Great tips! It's so much practice trying to make these second nature! Really takes time and experience sparring.
I want these defending tips so badly.Shane more videos on this topic please.
Fantastic video as always.

PJ is great in every video. I'd love to see you do more boxing videos, maybe "Fight Like" videos for boxing's P4P fighters right now. All your content is great, you're part of the reason I took up boxing!

I respect coach PJ for selling your punches so well... 😅
I like that gait block, definitely will help being more unpredictable with countering. Could you do a video on how to defend/counter against an opponent who flurries or chains in long combinations?
Thank you!
Shane !!!! Love those GLOVES !!!
Thanks so much
Shane we trained that pull thing today in my kickboxing lessons😀
You should zoom out so we'll be able to see your footwork
Very accurate and well executed ways to defend right hand punches! If you are in a tough situation on the street is the helmet guard. If you are good at it you can smash your attackers hand with your elbow. Have a great day Shane!
Huge fan
Very easy and helpfull
Hey Shane! I was wondering if you have a video, or if you can make a video of how to defend against people who swing fast. I see this in so many street fights and I was wondering if you knew or have gotten asked this before. It would be much appreciated if I got a reply.
Keep up the great work!
Pine Sol Front teep kick.
Could you do a video on Muay Thai defence ? Using long guard , checking kicks and defence against uppercuts and overhands- I always feel open to those shots
Nice 👍 keep up the good work 😁
Nice shane
Good video
Suggestion for a video: how to defend against a stomp/oblique kick?
very useful
Hey Shane, I really love and appreciate your videos. Do these same counters work if you are standing opposite of your opponent?
Great video! Can you do a vid on some savate or dutch kb moves?
Earn that pay check coach!!
I’m going to use this
I love how the poeple in the comments (aka the underdogs) are coming together and helping those how are just starting. Like seriously Sheen you have the best TH-cam fam💪🔥☝

