Sorry but I have some issues with the episode;
1) if Virginia wanted Morgan dead so badly, why didn't she just kill him instead of leaving him for the walkers?
2) how did the dog Rufus magically catch the scent of a man Emile didnt even know existed, let alone had something for Rufus to sniff to hunt Morgan? Im no dog expert but that doesn't seem right.
3) i just don't think that Virgina's reason for hating and hunting Morgan is strong enough, she says "your friends better not know you are alive and you better not even try to convince them"

Please correct me if I am missing something.
(Before I say my thoughts, I need to make a few disclaimers. I'm gonna be judging this episode based on what happened last season. I will not judge it based on what the series used to be, or else I will keep on complaining that the show changed for the worst. And I will judge the episode on what it's supposed to be, the storyline and what it means for the rest of the season.)
This episode was actually good. And I mean one of the best episodes since a long time. However this episode is so much different from FTWD, even from the new changes because it focuses on Morgan only, no mention or showing our other survivors and so on. But that's not a bad thing because its uniqueness is what makes the episode stands out. I want to discuss some key moments.
- right away Morgan is seen alive. Obviously the trailers show Morgan but that didn't prove if he was alive, those could have been dreams. But showing Morgan alive clears up all the confusion and anger at the end of s5.
- the bounty was a menacing but short villain on the show. He would find his victim and bring it to whoever hires him. He never gave up and used his dog to help him on his way. His hatchet makes it easier to chop the heads off and I was kinda disappointed he died immediately.
- Isaac helping him is like what Morgan and the group did in s4 & s5. They want to help people and Isaac showed Morgan that helping people he knows and loves is the way to live now, even if it means dying. It sucked Isaac died but his wife & kid will live on and hopefully we get to see them again.
- Morgan evolved in this episode. He wanted to be alone but not because he didn't want to help, he didn't want anyone else to get harmed by Virginia tactics to hunt down Morgan. But once seeing the letter from the person that saved him and Isaac trying to help Morgan from the bounty, he understands now that he need to help others and not just by running away, but killing if he has to. He's becoming more clear than Eastman. And I'm looking towards to whether Morgan will raid Virginia place and murder them just to save his group.
- there are a few flaws i want to point out. There's no explanation of Morgan partial immunity. What happened to his red eyes? Why did Isaac point a gun at Morgan? How did the bounty know who Morgan looked like? And how did the dog know how Morgan smelled like?
I mean it's still a good episode, however with the trailer showing what's coming up throughout the season instead of next week episode, I'm not seeing any hope that next week episode will be good. And I had no idea you had raise a family. I thought you were a single guy.
Always love reading your explanations of the episodes. One thing the gangrene from the infection due to not getting the bullet fragments is what caused the red eyes and the dying flesh that kept the walkers away. Not sure how he was able to get morgans scent or a drawing of him but maybe that will be explained at some point.
Yes Im married with a family. 1 teenage boy. 10 year old girl and a 1 1/2 year old daughter. Keeps me busy the rest of my time when I'm not working lol
All great about the première, only cons that this cool villain (and actor), the bounty hunter, gets killed in his first ever episode appearance...
Don't know why, but I found this guy creepier and more evil even than Beta!!!
Yes he was amazing and more realistic in many ways then beta so that's probably why
I agree, I Wish he could have been around the whole season. Yeah he was a more realistic villain than Beta. The fact he was of sound mind but could still hunt people down and take their heads made it more chilling for sure.

@@TWDUniverse So I guess Fear will continue to be behind TWD in the timeline. Morgan mentioned he was shot 5 or 6 weeks earlier. So not much time has past. I was thinking it was going to be a multi year time jump.
