Really wish this game had an offline mode. When I first learned it was always-online, I was absolutely furious, and thus refused to buy or play it, and this still remains the case, always-online=no buy, no exceptions. We already have plenty of examples of games that can't be played anymore because they required an always-online connection, and another is joining the list soon, Battlefield 1943. Shame they probably won't ever patch this, the only hope is the community cracks the DRM like they did Need for Speed World. It looks fun, but the always-online DRM is a dealbreaker, and decades from now videos like this will be all there is, while people will still be able to play Underground no matter how much time passes.
Now THIS is a marvelous video. I agree 100% I love NFS 2015. The vibe, cutscenes, customization, map, wrap editor, all were spectacular. I didn't like the cop AI, or the vehicle physics, but at the end of the day, I see this game as definitely good with sooo much untapped potential. It just sucks that the servers will one day shut down, and I would never play it on my PS4.
I dont think they will shut it down. They will probably stay with this or they will give nfs 2015 a update so you dont need online! And if it would be shut down then it would probably take 10 years
I had so many fond memories of this game and the people I discovered when everyone was excited for it. It has it's problems, but I still enjoy. Granted the Unite mod has made the game what it should've been and honestly it's made the game feel more and more replayable imo. 2015 holds a special place in my heart. Looking at Payback, Heat, and Unbound one thing that makes 2015 enjoyable for me is the map, but more importantly, Ghost did a really good job with the course layouts making the events feel more replayable. I really wished that we got a solid AI to complete the package.
I think that's why the server is still maintained to date. 99% of the fans are playing this game not just bc it's good at graphics but also for curing the feeling of missing at that era. Same for me, I'm still playing this game just to enjoy the vibe and it's so nostalgic.
The moment I fell in love with this game was when I bought a Huracan, put elite upgrades and the GT3 body kit on it, and heard that beautiful V10 roar as it left the garage.
For me i think the best thing about nfs 2015 is the night setting blending up with the graphics it looks realistic and the driver protagonist gets a cool conclusion to his story

Dammit I miss this, I always really liked the whole handheld, on the ground feel this game had, it really made it feel in tune with car culture, I kinda just want this again.. but better, a bigger map, better AI, ya know, map wise, I think they did great, it really nailed the LA at night vibe, I just think they should've had a downtown and some more suburbs, there's some nice fan made concept maps out there that would've been cool, they should've just stuck with this for a while longer imo. Oh also, I always liked the UI and guages in 2015 a lot, really adds to the immersion, and the map menu style, just throwing that in there. Hopefully we get a good, proper successor to this someday, I'm glad that this game was and is around though, since my dad died around the start of 2015, so games like this helped a ton, I think he would've loved it.
I've played all four Ghost NFS games back-to-back with my EA Play subscribtion, there's really nothing that could leave a stronger impression than 2015's soothing LA street lights and silly but realistic cutscenes. There's really no nostalgia goggles speaking here when I've missed out two console generations until recently when I had a new PC to play these games
I played this game at the beggining of the year and absolutely loved It. I have to agree that the gameplay is not the most sophisticated, but the immersion in the underground street racing scene was unmatched by any other racing game
I wonder if this game will die on consoles when they shut down the servers, or maybe they'll update it with an offline mode patch when that time comes.
My only gripe with 2015 is only two things. Always online and everysingle car shifting like they have dual clutch gearbox. The game itself is rock solid, though.

I agree this NFS is the staple in the entire series. It gave NFS Underground, Mosted Wanted, and Carbon vibes all at once. I think if they fix the things like you mentioned your video and then bring back the storylines from previous titles before this back into the next one would be super cool. Honestly I feel they should bring back the racing styles from Underground, MW, Carbon, and Pro Street for one last time just for us 25+ year old crowd just to see where the community sits.
The few things I dislike about NFS 2015 is: the fact it's all supposed to take place in 1 night or a very short time period, the fact it's always raining _(which I guess if it's one night, that makes sense),_ zero steering wheel support (which was nice cause everyone was on the same playing field but with it's looks, steering wheel would've been much more entertaining). The real life cutscenes were, like always, trash but they were a nice addition. The rubberbanding was horrendous though.

