worth it for a piece of mind and hassle-free experience.
I was looking for tires and looked at these as well. I think the ultimate lesson is buy and install locally, that way you can drive right into their building if they don't make it right.

Wow, I have the exact opposite experience.
I ran two sets of Nitto G2's and never got more than 18k miles out of them, complete crap.
I now am on my third set of venom power Terra Hunters at 50k + miles per set after three years, I absolutely love them. Never had a problem with balancing at my local tire dealer.
I also never use discount tire, those kids can't balance anything.
Unfortunately it’s not the kids, multiple shops tried balancing them with no success which is why venom made me have them road force tested and they failed. I’m on 42k on my grapplers and they’re about half life.

They don't know how to use a torque wrench either. I damn near lost two wheels.

I love mine they are awesome . I had no issues getting them balanced and they are holding up well . They do hum starting at 30mph but it isn't too bad . They look badass .

I just got a set myself. I find them to be a bit on the noisy side.
I had a set of these on my brand new truck and they shook my truck like crazy at 70-75mph. I put around 7k miles on them. I took them off and within a few hundered miles I had to replace my ball joints on both side..(luckily I was under warranty). I spoke to a tire shop and he said 1 out of 12 made are bad. He highly recommend to stay away from these…I agree!

yeah its a bummer. i've seen them on a few trucks and was able to ask the owners if they had any issues. they said no. Maybe now the company has the quality control under wraps.
I have 35" Terra hunters on my truck now, I can't even drive on the highway it's so bad. Had my truck aligned twice now and still sucks. The vibration is so bad. All I've see is good reviews on this tire so glad to see someone that has the same issues.
Lots of bad reviews too. You’re not alone. But I’m sure by now they fixed their issue after warranting so many sets of tires

@@bsbdbdnd5013 they were the XTs. I took them off the truck soon after I posted the comment. No shop could fix it. I went ahead and just purchased a whole new set of wheels and tires. Went with nitto ridge grapplers. 10x better than the terra hunters.
33x12.5r20’s here. 35K miles and flawless for me. Straight and true to 95mph. Also bought the lifetime alignment from NTB and haven’t had to realign it in 3 years.
Nice, seems you got a good set, still not a brand I’m going to risk my life with, after watching company’s in this area stop carrying them.
I have the same size on my 2017 Chevy Silverado. Not an issue. From what I was told the problem was some of the early molds, some just not round. I've had mine for over a year now and am completely satisfied. I do feel for this man, I would be pissed! The only thing I don't like about these tires is my 33s only measure 31.5.

I have 42k traveled a lot towed a 5th wheel and a flatbed trailer. my tires are 3512.5r20 on an AT4HD also do a lot of overlanding tires balanced perfectly, even wearing and installed on a Sorento and Tacoma now no regrets, now waiting for the price to drop so I can get the replacement set for AT4HD, I think I can safely get another 10k of them
Lucky lucky. Seems I get one good review about them after about 3 negatives. I just can’t chance it. I travel from southern Ohio to Michigan upper peninsula, I can’t risk having issues.

Ya had bad issues with My Nittos too. dumpded them and got BFG ko2. went 4 years and 90k miles on them.. But now they are 105.00 more than last time i bought them..
Damn that sucks man! I guess i got lucky i bought some venom 33s from Walmart for 800$ for all 4 mine are great. Now im scared to get another set when i need to replace these i was happy to find i good priced and solid tire but from what ive seen they are hit and miss but mostly good reviews just sucks that they are putting out bad ones.
I should of seen this video before I bought them. I bought some 33s x r18. Luckily no vibration. I balanced them normally with regular weights. But they are a little noisy. I saw another video and the guy said his vibrated because they were beads balanced and once he took out the beads and balanced them normally that they didn’t vibrate at all.
I don't know, I have them in 275/70/18 and all four are as smooth and well mannered as the major brand tires but I had seen the complaints of out of round.
Yeah I’ve seen some good reviews but I’ve seen far more bad. It’s like you might get a good pair….but are they really good knowing the quality control isn’t that good lol

I have the radars renegade rt on my ram 3500 and have had nothing but the worse experience with them, they do not balance and truck shakes like crazy, my buddy has the same tires on his 2500 HD gmc and has the same problems. Would not recommend radars to anyone

To each his own.. tires are tires. I had a set of 305/55r20 ridge grapplers and 2 of them bubbled.
On my 2nd set of 37s with 8in of lift. Flawless switched from nitto to these because they ride better.
From my experience they don’t ride better, and are louder for sure. Glad you got some that seem legit.
I have them in 35x15.50r24, 33x12.50r22, and 37x13.50r22. I’ve had no issues with any of them balancing.