Great video Shane. I love your channel especially your fight like series. Can you please do "fight like" videos on Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and possibly Wladimir Klitschko at some point? I'm sure it would be appreciated by everyone. :)
Beautiful
cheers thanks
Hey Zane just started kick box and my trainer is very impressed from the things i learned from you. But i think i am a little bit slow. Can u make a video about exercises for speed
Yesssssssssssss my guyy
Any tips on working your defence game, dodging and blocking punches and countering at home, by yourself without sparring?
waddap peaydjay!
pull is a good defense against the right hand cause you can see it coming but remember guys. its very likely that your opponents continues with the left hook. it doesnt have to land. Kind of like Aldo went against Conor. the left hand most likely lands on the shoulder but more importantly he is leaning to his right moving with your right hand so it doesnt have to do much damage if you target the chin. I recommend you target behind the ear if you have really good accuracy. dont close your eyes and watch your target guys, good luck. good video Shane
Thank you
this will help me..
ah yeah!
Love u brow
Please Shane make a video on how to have legs flexibility for those amazing high kicks.
I train Combat Sambo but cannot land high leg kicks, I feel like something's holding me back.
Please do a video on the peekaboo style and how to use it and what to use.
Also circuling away from the power hand as well
Love like he act the knockout 😀
Do a sparring session with pj it would be sick if you do
Please please please make video about shin condition. I ill be very thankful
Can you do a degense guide? I like staying in the corner and waiting for my oponent to come to me, i always get em! But id like to see were i can improve
You should show which or these punches and guards works better when reach comes into play both yourself and the opponents being both having longer and shorter reach.
Hey bro. Make a video on how to counter the Conor's left straight 👊
Can you make a video on how to slip the jab cross hook combo using head movement? I learned Muay Thai for like 6 months and what I learned on that time period is to perry the jab cross and then helmet guard for the cross. Also, how do I slip after I throw the jab cross hook combo?
Hey Shane wht is your thoughts on a right hand puncher fighting in a South paw stance
Any good tips/videos for southpaws ? Or I guess orthodox vs southpaw can also work. I assume I can do the same defenses that are in this video.
coach PJ at the start looks like he's signing what you're saying for the deaf viewers but in punch language
What’s better slipping or blocking
wow thats some winhchun moves inside
coach pj is so funny holy fuck i die every time i hear that awwe yeahh
Can u tell me how to block a lower waist level right jab??
When slipping someone's right, I like throwing my own as they throw as it almost always lands, try it against right hand counterpunchers
Make a video about how to dodge kick and jab
Shane when you do low kicks should you snap
What equipment do you recommend for all this?
Im always doing the pull counterpunch.
Shane can you please do a video on wrestling
Hey, sHANE! great video but could you make a video on how to not be worried about getting hit and pressure more. Like for me, I tend to back up too much and try to counter punch instead of keeping my guard up and moving in, closing the distance. I mean i dont know if its just me but im SURE there is other people like that out there. But what i mean is I always just move back and drop my left arm down and keep my right up, kind of like the philly shell stance, but i back up too much and if i dont i just try to slip. anyways it DOES help not getting hit of course, but its bad because i myself hardly land and its like nothing gets done. i want to be able to focus and move in and trade but still fight smart. sorry if it was confusing but i hope you know what i meant. Thanks!
just raise your shoulder high, hide behind it when the right comes
I had my first sparring session yesterday (boxing) anyone got any tips? Thanks
Fxhad__ yeah take up kickboxing or Mma,way more tools to defend yourself with, more enjoyable, boxing going to be punched a lot in the face because have to fight close range,
Fxhad__ breathe, don't eat anything that 3 hours before training, use comfort clothing and keep you're chin tuck and never leave your mouth open
Fxhad__ breathing is important! Remember to exhale sharply every time you punch. Keep calm, remember your footwork, don't leave your chin hanging, and don't be afraid of getting hit. Also, remember it's just sparring, don't go looking for a war and get carried away. So yeah, breath, keep calm, remember the basics, and try to improve!
Yeah, relax you get used to it (seeig punches flying) NEVER EVER DROP YOUR HANDS EVEN IF THEY ACHE SO MUCH and keep moving around
@@jamesmiles5662 they wanted a boxing advice not mma
Van you do one for a straight left. Not a left jab or left hook. My next opponent is a southpaw and I'm orthodox
Coach PJ....can I have your gloves....Shane won't re-up the supply at the hypnotik shop lol
+Jeffrey Krisanda I'm working on it, believe meeee! Damn shipment got delayed... again! Update coming soon. So sorry everyone 🙏🙏🙏
I naturally use the the 5th method
Probably wont read this because it isnt a top comment, but Shane I am Right Handed and Left Footed, does that give me an indication that I should be fighting in a Southpaw and an Orhtodoz stance or what? You’ve been a coach for so long you must of come across people like me. What is your advice on boxers who are left footed and right handed?
I'm not a coach but i think you should do what feels better and more natural for you. Try both but pick one and stick with it so you can work on it. Right handed people usually fight orthodox because usually they're stronger and more accurate on their dominant hand, so they can get more power on their right hand. But Bruce Lee had the opposite philosophy. He was right handed and fought Southpaw, for the opposite reason, he wanted his power strikes to be faster.
I am in the same situation and I always use Orthodox because I do boxing, as it let your liver far from your opponent, and still can use your dominant hand to the fullest. And if you use kicks too, you'll have stronger kicks from your front leg which is closer to the opponent
IRAD MAC ahh im a boxer, so i dont kick, does anything change or still the same advice?
+Blind Frog Like I Said, with orthodox stance your liver is harder to hit than with southpaw stance, and your punches with your dominant hand will be stronger too. So basically the same advice
Blind Frog Fight as orthodox. I'm the other way. Left handed but right footer. I do Krav Maga and MMA, I train both stance but still feel more comfortable sparring as a Southpaw. In a real fight I will definitely be as a Southpaw also.
How to guard cross with rear hand ?
Hi Shane how can i counter overhand right punch with a cross? Is it possible?
PJ looks like he's a cool guy.
+Bobby Fischer cooler than the other side of the pillow
fightTIPS That's cool.
if you are southpaw slip outside and throw lead uppercut and cross always works for me
THE MAULER makes no sense
Unless its southpaw vs southpaw
Tf are you talking about that makes no sense they’re talking about the cross dummy not a jab
What about for southpaws?
May I humbly suggest that you switch stance to accommodate southpaw fighters
is these block also allowed in boxing?
i know the parry is but what about the helmet guard or the high block?
Shoulder Roll also works fine , not everyone is James Toney though
Do you think anybody these will be different if you block as a southpaw?
Do the same video for southpaw
Is it a good idea to parry punches in a street fight without gloves
link for gloves?