2015 is really divisive for me. Some of my first memories with this game were literally me being frustrated I couldn’t play the game. Just to make it clear I had very bad, very unstable internet connection back then. So bad I was literally arguing with my dad that we needed better internet and he was basically telling “it fine, stop being a brat”. Couple this with bad physics and me having a lack of understanding with tuning. It was probably one the worst experiences with a nfs I’ve had(not exaggerating). Even then though it sort of revived my interest in the series. Like you said the immersion and atmosphere was good. It was cringy for sure but that’s the point right. You’re going to be uncomfortable if you were actually living out those moments. They did a good job as much as people shit on it. Up till 2015 I wasn’t really heavy into customization. Since that wasn’t where the series was during the PS3 era and I was a big fan of hot pursuit. During the PS2 era I was more about it but nothing like now. Now I spend hundreds of hours just racing(making money) and customizing cars. So it tough saying 2015 is totally trash when it’s the soul reason the series is where it’s at and can spend my time how I do. In more recent years I’ve gotten more jaded and frustrated with the series and apart of it is because of 2015. Just the amount of progress they made from rivals to 2015 while still trying to get there feet planted was crazy tbh. Compare that kind of progress to now and the series feels weirdly stagnant. Stagnant isn’t the right word it’s more like it’s always touch and go. We gain new content and features but we lose quite a bit too. I don’t know where I’m going with this… I guess that despite the down sides I sort of respect 2015 because the series wouldn’t be what it is without it. Even if the series has kinda lost it’s way, the core is still there.
@@CraptasticJack Always online just sucks for games like nfs. Especially if you paid money for the game. Back then it especially sucked since 2015 was quite literally my only game when I got my PS4 initially. Now it also lumes over me that 2015s servers will shut down one day making it unplayable(at least until someone decides to create an alternative to get the game running). Tbh that’s apart of the reason why I don’t play 2015 much. It just feels wasted if I continue playing it. Which isn’t right, I think it should be looked at more as being a friend you spend time with until they’re really gone. You know with a friend you don’t just cut them out your life bitter, you’re supposed make the most of it right? Maybe I’m being pretty vague… again 2015 is divisive. Some of my first memories with it were the worst but some my last have been some of the best.
The only reason people still play it because NFS 2015 is the last nfs game with toyota cars. Except that nobody want play it, the game terrible except the graphics. Campaign story sucks, and always online make it worse.
Nobody talking about how this game needs more visual cues on the races, I keep getting off track and have to be constantly looking at the GPS, not fun. But I love the driving, wish the physics were like in the originals, cars flying 😂 that was fun
I bought the game way back when in 2015 and here I am back in 2024 buying the game again. This time im buying it for nostalgia and because Ken Block has a Cameo
I wanna play this again SO badly but my PS5 says the servers are down??? I can play it on my Xbox One for some reason but I really really wanna play on PS5 cause I'm so close to the platinum trophy. Has anyone been able to figure out how to play this game on Playstation in 2023????
i really wish they release an offline patch for it's 10 year anniversary and add some fixes like the handling and AI i know this is a lot to ask but at least the offline patch to preserve the game would be nice.
oh yeah i remember the first time when i watched it , i was super excited , also i think there was a post of them saying the new era and new reboot was about to begin , this one is the 5th era if I'm right
It looked awesome and it was pretty drift focused in my opinion. That's what made by far the most fun. And don't call that 2021 piece of trash " a new Most Wanted", because it was NOWHERE NEAR what people want or wanted. 😭
I see alot of people comparing this game with the 2 newest generation of nfs such as unbound and heat based on the asset and how much the game offer. Like common man, if we talk about the 2015 compared with nfs games today, there's no way 2015 were looks more engaging then 2020s games. I don't care what people say about how lack is this game. Even until today i still playing it, not bc this game is better than any nfs game we have today but, for heart cureing. Nfs 2015 has a certain vibes in its era that never lasting end in the hearts of the fans. That's why this game let the server open to date. Playing this game is feels like nostalgia. I love this game so much. Heat is good but the graphics sucks more like playing an animation.
why loved 1 i own it on steam 2 i play it with a race wheel what makes drifting verry easy and fun 3 the drifting the action the story everything is good about this game
the graphics of the game when it was launched almost 8yrs ago was somewhat like not for that era and up until now the graphics of NFS 2015 is much better than NFS unbound (in my opinion). I am glad that I would still be able to play it on PS5.
