    Cool content...... but.... where was ATC not happy?? All the interactions I could hear seemed perfectly amicable from both sides. I don't even know where you would be implying they weren't happy.
    Seriously, you're videos are such great quality, but this click baity crap really detracts from them.

      @@forthe_mark not true. Not anymore. Sure back in the good old days views were king, but these days, YT ad revenue is so dire its really not a viable option. Sure, its a nice extra, but if you're trying to make a living we're talking things like patreon and channel memberships. This whole thing of chasing views at all costs is a false economy, in the short term sure, you might get more views and more money, but in the long run your regular viewers get fed up of it and leave, and you're then entirely at the mercy of the algorithm

    That crackling you hear when a weak station is broadcasting is most likely voltage leakage from your ignition harness. It should change in sync with RPM of your engine. You had this problem a few years ago and I pointed it out then also.

      @@curtc4918 replacing the ignition harness is the best way. But you can see the arcing in the dark sometimes and replace the wire with the weak insulation.

      I hear it on a weak signal... It's not too bad but yes, i think it could be improved. The plugs also have a resistor in them. Checking that and the plug ceramic barrel for carbon tracks or cracks might also be the cause if the wires are ok.

    Watching this made me realize I don't know how to enter a specific radial in my GTN 750's flight plan. How did you do it?

      To my best understanding of the GNX750, you can’t load radials directly into the Flight Plan. In Matt’s case, he was given “Fly the gordensville VOR (GVE) 098 radial to V16” and when you plot that radial off of the vor on the chart, it points directly to the “DUPEY” fix along the v16 airway.
      So all Matt would have to do is plug in GVE then DUPEY, then load the V16 airway.

      It's a good thing if you have a fix at the right spot, otherwise you're sort of stuck using /A principles

    Here to learn IFR radio call in busy airspace. Am unfortunately training out of cornfield land without interesting fixes, victor airways,SDPs and STARS.

    GVE direct PHL puts you right through the DC Flight Restricted Zone. Of course you can't go direct! I've had to fix many a flight plan as my southern brethren controllers don't know didly about the complex airspace from Washington to NY

    Winchester TN! Cool. Bill Kershner, after his retirement, lived up the mountain at Sewanee. He had some aerobatic C150s he kept at Winchester and did some aerobatic instructions there. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a friend's home in east TN, and got invited down to Sewanee - a very interesting place to land - and then to Winchester for a couple aerobat lessons. Long years ago.

      Probably on the readback for the Philly approach. His transmission got blocked so he had to repeat the whole sequence.

    Hi, I guess there is some place where an explanation can be found but I failed finding it. I am also lookig into avionics at the moment, and I couldn't find neither an autopilot nor a radio panel. Are you willing to share which avionics you are using to make this set-up happening?     That re-route does not match up with the route that's in the video. It looks like you went north of the DC area and approached Philly from the Northwest.
