Great video. American car companies are worried - they can't compete with what's coming out of the Chinese auto market. Hence the need for tariffs to keep them out of the US. If you can't compete, keep them out.
That's only part of it. It's wanting to keep China down and "spying" out as much as it is wanting to prop up manufacturers. But also remember the best selling vehicle in the US is the f150, which there is no competition for anywhere in the world. So a Chinese sedan or sports car represents very little economic threat.
Nobody realy talked Bad over Japanese cars. Even hyundai is well known for good cars at least for 20 years. Chinese cars on the other gand, is something I will NEVER buy. Everyone who I know tries to avoid Chinese products (it's basically impossible to avoid 100%) Why? Because china is the biggest copycat. They simply copied everything last 40 years. It's ridiculous. They just stole ideas, engineering and gave a fck of patents and immaterial property.

I don’t think they’re fake. They are real Brembo’s, but curiously the caliper is massive while the brake pad is tiny. I also think the pad material & compound is more meant for low dust, quiet street driving, and obviously not made for high temp track abuse.

give Xiaomi 6 or 8 piston calipers, it'll transform into a real beast
Increasing the number of caliper pistons won’t make any difference if the thermal mass, brake cooling, and brake fluid remain the same.