Sliding through the canyons, hitting max speed on the freeway and playing with cops (although they suck, at least they indestructible, also more damage = more money after escaping). good times.
Man, I remember pre ordering this game as a kid and loving it. However, coming back to it as much as the atmosphere feels like a Blackbox Era NFS game, it aged like milk thanks to the poor physics engine, AI, it being always online, no separate customization like My Cars, and a Challenge Series. I could deal with less features but the physics and it being always online mainly was this games achellis heel especially for the Drift and Touge races.
2:49 NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, THINK ABOUT IT..... Rivals is a next gen HOT pursuit, 2015 IS a next gen underground , HEAT is a next gen Most wanted (the emphasis on cop chases and balancing that with racing is more in line with MW's design philosophy than a simple blacklist). in a lot of ways the biggest set back this franchise ever experienced the last gen was the INSANE expectations and constant dismissal from fans. Rivals 10 years later has only started to be appreciated more for what its doing VS how people viewed it back in 2013
Bleugh games just fucking suck now that's it. I don't think it's really that deep either the latter games just tried to mix too many ideas without having a theme and 2015 was probably the only game close to an identity.
I really enjoyed this game even if cops were ridiculous, but douing burnout in front of cop to get their attention was really cool detail. I haven't spend so much time in any newer NFS game tho. If HEat would focus on night mode then I'd probably call it best NFS
I play it right now just because of the prestige list. Never hated a game so much like this befor. Ununderstantible drift phiscs with a great taste of magicle oversterring. Entering in to a drift by pressing gas + break is like flipping a coin.
NFS 2015 was cool and one of the first games i got for my PS4. it looked cool, car selection was nice, handling was...weird but i got adjusted to it. i think it had the action cam on by default, which i hated, but you could at least change it. i liked the online high scores, always seeing if you beat your friends after a race. had a shitty internet connection at that time, which made the always online requirement very obvious and felt very unnessary. it ran at 30 FPS which is a huge downside for racing games in my opinion. i don't remember the story at all, but i remember i got the lamborghini aventador pretty early and after some upgrades, any race wasn't even a challenge. it was even great for the drift events. nothing like what made me love underground 2, constantly trying different cars and upgrading multiple at a time for different race types. this game was far from perfect, but looking back at it - it was a promising reboot and i didn't expect the following titles to keep the bad stuff and become even worse in other aspects, like gambling for upgrades in payback. didn't even bother to try heat or unbound and i don't feel like i missed anything
best need for speed after underground2 , they were on the right track but lack of real world racing. I loved it because this is what need for speed is ....awesome street racing with customs, good music and mad adrenaline.
Major respect, you said everything the way i was bro. This game was and is the best modern N4S. Unbound is a troll game, they used the same police sounds as 2015, the broken speedometer is the same as 2015. Criterion is a 🤡 they copy and pasted a lot from 2015 and degraded the graphics for cartoon bs. 2015>unbound
This game was oozing in style!!! I decided to redownload it for the nostalgia and the physics slapped me square in the face. Yuck. ( I am yet to try the brawltendo mod...I haven't given up on this game yet)
People love it because of nostalgia and the current nfs games are underwhelming for others but at the time nfs 2015 was released it is the most hated next gen need for speed because of bugs and goofy car handling
The only thing I don't like is the AI cops. I hoped they would release an update to improve the AI intelligence. If the cops were like Rivals or Heat, omg 2015 would be a 11/10 for me. I still play 2015, and Heat alongside Crew Motorfest👍

Stagnant isn’t the right word it’s more like it’s always touch and go. We gain new content and features but we lose quite a bit too. I don’t know where I’m going with this…
I guess that despite the down sides I sort of respect 2015 because the series wouldn’t be what it is without it. Even if the series has kinda lost it’s way, the core is still there.
Agreed 2015s always online sucked back in the day
@@CraptasticJack Always online just sucks for games like nfs.
Maybe I’m being pretty vague…
again 2015 is divisive. Some of my first memories with it were the worst but some my last have been some of the best.
The only reason people still play it because NFS 2015 is the last nfs game with toyota cars. Except that nobody want play it, the game terrible except the graphics. Campaign story sucks, and always online make it worse.
Nobody talking about how this game needs more visual cues on the races,
I keep getting off track and have to be constantly looking at the GPS, not fun.