I have the same exact issues with shaking on my tundra. It shakes like a moutherf....er. I can't get a warranty replacement. Discount tires balanced and rotated them six times. The weight was off by ten to 12 ounces each. I feel so ripped off.

Sad but they do this all the time, rough country did this same thing to me with lifted coil overs. They squeaked immediately, they wanted pics then videos then truck info & they spaced out they’re emails & then said “oh u waited to long”...apparently 2days was too long..they intentionally drew out the communication to get it past whatever time frame
Man i have a set of 33s 17s , and I had to go back to the tire shop twice and get one tire replaced , the tires shook soo much on the highway past 65 , especially on a hot day , the rubber is very inconsistent, I won't recommend these tires , pay the extra and get some genuine tires
Yeah I had a set of 285/45r22, they only vibrated at highway speeds, but I ended up just buying a different brand.
I just bought this brand of tires and I have the same issue. I rebalance the tires in a ford dealership, and I also got a front alignment thinking it could be one or the other. Once I hit 70mph, I have some vibration on the truck and the steering wheel. I drive a 2021 F150. I guess this brand is no good.

seems like from the people I talk to who have bought them as well, sometimes you get a good set, and sometimes you get a bad set.
I’ve had a set on my 2022 ram 33x12.50x20 balanced correctly no problems or vibrations. I believe ur rim from mr. Wheel and deal is the problem.
Why would you say that when I clearly stated in the video that the tires were road forced tested per the company that makes the tire and came back so out of whack they said they were oval shaped….. Also why did I have zero problems with the new tires that are on the truck if it’s the rim? Why is there so many other people in the comments with the same issue?
Those tires suck, they look cool but suck. Glad yours balanced fine, and hope you don’t put yourself or family/friends in a bad situation over saving a few dollars for these tires.

I’ve been riding them since I bought my ram a year ago. I hunt and fish. But it in this alabama clay mud. Pulled right out with no problem. Still riding them. I don’t have the vibration at all. So idk

All I can say is lots of people have had this problem if you read down the comments. Belltire literally told me when I showed up to have the test done that one of their employees had them on their jeep with the same issue.
Maybe they’ve fixed the problem by now idk. But every now and then I get someone on here who comments saying they had same experience as me.

Just had these for 2 weeks now on my 2018 silverado on 22 arkon lincolns with these tires and it vibrates too but not as bad but it does get annoying.
How do those Nitto's handle the rain and wet pavement? I"m looking at these but was concerned as I had the Toyo R/Ts on my '21 Chevy Silverado 1500 Black Widow and they absolutely sucked on wet pavement. Seeing as Nitto is the sister of Toyo, I was wondering if your wet pavement experience has been positive. I've since move to a Chevy 2500 Duramax and this is what I'm looking at the Nitto's for. Nice setup on that Dodge by the way...looks sharp.
I’ve done lots of rain driving in them already and they did well. That being said I’m not heavy on the gas person. My cummins would spin the wheels on almost any brand I tried when it was wet out. It did make 600rwhp

8000 miles on my terra hunter xt, 2021 Silverado stock size. No issues at all. Sorry to hear. They generally have very good reviews and a ton of satisfied customers. These cases must be rare in comparison
Actually not rare at all, the more I look into them the worse it gets. You got a decent pair. Hope they keep you safe. Not only did two stores around me refuse to stock the brand because of this issue, I’ve seen numerous cases on custom offsets site, Venoms own Facebook site when they forget to delete comments like they did mine, better business Bureaus, and Yelp.
I really hope they work out for ya, I loved the look of them. Just be safe man!

