hey dan, i got some reccommendations for you. you should try and maybe install a lightweight distro of linux on the laptop. or if you dont want to do so, switch to another client as feather actually decreases performance while in gameplay. when you start the game, you should go to task manager and search for minecrafts process in the details section. after locating that, right click on the process, then go to priority, then click on realtime. what it does is locate more of the resources to minecraft than usual. also, try to use a video capture card and stop using obs. obs usually takes away most, if not all the performance you could be getting in minecraft. you should also use 8x8 packs as they also help.
This is because laptops often optimize battery usage once the laptop is unplugged, therefore the laptop intentionally gives VSync cap, but there are workarounds for this but it's not recommended.
Hey Notro, the video you made on the best gaming os(which was Nobara OS) has some download issues if you are not from an asian country. I would love to see you using the Fedora distrobution however it's basically the same. Nobara's been updated to the latest version of Fedora and has many more fixes though, another good video idea would be to test all the operating systems on the 20$ laptop which are different in a sort of way and advise us if they can be used for a lower performance laptop too. Hope you see this, I don't really think it is the best idea but you could think about it?
Feather is better for lower amounts of ram and 3rd-8th gen CPUs. I went from 8gb of ddr3 on 200 fps with a i7 4th gen, to 24gb of ddr3 on same CPU about 100 fps.

Using a modpack which has been tested, and is made to get the best performance possible would probably be a better choice.

You should be able to double your FPS.
So, for those of you who are curious, any fps above the laptop display refresh rate is unnecessary. This means that, after optimizing it as much as possible, you can then tweak the settings however you want until you can play at an avg. of what your display refresh rate is or on the other hand, you can turn on vsync in the options menu for minecraft and have the fps max set to the display refresh rate. Hi NotroDan ! Could you tell me what all the optimisations and mods you would recommend for a Toshiba NB250 ( 2GB DDR3, 256GB TeamGroup SSD, Intel Atom N455, 1.66 Ghz, 1 core 2 threads, Integrated Graphics, Windows 7 Family Premium Edition ) are ? Also, 1.7.10 Optifine ( EVERY setting on OFF and Fast Math and Fast Render ON ) set on High priority in Task Manager gets only 20 FPS. I need your help 😅.
Вы пробовали запустить Linux на таком ноутбуке?
@@Yfjdgbe123I'm trying installing nobara linux brother can you help i keep getting put into grub rescue mode when booting the usb and it's saying insmod not found?

Bruh i have a Lenovo Thinkpad with an Intel i5 Core and 20 GB of RAM, how well do you think it will run Minecraft?
hey NotroDan , i just wanted to tell you that my pc's performance is worst than that (i3 2nd gen, 4gb ddr3 and 600gb hdd) and i got more fps than that just by switching from windows to linux and use a lite window manager (i use awesome window manager) it will boost your fps ALOT!