But I love the driving, wish the physics were like in the originals, cars flying 😂 that was fun
I think it is because it is dark a shell also.
If only the drift detection/automation was fixed, it would have been a very enjoyable arcade experiencie all around.
I remember the hype for this game was crazy
This game is turning 10 and still passing the car culture vibes!
I loved this game idk why but its just one of those games i feel comfort playing
Bro the police charger is thrilled to kill me
The game is all racing. Even after the campaign, there’s still things to do.
i really wish they release an offline patch for it's 10 year anniversary and add some fixes like the handling and AI i know this is a lot to ask but at least the offline patch to preserve the game would be nice.
oh yeah i remember the first time when i watched it , i was super excited , also i think there was a post of them saying the new era and new reboot was about to begin , this one is the 5th era if I'm right
High speed driving in 2015 is phenomenal
It looked awesome and it was pretty drift focused in my opinion. That's what made by far the most fun.
And don't call that 2021 piece of trash " a new Most Wanted", because it was NOWHERE NEAR what people want or wanted. 😭
its almost been 10 years
This man is valid
Thx!
I still have this game installed on my Xbox
Same! Never Uninstalling it
@@CraptasticJack I’m not because I go back sometimes for a little nostalgia run.
@@CraptasticJackwe should organise a meet in the game
Amazing is my favorite game for my PS5!!😊🎉❤
7:30 The prestige events in this game are actually insane. It makes the game so much worse if your hunting Gold
they are literally impossible 0.01 percent completion on xbox.
They are so unreal @@lionfire3359
I like the story and graphics, and I also like that its in my city.
Heat is good but the graphics sucks more like playing an animation.
why loved 1 i own it on steam
2 i play it with a race wheel what makes drifting verry easy and fun
3 the drifting the action the story everything is good about this game
the graphics of the game when it was launched almost 8yrs ago was somewhat like not for that era and up until now the graphics of NFS 2015 is much better than NFS unbound (in my opinion).
I am glad that I would still be able to play it on PS5.
First! W video. Gg.
Sliding through the canyons, hitting max speed on the freeway and playing with cops (although they suck, at least they indestructible, also more damage = more money after escaping).
good times.
Let's be fair NFS MW 2012 is not MW they just strapped the name to it to sell more copies
Because they actually got the multi-player right, AT LAUNCH
Tbh the netcode was terrible lol.
If HEat would focus on night mode then I'd probably call it best NFS
best NFS since the goat era until now
As somone who grew up with underground 1,2, carbon and the real most wanted (2005) i actully like this game, dont much like the newer ones.
Tbh I thought the live action cutscenes were kinda cringe a lot of times but other than that and how Much the game favors drift builds I love it
Heard black kray and had to like the video ☠️
😤😤
The Vibe is right
Watched this video. Downloaded nfs2015 again. Fuuu i love this game
I agree that this game is rad
It's just unfortunate that it's not crossplay
hey, i just bought nfs 2015 cuz it looked cool, is it too late to get grinding?
Bro i found many Bugs on it .. I installed it today, It has controller bugs, Texture dissappearing Bugs..etc
best need for speed after underground2 , they were on the right track but lack of real world racing. I loved it because this is what need for speed is ....awesome street racing with customs, good music and mad adrenaline.
Agreed! Just needed better AI and handling.
The best nfs they made i don’t get why they moved away from those aesthetic
They should make a nfs that just expanded the map.
This game was oozing in style!!! I decided to redownload it for the nostalgia and the physics slapped me square in the face. Yuck. ( I am yet to try the brawltendo mod...I haven't given up on this game yet)
Get the Subaru. Very versatile at middle tuning.
Too bad the new EA launcher doesnt let me install mods :/
There is a workaround on the project unite discord
NFS heat is probably the best one since most wanted
Buddy i want to play this game in 2023 but can i race co-op?
People love it because of nostalgia and the current nfs games are underwhelming for others but at the time nfs 2015 was released it is the most hated next gen need for speed because of bugs and goofy car handling
The only thing I don't like is the AI cops. I hoped they would release an update to improve the AI intelligence. If the cops were like Rivals or Heat, omg 2015 would be a 11/10 for me. I still play 2015, and Heat alongside Crew Motorfest👍
