It's great to see a non-SUV EV coming out, Tesla should have pressed on with a more cost effective version of their planned Roadster rather than going with the Cybertruck in my opinion. A $60k roadster would sell in more markets than a $100k truck. I was quite surprised though that the MG doesn't have a frunk given the length of the bonnet, even the single motor version lacks one.
Rob, I've driven an EV not one like this admittedly. The acceleration is fantastic but not for me. as a working man, an EV like this is about 3 times my salary. I couldn't afford one. I still think EV aren't the way to go. But that's my personal opinion. I'm pleased you enjoyed that and for the lady for letting you do the video
Hold on for whatever you are driving for a few year. It is likely The EV catastrophic will sweep the global car industry and used car especially ICE will be something no one want. Because the new Ev will be cheaper than a used one.
Most cars are getting more and more expensive, but EV's are leading the way in terms of cost, especially with legacy automakers. They do price correct though via depreciation and make fantastic second hand purchases. MG has just begun offering lifetime warranties on their batteries in some countries, and have applied it to vehicles that have already been bought. Thailand is the first place they introduced it. Chinese battery tech is way ahead of what we have available in the West, mainly down to the fact that China wasn't lobbied by the large oil companies to prevent government investment or incentives in green tech development for the last 50 years.
No. It's Chinese for one and for another its pure EV and the other is it obviously beeps so much I'd want to set light to it and leave it in a field to burn to nothing.
bings and bongs are the scourge of most modern cars. My wife's Qashqai drives me mad with them when I drive it, and it re-enables them all next time you get in, so there's no point taking time to turn them off.
@@blusox78 I’ll keep my 20’year old high end old things thank you until my government bans them, which I expect imminently. At that point I might just hire a car if really needed or take a an ev cab and listen to music in the back.
Terrific review of a very interesting car. Top video, and thank you to the owner for letting us watch you have a great time!
Many thanks. It was great fun and I was pleasantly surprised!
They weigh over 2 tonne's can't go over 112MPH c

Let's jump right in to this. Looking forward to it!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Better looking than any Ferrari.
You should be able to go into menus and usually switch off certain warning bleeps.
I am sure the owner will be doing that ASAP!

Looks fab
@14.00 what kinda sky is that?😂😂😂
Aylesbury Vale sky!
I’d be honest with you the more you look at it, it looks more gorgeous.
It's a baby F-type, I am sure of it the more I think of it!
I wish my first go in an electric car is this car.
You should do a 0-60 launch from stand still that is how EV reviews are done.
Car wow did that 3.4 seconds 0 -62
Noted!
Looks fun, and a nice looking car. Not sure about all the bleeping, but I guess that comes with any modern car!
Yes, I think all new stuff has bells, whilstles, beeps and safety devices! Safety devices!
There's a "Free Plug" joke in here somewhere....👀🔌🤪. Lovely shade of Red🔴🟥...
No sound here - recorded on 1 channel?
I think I have sorted that now. Bloomin external mics doing their own thing
A "Chinese MG" is substantially better than a "UK MG" in every way. 👍
Dialogue sound is distorted

They're scissor doors not Gullwing.
Thanks for the info! I like this.
Now test drive a BYD SEAL! Both versions on proper road trips.
Great suggestion!
whats with the audio for headphone users
A setting on my external mics. Sorted now I hope.
Are you sure it’s not got a microwave fitted

"EV aren't the way to go" Yep acquisition cost is the only problem, that is not a problem with how they function.

Wow that is cruel and kind of dick move. Just learn how disable all the annoying warnings, you can just do that.