@@FullDrawOutdoors What? Huh?… I never said my 35’s Venoms were shaking like the front end was loose. I said, My 35’s have been on my truck since 2019 and I haven’t had any issues. Just road noise. There is a slight hum, around 75-80, but it seemed to come on after having the transmission rebuilt.

Yes after couple weeks they sent me 3 new tires and then I sold them and bought a different brand
I just got a set of the Venom Terra hunter R/T's. Price point wasn't bad of course so i figured id give them a shot. My brother has the XT's on his ram 1500 and they don't seem to have any issues. Well, thats not the same case for me. My R/T's shake/vibrate the whole truck terribly at highway and interstate speeds. Luckily the place online i bought them from are actually letting me return them, thankfully. I am going to the Nitto Ridge grapplers.
Your tires and wheels is not balanced correctly. I would go to a reputable wheels and tires shop and get it balanced the right way.
That is the biggest problem I seen on the reviews of the venoms

Not sure how they are getting out of round.
The molds for making tires are very rigid and do not allow a tire to just form any way it wants. Im thinking maybe they are pushing cool down times and are removing the tires before they are ready and as a result the heat retained in the tire keeps the rubber very soft so when the tire is removed it could be stood up and it sags as it cools which would create an out of round tire. Possibly an injection problem with the material into the molds. Either way I'm not in the mood to deal with an issue like this so I will probably spend the extra $200 and get the piece of mind knowing my tires are good.
Its very possible, as you will see some claims of the tire being great. But even the company who I went too to have the tires road force balanced had a set and they couldn't get their own tire to balance either. very possible a rushed cool down time. It's a shame because the pattern/look is what drew me to it. But yes the price was appealing, but at the end of the day it cost me a grand for them, and another 2 grand for the nittos....lesson learned there!

Has nothing to do with the place you buy them and everything to do with quality control.
Lots of bad reviews and issues with these tires. You might get a good set. You might get a bad set.

I have 33x12.50r 20 an I’ve gotten them balanced multiple times an they still wearing uneven you get to 65 plus an you can hardly hold the truck on the road
Man that sucks. Ask them to check for being out of round. Also have your front end parts looked at as well.

Nitto did me dirty said my warranty was voided because I had 9.5 rim not 10 which is the minimum but every web site has them available for my 22 inch rim size, bad road force variance, and they break loose easily

Sorry, I know this is an old video, but did you ever try balancing the tires with beads and I heard you say they had to attach the weights in three different spots of the wheel to get them to balance, but where I live, I was told that tires that big need to be balanced with beads

No, I didnt end up doing beads, only because when they road force balanced the tire, the machine said the tire itself was basically out of round, so we just started the warranty process.

I’ve had 2 sets of the terrahunter X/t’s in a 33x12.50r17 and haven’t had any issues except for substantial wear on the first set of fronts I had due to my front end being all worn out!
After I put dodgeoffroad steering in and synergy ball joints the tires lasted a whole lot longer! This truck is my daily and I got almost 50K out of them. It’s a 2006 ram 2500 laramie 4x4 crew cab 5.9L cummins!

I have the terra hunter R/T on 22s and by far the worst tires i have everrrrr had. DO NOT BY ANYTHING VENOM. I bought a set if wheels with these on there and truck shakes so bad i can not drive it, anything above 65 feels like the truck is uncontrollable. Never felt unsafe in my truck until these tires.

Discount will purposely not balance a tire that you didnt buy at the store.
it was balanced at two different places, and if there weren't so many people commenting on here withe same issue i could see discount being the problem. but its the tires 100%
ive also had my dad order tires and took them to discount and installed and even paid for a warranty from discount with zero issue even though I got them for cost at my dads shop.

Yes that’s why I said the shop said somethings wrong they won’t balance without weights in multiple spots….16.5 oz to get one tire to balance. Out of round tire can’t be balanced with weights…they’ve done several sets for me including 37s and had no issues

You can’t balance an egg shaped tire lol, these guys have balanced several sets of tires for me, including 37s with 0 issues. I clearly mention in the video that the minute the machine wanted weights all over the rim they stated something was wrong, which is why we road force tested them at discount tire. One tire wanted 16.5oz of weights…these tires are trash. Even discount tire tried one more time to balance them….didn’t work. Two different shops one a massive chain store across the country ain’t screwing up the balancing process twice lol

Also the company warrantied out 3 tires…they were out of round. Incase you don’t know what that means…the tires were ehh shaped from the factory and because of that the 3 tires couldn’t be balanced and couldn’t pass a road test…..

