I got to see them several times back in the 80s. They were a amazing Band with such powerful lyrics and the teachings that Mylon gave during the concerts. Pure awesome.
I saw them in concert more times than I can count. Wish we had more music like this now. Thank you Jesus for people like Mylon that brought so many to you
Songs like this and Steve Camps, even now, used to come to mind, when I was a backslider, on drugs, in the wee hours of morning, walking the street, after spending all I had on crack. Thank God for His ministers.
What a great ministry Mylon had in those early days of his musical Christian band career. Thank God he broke through the boundaries of traditional church music with contemporary gospel praising God all the while!
I was raised on this. I can't tell you how many times l watched this concert and Michael W. Smith's Live in Atlanta from 1985. Still my favorite music to jam to.
Before Mylon's band I did not know Jesus is The Saviour; music has taught me and helped me through sad, injuries, and my being a police detectives widow. Mylon's voice is so cool and his facial features look like my Spaniard and French Moma. At a concert in North Charleston I showed Mylon a pic. Of my Moma. He told a most awesome thing I tell so many people that don't really know Mylon!!!!❤️💗💞i Love him and Kenny Bentley, bass player!!
I was a young girl in the 1980s and my mother listened to Mylon lefevre she even took me to see his concerts at creation and fishnet. This really brings me back to the '80s and what a better time it was then
He came to Orlando at a festival. A Big Storm came, before they arrived. A lot of people left, but is few that waited on him got a private little concert in a building there. He apologized for being late. He said, we got pulled over by a state trooper Comin out of Texas. I told him I was an ordained Church of God minister. He looked at my long hair and said, yeah, right! Lol.
Wow, what a kick seeing this again! I saw Mylon many times and he never failed to put on a great show and properly present the Gospel!! Great band, great song ! @Matthew Ward's great Toward Eternity album is a classic by ANY measure (that's where the song came from)!
So blessed you put this up, as I brought Mylon & Brokenheart to my old church in New Orleans on a couple of occasions and remember how amazing their concerts were...thanks.
I went to this exact concert at Heritage USA tenth row back at their 'Camp Meeting USA' new venue in 82-83 ish... I remember Jim Baker standing in the back of the building rocking out in his 'hippie' concert garb... lol Great times and a very exciting time for Christian rock.... ;) I believe Mylon said in an interview he filled in as the lead singer for ARS on songs like SPOOKY for a short while...?
Do u see yourself in the crowd? He was closely associated with ARS. He pro0bably couldve been a member if he hadnt done his own thing with the Holy Ghost Do da Band. Ive asked what *exactly* was his involvement in ARS,but he never answered. Probably because he doesnt remember.
I remember being on his buss, when they came to Seattle. I was fashion police for the "sheep in wolves clothing", and a few years latter/better designes
@@ehrldawg It was actually on Matthew Ward's solo album "Toward Eternity." It wasn't a collaboration "per se." It was Matthew Ward's solo album. However, Phil Keaggy played guitars on every track. Ray Parker Jr. played on a few songs too.
Kingdom Bound at Darien Lake in the late 80s and early 90s - wow, decades ago now. These guys, Whiteheart, Whitecross and Will McFarlane and friends were amazing for a thirtyish year old only very few years into a life with Jesus Christ.
I must admit, it's the first time I hear of Mylon. He looks cool in his Elvis-style. Their live rendition of Michael Wards song (Second Chapter of Acts: th-cam.com/video/d7tFsEzxuS0/w-d-xo.html) is worth hearing.
He was electric and yet humble. He was legit and the concerts were church services. I experienced many as I attended too many to count nights of worship at his home church. Life changing. Will never forget it or be the same. Entire band was fire.
Scary times, those 80s. Electronic drums, mullets, goofy suits, weird stage mannerisms. The music was good though. When Christian rock actually rocked.
Well,as a lifelong fan of rock n roll;and,a fan of Christian music - specifically rock - since I became a Christian in '83; I think modern Christian rock isnt bad.
I remember Mylon once stating in an interview (I don't quite remember which magazine was conducting the interview) but he was asked about his very "unconventional" and even somewhat "worldly inappropriate" costuming, wardrobe & clothing he & his band members would wear on stage during their concerts, which were supposed to reflect Christian morals & evangelism. His quick & concise response to that was something to the effect of, "Do you expect us all to wear neck ties with sharp & shiny 3-piece suits? Well, even no good, gun slinging Gangsters wear 3-piece suits!" That was the best comeback I've heard in a long while!!! It's too bad we lost Mylon after a battle with cancer, in September of 2023. My Broken Heart, that Mylon is no longer with us.

When i’m cutting grass & this song comes on i hold my weedeater like my guitar & dance like these guys. People probably think i’m crazy!
Omg that's hilarious. That's ok when I'm in my home cleaning and using a broom I pretend it my guitar

Could Mylon know how much his song is fitting for today??
Probably !!
Saw this show twice... Guitarist David Payton was still playing last I knew. Not sure about the rest of the band...
I think broken heart went through several guitarist.
What is the scripture this song is based on ?
Revelation 13:13-18.

Matthew Ward song isn’t it?
Im not sure, but I believe so.
I wonder if there was a wasp nest on stage? Mylon is prepared for it :)
Rest in Peace

@ehrldawg his outfit looks like a beekeeper suit to me, and sadly Mylon passed away in September.
@@DJChrisSee Oh. Yeah,that is sad.
Those Simmons drums, though...