So basically 😂😂😂😂 was sitting at the tire shop to have these installed and saw this…. I ran through the shop screaming stop! stop! stop! !!!!! As the guy was putting my truck on the hoist and I tore out of there so fast they never got to hear what happened 😂
Nitto ridge grapplers are my go too now, I have 60220 miles on the truck and just traded it in for a 2023, the tires still had east 15000 left in them. I’ve also talked to 3 people with those venom tires, two of them said no problems, the third said they vibrate like crazy. So sounds like you can get lucky.

I’ve got 3 trucks I use them for work everyday and during the off season these trucks head up North for a month long moose and elk hunt, I put 60 to 70 kms per truck each year and always try and have them replaced around this time of year. They were a good deal and now I know why. Trust me I hate dealing with tire warranty issues

@@customresultsdetailing3335 is stay away from venom, QC is terrible with this company. There is very little road noise, the venoms had a bad hum above 30.
Rocks aren’t that bad because there is less gaps, the venoms tossed all kinds of small rocks.

Looking back at these comments, multiple people have had this issue....the same exact issue lol....few claiming the same thing. they were told theyre out of round...this isnt rocket science man.
Firstly venoms are some of the cheapest tires you can buy on eBay. I put four of them on my daughter's truck and I had no expectation for them to be very around and they weren't but since they were half the price of any name brand tires I put up with it. Secondly any real tire shop nowadays records the dots and the serial numbers of every tire that they put on a car. I sense that venom just wants to wear you out or the shop that you bought them from is a victim of venom's processes with tires that are not very around. I understand you have a brand new truck and nobody wants a wobbly brand new truck. But the tread design you're looking for is going to come with inherent problems if not right away very shortly after you put them on. It's not a faulty product. You just get what you pay for. They may have kicked them too hot or any number of things could have happened in production. But you got what you paid for
Only thing true from what you said is you get what you paid for. My current tires have 28k on them and still ride like the factory tire. The company I bought them from did have me send in the DOT. This brand is trash period. Plenty of people having the same issues I did. I’ve owned lifted trucks with big tires of all brands since I was 18…I’m 34. I’ve never owned a stock truck. None of them gave me these issues. My Cooper stt on my cummins we’re 37s and rode just fine and they were 1000$ For 37x12.50R17
If you have vibrations coming from tires while doing highway speeds you need to stop driving them and have them balanced. If they don’t balance you need to replace them. Driving my truck was unsafe the way it was.

But my Stockbridge stones have already given me $55,000 mi and aren't Dead yet, and ride so quiet you can whisper in the truck at highway speeds. Of course it's a ram 2019. Even stock replacements are $200 each. But you get what you pay for.

It has zero to do with suspension when multiple places had issue balancing the tires. If it’s the wheels why did the same wheels balance just fine with the new tires??? Those are cheap tires for a reason and you get what you pay for.
Remember if ur running off road tires it's impossible to have it smooth like a soccer moms vehicle,, gotta consider rim size n more rubber lower profile ,,,ask anyone but whatever dude good luck,,,
@@kengyang1908 bud idk what things you’ve been driving but you shouldn’t have your steering wheel shaking at all. The tires were out of round. That means the machine made them egg shaped. I’ve built multiple trucks, my 96 r had nitto mud grapplers and sounds like a damn plane on the freeway lol. No vibration in that solid axle suspension. My cummins was on 37 cooper stt again zero vibration at any speeds. All had aftermarket rims. Read through the comments lots of people have issues with them. It’s a cheap tire…. 800$-1000$ for a set of 35s. I’m not the only one with a video of said issue. This isn’t a 1 and a million situation. You like the tires, I liked the look of them. End of the day they’re junk.

The tires are cheap period. 3 out of the 4 if you could listen we’re egg shaped, as said by the people who do this for a living. If other tires work just fine in the truck, how does that make it a bad truck. You don’t know what you’re talking about and you’re just trying to justify your bad purchase.
